Prologue

Chaos erupted in the banquet hall as the monster suddenly appeared.

Eden inhaled deeply as she saw the monster struggle, barely constrained by a weak magic.

“Sigh…”

Then she grabbed the sharp piece of glass and took a glance around. Amidst the chaos, the imperial knights guarded the emperor and the chancellor, both of whom were inside a protective magic circle.

The chancellor remained expressionless as he watched the confrontation between the monster and the 3rd prince, as if he wasn’t  bothered by the commotion.

The expression on the 3rd prince’s face was no different.

“How could they react like this…”

A sigh was heard from Eden, and her eyes wandered.

The archduke, unlike the others who fled the banquet hall to escape the monster, was taking his time spinning a glass of wine at a spot where the monster could see him…

If the chancellor showed no response to the ruckus, it was apparent that the archduke was ‘enjoying’ himself in the situation.

“……”

This was driving her crazy.

Eden groaned, and she finally checked the place where she had to run. It was where the holy knight was standing. She knew he was capable of handling the monster with only one hand.

Although the holy knight had the most experience, he was neither as indifferent nor happy like the chancellor and archduke.

He seemed to be aware of the gravity of the situation, but he remained unfazed.

The fact that he doesn’t kill it right away while holding om his sword means that he understands the gravity of this situation. And getting him to move was what she had to do.

At last, Eden came to a decision and turned to face the monster in front of her—no, at the 3rd prince who stood motionless in its path.

The weak magic that tightly bound its hard body was on the verge of being cut off. 

The monster, who was enraged, screamed loudly as if it would cut off the 3rd prince’s head immediately when it was free, but the 3rd prince’s expression was still nonchalant.

And today, Eden had to save the 3rd prince.

Eden slowly moved her body, which stiffen after seeing the monster she encountered for the first time in her life and gulped.

The monster turned out to be much larger than she imagined, it was awful and terrifying.

It was different from the cute little monsters she had only encountered on the monitor.

She’ll probably die if it bites her…….

“……”

So she may not succeed. What if she failed?

“Is there going to be a…… reset?”

Eden muttered in a voice so low that no one could hear it, and opened her left palm.

If it doesn’t reset… 

“Sigh…….”

Eden squeezed her eyes shut, trying not to think of the terrifying thought, and ripped her palms with the piece of glass she was holding.

“Ugh……!”

An unfamiliar pain rushed over her entire hand.

“Come out!”

However, without a moment to catch her breath, the monster Tannir finally cut off the magic, and a terrifying howl was heard.

Eden took the bottle she had brought in her pocket, opened the cap with her teeth, and poured it onto the palm of her hand, which was dripping with blood. The blood and the dark crimson liquid have a dreadful smell.

“……!”

Soon after, the monster that sensed the smell stopped trying to attack the 3rd prince. 

The monster’s eyes dilated and its lips dripped with saliva in response to the scent.

Eden smiled firmly as she made eye contact with the monster.

“Yes, here it is. Do you want it?”

As planned, the monster gave up on the 3rd prince and rushed to her, so Eden quickly turned around and ran.

Screams were heard from all directions due to the rampage of monsters.

“Ahhhhh!”

Now, all that was left was up to the players.
