Chapter 351 - Trying luck with the diamond ring

Xiu Mei was stunned by Feng Jianyu's grand plan. When did he plan all this?

Tears fall uncontrollably from her eyes, amidst her crying she nodded her head. In a small kitten-like voice, she said, "Yes"

Feng Jianyu looked at the ring box and hesitated a little before opening it, revealing a beautiful ring that featured a pear-shaped sapphire as the crown and a cluster of twelve marquise diamond pear-shaped weighing a total of 3.97 carats, set in platinum. It belongs to the Eagle collection of HW jewelry house, one of a kind piece.

Lu Xion saw the diamond ring; the hesitation on Xiu Mei's face didn't go unnoticed from his eyes and so as Feng Jianyu's. He instantly closed the box. "I know… I know…. No need to feel pressurized, I was just trying my luck with the diamond ring. It's just that I like the design very much; it'd look perfect on your slender long fingers. Hold on…."

Xiu Mei looked at him surprisingly as he pulled out another box from the pocket and opened it. The other ring was equally beautiful and available in a set. Made of Rose gold, the man's ring was sandblasted and lightly hand-hammered while the women's ring looks like interlocked vines. What made the rings special was the imprint of the woman's ring inside the rim of man's ring as if the woman's ring was cut out of it.

The meaning was clear 'I carry you in my heart'….

Xiu Mei crouched down in front of the man, she cupped his face lovingly and nudged his nose with hers. Still crying, she rests her forehead over his, "You monster… Stop being so adorable…." She hugged him tightly, amidst her crying it was impossible for her to say something. 

"Mei, rings….."

Xiu Mei giggled at the overdose of cuteness and kissed below the ear before she pulled back and got up, "Forever I'm yours, eternally you are mine" she extended her hand and he took the simple ring out of the box but heard her say, "Jianyu… am I allowed to be greedy?"

He looked up at her questionably and she pointed at the pocket where the diamond ring was, "I like it more. But this simple ring is special due to the implicit meaning behind the design. Please, I want both the rings…"

His eyes sparkled like thousand stars showing the most charming smile and Xiu Mei realized that letting go of some things can be the reason for someone's happiness.

Feng Jianyu reached for Xiu Mei's left hand and slides the rings on her ring finger and gave a kiss, his lips lingered for a long time on her fingers. He got up and took her in his embrace while she showed the rings to everyone.

Xiu Mei took out the man's ring from the box and slides it on Jianyu's ring finger.

Once more the fireworks played, illuminating the dark sky….

Feng Jianyu and Xiu Mei looked into each other's eyes…

"C'mon kids… cover your eyes… Uncle and aunty are going to do something that's not appropriate for you to see" Feng Junjie instructed and covered the eyes of two kids but they pulled his hands down. "No! We want to see…."

Feng Junjie "…."'Kid's these days are shameless....'

"I love you, my monster" whispered Xiu Mei before covering his lips.

Feng Jianyu parted from her lips, "I love you 2…3…4…till the counting goes on"

He covered her lips once again, lifted her up off the ground and swirled while keeping their lips locked. She giggled, her melodious laughter spread in the air...

Instead of opting for fine dining in an expensive restaurant, Feng Jianyu has planned to eat dinner in the mess with everyone including kids. Michelin star chefs were flown down to make a lavish spread for the couple and their special guests.

Keeping in mind that Xiu Mei loves tangerine flavored desserts, the world's best pastry chef from France prepared the variety of pastries with a touch of tangerine flavor.

It was the first time for kids to get to eat the dishes they have never even heard of. With every bite their expressions were priceless, and Xiu Mei was most happy seeing them whereas Jianyu was happy seeing Xiu Mei's smile.

On seeing Lu Xion leaving silently instead of joining them at the table Xiu Mei excused herself and went after her.

"X…."

Lu Xion halted in his steps when he heard her calling and turned back with a smile, "Little tomato, go and enjoy. I've some urgent work"

"I know what your urgent work is. You are…." She retorted but he placed a finger on her lips "Shh… Worry wort! Stop worrying about me, I'm fine" His hands went for her eyes as he lightly touched her eyelids making her eyes flutter. He let out a breath and reluctantly pulls down his hand and caressed her head, "I bless you a lifetime of happiness with Jianyu. God doesn't give a second chance to everyone; he gave you and Jianyu…. Cherish it forever"

Although Lu Xion was very good at hiding his emotions, feelings, and pain, he cannot escape from Xiu Mei's eyes. They have spent a long time with each other, their bonding is beyond words and without saying they can read each other's heart.

"Feng Jianyu…. If you dare hurt her, if you dare make her cry, remember…. I'm Lu Xion, King of the underworld, I won't think twice before dragging you to my torture chamber. Think thousand times before hurting this little tomato" Xiu Mei looked back and found Feng Jianyu standing there with hands tucked in pockets, looking at Lu Xion with sharp eyes.

Xiu Mei wanted to go back to Feng Jianyu but LU Xion pulled her, placing a hand on her shoulder he tucked her beside him, "Let him promise"

Feng Jianyu smirked, "Good!" Xiu Mei frowned at his answer and he continued, "I won't lie but I don't like you, you are arrogant. You remind me of old Feng Jianyu for some reason. However, I'm glad that she has someone like you in her life" He extended his hand, "Thank you! Maybe we could become friends one day"

Lu Xion looked at Jianyu's hand and let go of Xiu Mei. He hand shook with Jianyu, "I don't like you either. As far as friendship is concerned…." He looked at Xiu Mei with a smile, "No thanks! I have someone special"

Feng Jianyu hugged Xiu Mei as they saw Lu Xion leaving from there…

"Just the thought of not seeing you for a single day makes me feel restless; I can't even imagine what Lu Xion must be going through" Feng Jianyu's hug tightened around her thinking about living without Xiu Mei.
