321 RUN AWAY AGAIN
The two men Bai Chen mentioned finally looked up and stared at the Werewolf Prince in surprise. Yes, the two of them did have expressions full of surprise upon hearing Bai Chen’s question, and they even looked at each other before looking away when they inadvertently made eye contact.
“There is no relationship between me and this stinky fish, Prince Bai Chen. We are neither friends nor enemies. We are just two people who don’t know each other. That’s all,” it was Crown Prince Wu Jingguo who answered Bai Chen’s question.
The Crown Prince’s reply sounded confident, but Bai Chen didn’t look satisfied with it as he replied, “You don’t know each other, Your Highness? But two strangers wouldn’t stand too close to each other holding hands. That’s just my opinion, though.”
Bai Chen only spoke based on what he had witnessed earlier. When he had just arrived in front of Jing Jing Liutang together with Wu Jinhai, that was that sight that greeted his eyes, and that was why he didn’t think it was right for the two men to insist that they were just two strangers who knew nothing about each other.
“We’re not holding hands!” Wu Jingguo quickly denied the accusations, and his face was red with anger or embarrassment. “This rotten fish was trying to harass me, and I held his hand just to stop him! Can you stop looking at me like that, Prince Bai Chen? There’s no way I’m in a relationship like that with a man because I’m not gay!”
The more Wu Jingguo denied it, the more suspicious Bai Chen felt toward the two men. “I didn’t even mention what kind of relationship you might have with Yu laoban, Your Highness. Why do you look panicked all of a sudden?”
“…” This time, Wu Jingguo couldn’t give Bai Chen a quick answer, and the silence meant a lot to the Werewolf Prince.
Something was going on, but before Bai Chen could even ask for a further explanation, someone suddenly laughed out loud, and three heads turned to the person who had just laughed out loud.
“I didn’t mean to interrupt your interrogation, but I’m just proud that you are getting smarter now, wife,” who had just laughed out loud, Wu Jinhai, explained the reason behind his laugh while looking at his lover who was still sitting on the horse’s back.
.....
Bai Chen snorted when Wu Jinhai called him that again when they weren’t the only ones in front of Jing Jing Liutang. He was both embarrassed and delighted, and he couldn’t even decide which feeling was more robust in his heart.
In the end, Bai Chen chose to hide his embarrassment as he said to the man in red, “Just help me get down! I’ll continue to find answers to my curiosity after I get off!”
Suddenly, Wu Jinhai chuckled after hearing what Bai Chen had just said. “You sure are getting smarter, but you’re still my spoiled wife, right, ChenChen? Just jump off the horse now, and I’ll catch you,” he said as he held out his hands so he would be able to catch the younger man as soon as the man jumped off the horse.
But Bai Chen once again snorted in annoyance after hearing Wu Jinhai’s words. Spoiled wife, huh? He still couldn’t fully accept his destiny to be called a wife, but Wu Jinhai just called him a spoiled wife?
Of course, Bai Chen’s pride was hurt by that, and that was why he didn’t plan to jump into Wu Jinhai’s arms. Instead, he once again turned to Wu Jingguo before saying, “Please lend me your hand, Your Highness. I only need your hand to support me when I get off this horse.”
Wu Jingguo looked taken aback, and Wu Jinhai couldn’t believe what he had just heard as he blinked his brown eyes at the man in white. Bai Chen just rejected him? Yes, that was the truth.
And even if Wu Jingguo looked shocked and confused, he still stretched out his hand towards Bai Chen, and the Werewolf Prince accepted the hand before he got off the horse’s back. With Wu Jingguo’s help, both of his feet managed to land safely on the ground. When he glanced at Wu Jinhai, he could see the man was still spreading his arms out with a look of disbelief on his face, and he could smirk at the man as he managed to get his revenge.
Someone suddenly laughed, but this time it wasn’t Wu Jinhai. Instead, it was Yu Ming who burst into laughter after witnessing how Wu Jinhai was humiliated by his wife.
“Come on in. I believe we have some things we need to discuss,” Yu Ming said wisely, and without waiting for anyone’s response, he turned his body around before walking silently toward Jing Jing Liutang.
Wu Jingguo looked like he was irritated by how Yu Ming was acting as if the man was a leader or something, but he still followed the man in black to enter Jing Jing Liutang. The two men had left the front of the pavilion, and only Bai Chen and Wu Jinhai were still standing by the black horse.
“Ask someone to take your horse away, Wu Jinhai. It will run away if not taken care of,” Bai Chen coldly spoke to Wu Jinhai, but Wu Jinhai only returned his words with his cold gaze.
It was obvious that Wu Jinhai was infuriated with him, but Bai Chen just stared blankly at the man and didn’t realize that danger was approaching him. Yes, the danger that was closing in on him was called Wu Jinhai, and that danger made a move as he suddenly grabbed Bai Chen’s wrist before pulling the man so that he fell into his arms.
“You are the one I have to take care of, Bai Chen. You might run away again if I don’t take care of you, right? That’s why I need to do something so you can’t escape.”
Finished saying those words, Wu Jinhai once again took off his golden mask before landing his mouth on Bai Chen’s slender neck. Bai Chen screamed as the man attacked him in the open, and he wasn’t the only one shocked as another pair of eyes watched how they were acting lovey-dovey in broad daylight.
