Chapter 48 - No matter what!!!

"I didn't...elope with him..."

Mrs. Ahmed didn't understand what exactly Lisa meant by that.

The fact that Ruhan and Lisa eloped together was the only reason they held a quick wedding for them. Otherwise...In the condition the Akters are right now, the possibility of Lisa marrying into their family was quite low....not to mention the Akters already rejected Ruhan once before.

But now..Lisa claimed that she didn't elope with Ruhan!!! That's just absurd. If that's true then why did Ruhan agreed to marry her into the family?

What the hell happened between these two?

"Do you even realize the nonsense you are just sprouting? What do you mean by this? We clearly saw your marriage certificate. Ruhan himself confessed that he eloped with you. It was the only reason we held this wedding quickly to salvage our reputation.

If you guys didn't elope in the first place then why did you to us like that?"

Mrs. Ahmed was really angry with both her son and daughter-in-law.

Did they take marriage as a joke?

"The marriage certificate was fake. I fabricated it. With your son's careless, it was a very easy thing to do." Lisa sighed.

"Why? Why would you deceive us like this?"

Mrs. Ahmed gritted her teeth. She just didn't understand that even if Lisa lied about their marriage, why would Ruhan go along with this play? It was obvious from his attitude that he didn't want to marry Lisa. Then why didn't he just tell the truth?

Lisa looked straight into her eyes and mocked, "Do you really want to know?"

"Stop dillydallying." Mrs. Ahmed was getting impatient.

"I lied about our elopement and fabricated evidances because I didn't have any Other choice. Your son...forced me to a corner." Lisa spoke in a low voice

"What did he do?" suddenly Mrs. Ahmed had bad premonition in her heart. Just what the hell did her son do to force Lisa take a drastic step like this!!!

Lisa scoffed, "A few month ago I did go to his office for my brother's treatment...that part wasn't fault...but do you know what your son asked in exchange of his favour? "

"What?" Mrs. Ahmed asked.

"My body...he wanted to sleep with me...in exchange of his help. He asked me to choose between my brother's life and my dignity. "

Mrs. Ahmed turned pale and her heart turned cold. She knew that her son was unfaithful and promiscuous...but she always looked down on the girls who knew about his reputation but went after him anyways..like Samia. But she never knew that he had even gone to the extent of blackmailing others.

Just what kind of monster she gave birth to?!!!!

"He didn't stop there, he even used his influence to go after LiCorp just to make sure that I have no other way but to obey him!" Lisa's voice was filled with hatred as she narrated the evildoings of Ruhan.

"LiCorp's sudden bankruptcy was directly related to him. With our combined efforts, the company had begun ro recover slowly. If not for your son, within few years, it would have reached to its former glory.

The company was the result of my parent's hardwork and devotion. It was their pride.

I was their pride. You have no idea how proud they were of me everytime I secured a deal or the profit increased even for a bit!!

The hardwork, the efforts, the time I spent on the company were all wasted... Because of your son.

And now you are telling me to become a good wife and serve the very person who is responsible for ruining my family.

Tell me...Mrs. Ahmed, what would you do if you were in my place?"

Lisa rose from her sitting position...her breathing was hurried and her eyes were red. It was clear that she was trying to suppress her anger.

Mrs. Ahmed was startled to see her sudden outburst. She felt guilty on behalf of her son. At the same time the truth alarmed her.

Mr. Ahmed had already given Ruhan final warning after the scandal with Samia.

If he knew about this too...

Mrs. Ahmed didn't dare to think about the outcome.

No!!! Her pupil constricted. She couldn't let him know about this no matter what!

Although what he did was wrong, she couldn't let Mr. Ahmed disown her son like this.

As for Ruhan's crime, she would use her own methods.

She had to hide the truth no matter what!

Of course Mrs. Ahmed still hadn't realized that her habit of hiding her son's mistakes is exactly the thing that had caused his character to rot to this extent!!!
