Chapter 44 - What do I do now!!!!

Suddenly Ruhan had a bad premonition. He had a hunch what Lisa was planning.

Was he going to be framed by this damn girl...again???

Lisa looked at Mr. Ahmed and then at Ruhan....then she lowered her eyes, it seemed that she was debating whether to open her mouth or not.

Ruhan wanted to vomit blood after seeing her acting. However..he wouldn't let her continue with this acting.

"Mom..actually Lisa was scared after seeing a cockroach and thus lost her balance...it's not what you think."

Lisa nodded her head eagerly. It would have been better if she didn't say anything. But her reaction further convinced everyone that there was something wrong between them.

Ruhan saw through her intention and gritted his teeth. But he couldn't say anything. Afterall Lisa spoke on behalf of him. If he now accused her of acting and scheming against him, he would be the unreasonable one in everyone's eyes.

Ruhan's younger cousin's looked at him with disdain. In presence the of the elders, they didn't say anything. But in their hearts they had already considered Ruhan guilty!

"Our sister-in-law is so sweet and smart! Yet brother Ruhan bullies her like this! He really doesn't know how to cherish the good things in his life." his cousin Rakib whispered to others.

He had never liked this cousin of his. He was both surprised and delighted when he saw that this black sheep had married a good girl like Lisa. He thought that this cousin would finally mend his ways and become a good person. Who knew that he would even lash out to his wife like this!!!

Domestic violence was something that was unheard of in the Ahmed family. This black sheep was the only one who dared to harm his wife like this.

Mrs. Ahmed didn't want unmarried children to witness this disturbing scene. So she gestured them to leave the room. All of them gave Ruhan a warning look and left the room unwillingly.

Ruhan was speechless. They were his own blood related relatives. He didn't understand why they would trust an outsider over their own cousin!!!

After the irrelevant people left, grandmother glanced at Mrs. Ahmed and told her, "I will leave it to you. Take good care of this situation. The outsiders better not find any chance to claim that the Ahmeds don't treat their daughter in law well."

She then looked at Ruhan.

He couldn't stand her scrutinizing gaze and shuddered.

After she left the room, all of them sighed inwardly of relief!

Mrs Ahmed turned to Lisa and Ruhan and asked them, "whatever happened in this room I want to know in details. I will not tolerate any lie or excuse. "

Ruhan wanted to tell something but Mr. Ahmed shot a threatening glance at him. Clearly he wanted to hear everything from Lisa's mouth.

"I think my injuries are enough to tell what happened in this room. I don't want to go into any details." Lisa pursed her lips.

"You...you b***h, liar. What nonsense are you sprouting? " Ruhan aggressively screamed at her.

"Tell the truth. Say that you injured yourself to frame to. Don't you dare to lie...otherwise... "

"Otherwise what?" Mr. Ahmed interrupted. His voice was calm but his eyes were red. It goes without saying that he was trying his best to control his anger.

"Why did you stop? Otherwise what will you do?"

"Dad..." Ruhan's anger evaporated and fear occupied his heart.

"Dad you have to believe me. She is lying. I didn't even touch her...."

"Yes...you are right. I did everything myself. Even these marks are self inflicted " Lisa said as she revealed her arms.

Everyone was stunned to see various scar marks and bruise in Lisa's hand. Aside from scars, there was a distinct palm print in her arm. It was evident that someone had grabbed her hand forcefully that left the palmprint in her arm.

'Damn it' Ruhan cursed himself. The marks must be the results of their struggle earlier. Now how was he supposed to explain himself?!

"Dad..mom..it's true that I grabbed her earlier forcefully. But that was all. I didn't hit her or injured her. You have to trust me."

"And a few minutes ago you claimed that you didn't even touch her." it was clear that Mr. Ahmed had already considered him guilty.

Lisa looked at Ruhan and smirked. As Mr. And Mrs. Ahmed's backs were her, naturally they didn't see anything. But her action further angered Ruhan.

He went near bed and grabbed his file.

"Mom, dad, look..I transferred my properties under her name. I wanted to mend our relationship. This time I am serious about our relationship. Otherwise why would I transfer my properties? "

Mrs. Ahmed began to waver. His logic was not wrong. He always cherished these properties. He wouldn't have transferred them if he wasn't sincere.

Ruhan noticed her dilemma and decided to push further.

He pointed at Lisa and said, "It is this girl who does not want to continue this relationship. She didn't even let me touch her since the day we married. The bruises were also the result of her struggle when I wanted to get close to her."

At this point, he didn't even care if he had to reveal their private matters. He would never let Lisa succeed in framing her again.

Mr. and Mrs. Ahmed became surprised to hear this. The couple on the surface seemed harmonious. What else they were hiding?

They looked at Lisa...it was clear that they were asking for proper explanation.

Ruhan also looked at her and raised his eyebrows. As if he was challenging her.

If Lisa confirmed his allegation, his parents would no longer blame her. And if she denied, he would eat her alive as soon as his parents left the room.

Either one was fine for him.

Lisa saw the change of situation and cursed him.

Then she frantically tried to look for an excuse.

'What do I do now!!!'
