Chapter 71 - Unexpected blessing!

"What's happening here?" a voice interrupted the conversation between Lisa and Tuli.

Lisa frowned as she heard the unpleasant voice. She turned towards the source of voice and gave an insincere smile.

"Nothing.  Just discussing some matters with my secretary.

Ruhan glanced at Tuli. She was standing behind Lisa in a docile manner.  When she saw him glancing at her, she automatically made a pitiful face without even her knowing. At this moment, he seemed like her knight in shinning armour.

"It was clearly visible that you were angry and scolding her. Today is a happy event. Can you please not create a scene here?" Ruhan told Lisa in a low voice.

Lisa looked at Ruhan with disdain.  Only an ignorant and playful person like him would call this a happy event. Did he really think that it was just a welcome party?

Nonetheless,  he was right. She should control her temper right now.

She waved at Tuli to leave for now.  Then she shot a hateful glare at Ruhan before leaving.  She didn't like the way he interrupted her.

She hurried away to solve the presenting problem giving Ruhan a chance to talk to Tuli alone.

Ruhan brought Tuli in a comparatively isolated corner and asked her gently,

"What's wrong? Why was she scolding you?"

Hearing his gentle voice, Tuli's face turned dark. She began to complain as if she was greatly wronged at the office.

"She was being totally unreasonable.  She gave be an important pendrive that contained today's presentation. I was supposed to bring it today. But I forgot. So she began to insult me saying that it was a mistake to hire me in the first place."

"How could she do that?!!" Ruhan tried to suppress his laughter as he comforted her. "The presentation is her responsibility.  She should have also reminded you to bring the pendrive. How could she blame you like this!!!"

The reason why Lisa forgot to remind her was because of Ruhan, of course. He had been pestering her continuously at home which made her life really stressful.

Sometimes he would hide her laptop, or turn off room lights. Sometimes he would just try to eat her tofu. Although he was eventually beaten and kicked out of the room, just seeing her flushed in anger made everything worth it.

Ruhan smiled cheekily as he remembered how much he annoyed her before coming to this party. He even locked her inside the washroom.  Poor Lisa barely had any time to dress up before coming to the party.

He was just trying to spoil her mood. He didn't think that his unintentional act would bring this fruit!!!

Tuli didn't realize Ruhan's distraction and began to complain with great enthusiasm, "Right. She should have reminded me too!! I work so hard everyday.  I just made one mistake and she forgot about my hardworks just like that!!!..sob sob."

Of course, just like anyone else, Tuli hid her shortcomings and completely turned around the facts!

Ruhan, who had heard the whole conversation,  was once again amazed at women's ability to turn around any situation for their advantage.

One example was Lisa, who so beautifully framed him and accused him of domestic violence.

Another was Tuli. It was clearly her responsibility to follow her boss' instructions and keep the documents ready. But she made it seem like Lisa was a tyrant boss and was abusing her powers.

Everyone present here knew the importance of today's party. If today Lisa failed to give her presentations and dissatisfied the foreigners, she would be in big trouble.  Other employees and shareholders who were dissatisfied about the fact that Lisa was promoted out of nowhere,  would get a chance to fire her.

So he could understand the pressure she was in.

To be honest...if it had been him, he would have fired the useless secretary who couldn't even do his job properly.

But does that mean he would defend Lisa in front of Tuli?

Of course not!

He was really ecstatic about the situation.  It was like a blessing that came to him even without asking!

He was eager to see how Lisa would solve this serious problem.

She either had to inform Mr. Ahmed about her mistake that she forgot to bring her pendrive and ask for his one. Or she would have to cancel her presentation. Both of the options would discredit her in front of Mr. Ahmed.

How could Ruhan not take advantage of this chance!!!

Moreover, Tuli was clearly annoyed with Lisa. So he would do everything he can to flame her anger..so that she herself would betray her boss.

Ruhan sharpened his weapon, his glib tongue, to use his cinderella against his wife.
