Chapter 319 - I forget your and your company's name

Xiu Mei was surprised how shamelessly he put all the blame on Feng Corporation without taking their name directly. But will she allow someone to slander her husband's name in public? Never.

"Ahh…. I'm amused you think that I don't know what the court case was all about. Just for the information… Although Feng Corporation is my rival, I'm very well aware of the real defaulter in this case" Xiu Mei said while eyeing critically at Kong Da and Kong Liu, who was walking from a distance to join her father.

Hostility in Xiu Mei's eyes didn't go unnoticed from Mr. Qiao's experienced eyes who was standing next to her.

A look of shock crossed Kong Da eyes as she refused to give him any face. It's true that his company doesn't hold much value in front of R-Tech and PE, but no one can decline that Kong IT is still among the top IT companies for its services like mainframe modernization, cybersecurity, and application maintenance and support.

However, it lost its value after Phoenix Enterprises started to spread its wings and captured a big chunk of market share by providing advanced client services.

"Hahaha… I'm sure a lady of your stature would be well informed" He suppressed his anger in a laugh and leaned forward slightly to whisper, "But many things are kept under wraps from general public. I'm sure must not be aware of the insider news of your biggest rivals. However, I'm well aware of their unfair practices" Xiu Mei moved back a little feeling disgusted and raised her brows at the suggestive words.

Kong Da signaled his son to play the next card as Kong Wei got up from his seat carefully and adjusted his clothes. Like his father he cannot use any walking stick for support, thus before coming here he opted for strong painkillers whereas Kong Da cannot afford to use strong painkillers because of age factor.

"Miss. XM, how about we discuss business over dinner tonight? I've heard that the President of R-Tech is in Country B, it would be an honor to have him on board. If you want I can invite him personally" With a plastic smile Kong Wei butted in, confident that being the leading Presidential candidate she would not dare to reject his invite.

"Excuse me….. You are?" Xiu Mei asked, pointing her finger at Kong Wei. He was so confident of his identity that he didn't even consider to give a formal introduction first. However, Xiu Mei made him taste bitter gourd with her words.

"Cough…. I-I'm Kong Wei"

"Kong Wei?? Never heard of you! Which company are you representing?" She raised an eyebrow before eyeing Kong Da and alternated her finger at both, "Hold On! You both are Kong. If I'm not wrong are you here on behalf of the same company. What was it?" She made an apology face at Kong Da, "I'm sorry… I forget your and your company's name"

"You…" Kong Liu was about to argue back when Kong Da holds his daughter's hand to stop her. He signals her to look around the venue, they are in the presence of high profile people and cannot dare to act wild.

Soon after that Kong Wei took over the charge to handle the situation, "Yes, he is my father, chairman of Kong IT, a philanthropist, and a very respectable figure in Country B, General Kong Da. And I'm his son Kong Wei, President of People's political party" Giving an exaggerated introduction of his father and hinting her about him, he came straight to the point, "We have heard that R-Tech is planning to set a manufacturing unit and is looking for land and resources. Well, you must have heard about Country….."

"I don't think this is the correct place to discuss it" she interrupted.

"Exactly! That's why I formally invite you, Mr. Lu Xion and President of R-Tech at dinner. I'm sure this deal would be beneficial for all the parties"

Unbeknownst to them, Xiu Mei already knows their intention from the moment they approached her but she wanted to have little fun. Looking at them she sneered inwardly. Just wait and watch, this is just the beginning.

"Oh! You are little late in inviting me for dinner as I already promised Mr. Qiao for it" Xiu Mei turned her head sideways and gave a meaningful smile to Mr. Qiao as if hinting him to support her in the current situation. He obviously heard the entire conversation and saw everything clearly, but never thought that he would be directly benefitted by this as the woman self-invited herself for dinner. Great! Who would reject the golden chance?

Lu Xion was paying attention to all of this but did not interrupt and let her fight this alone. He was there only to protect her from danger, rest everything she has to manage herself.

"I'm sorry Mr. Kong but tonight this young lady is eating dinner with us" Mr. Qiao smartly raised his voice few decibels to proudly announce it to everyone and further to make sure that she does not refuse it later.

"Er….Mr.??? Sorry, I forgot your name again. Please contact my secretary for an appointment. Normally my schedule is prepared three months in advance but it's perfectly fine, we can have dinner three months later"

The situation turned awkward for Kong's as after mocking them Xiu Mei ignored them in all possible way and without excusing herself, she brought her attention back to Mr. Qiao and his team. Kong Da's face turned extremely ugly when he saw she was talking to Mr. Qiao so candidly but treated him with hostility.

'Does she think herself as President of R-Tech?!! Isn't she just an ordinary representative of the company who works for petty wages and nothing else? How dare she ignored me and mocked against Infinity Software? Is she courting death? She does not have the right to disrespect me in front of everyone. I'm Kong Da' His grip tightened on the walking stick thinking about an idea to harm her.
