Chapter 420 Last Visit

''Let's see…'' Isaac scanned the first floor and nodded thoughtfully. The floor was relatively large, enough to hold a store with room to spare.

However, he didn't exactly plan to become a shopkeeper. He instead decided to use this place as his headquarters while he lives in the Priesthood.

''Even if I became shopkeeper… What would I sell?'' Isaac thought aloud and trailed his finger on the dusty counter. A thick layer of dust followed him, and his nose slowly clogged up.

''I need to clean this place before thinking about my future…'' Isaac took a piece of fabric from his inventory and covered the lower half of his face.

Then, he dusted off his hands and went to search for a storage room. Soon, he found a door covered in dirt, the same shade as the rest of the brownish walls.

The storage room was filled with a bucket, lantern, a floor brush with handles that had cracked, dusty shelves, and various cleaning liquids.

''Hmm… I need this, this, and this.'' Isaac grabbed the floor scrubbing brush, the bucket, and the lantern.

Then, he left the room while closing the door behind him.

As he placed the lantern on the desk, he pressed the switch on the side and watched a small flame flicker before it started crackling, sending long, steady waves of heat into the room.

Soon, the first floor was bathed in dim light, which was quite useful as the sun was setting. As the streets grew darker, the stores began emitting rays of light.

''Now… Water… Are there any sinks, or showers here, at least?'' Isaac grabbed the bucket and searched the first floor thoroughly. Then, he found another door close to the stairs. When he opened the door, he found a small bathroom with a toilet, a small shower, and a dirty sink.

The sink was stained with some kind of black ink and looked crude.

Isaac positioned his bucket below the shower and turned the switch to the highest setting. The showers started out as dribbles of water that fell slowly, but as the drops built up, it became like heavy rainfall.

Soon, half of the bucket was full, and Isaac turned off the water.

When he returned to the first floor, he placed the bucket on the floor, grabbed the brush, dipped it inside, and began sweeping.

The sky darkened faster and faster as the evening progressed. The orange shade changed to gray, and then it was changed to pure dark.

The only light that emitted from the night sky was the light of the moon and stars that were far away.

On top of that, there were hundreds of different stores and buildings that illuminated the streets with brilliant lights. In addition to that, street lamps were also very useful for lighting up the streets.

Even though it was close to nighttime, the streets were still bustling.

After hours of cleaning, Isaac saw that the dust was mostly gone, the floor still slightly dirty but much better. He stopped cleaning for now and took a rag from his inventory.

He dipped it in the bucket and cleaned the windows in and out.

The windows were difficult to clean, then he went to get those cleaning liquids, and the speed of cleaning increased explosively. Soon, all smudge and dirt were gone.

The windows were shining, with no dirt in sight.

Then, he returned to cleaning the floors with the help of the cleaning liquids, and he also removed the dust from the shelves.

Then, a few hours later, a shimmer of light came from the window.

That surprised Isaac, forcing him to check the clock. It was already 7 A.M, and unknown to him, he had actually cleaned the whole night.

His eyelids didn't feel heavy, his stomach didn't rumble in hunger, and his mind was calm.

''Time flew…'' Isaac said while pressing the switch on the lantern. The fire died off.

Then, he returned all the equipment to the storage room and went to check the second floor.

The second floor's hallways were filled with cracks, dirt, and dust. The wallpaper was slightly peeled off, allowing Isaac to see what the walls were made of.

If the first floor was in bad shape, the second floor was even worse.

But, the second floor was more important to him.

There were three rooms. The first one was a quite large room, Isaac decided to use it as a training space in the future.

Then, the second room was slightly smaller, and Isaac decided to use it as his bedroom and spawn spot.

The third room was the smallest, and it was the size of a cleaning closet.

Isaac opened the room to the second and stepped inside. The room had everything he needed, enough space and room to move. But, there wasn't any piece of equipment.

Except for the broken stool on the first floor, which he had already decided to throw away.

''I need to get my items from Stronglord… But, how should I do it?'' Isaac began pondering. There was slight difficulties with fetching the items.

His spawn spot was in Rainwell currently, and Priesthood's Realm Portals were in a sacred area— going there was forbidden.

That bothered him heavily because he couldn't use them, instead, have to use teleportation pearl. But soon, Isaac figured out what to do.

He decided to add his spawn spot on this current room, then use teleportation pearl to go to his rented room in Stronglord, get all the stuff there, and use their Realm Portals to come back to Priesthood.

Now that he had visited Priesthood, he could use Realm Portals to travel in, and out. Still, Priesthood's Realm Portals were unaccessible.

He needed somehow to find a way to use them.

Isaac quickly marked this room as his spawn spot.

Then, he pulled out the Pearl and said, ''Stronglord, home.''

A bright room enveloped the whole building, causing nearby citizens to squint their eyes as the light reached their eyes.

Then, Isaac's figure had disappeared completely.

''Haahhh…'' Isaac opened his eyes and was standing on top of his soft bed. Without further ado, he picked up all the clothes from the wardrobe, stuffed them inside his inventory, and left the room.

''Training Cube!'' Isaac extended his hand toward the dark blue room, and the color faded away instantly, and a cube-like item emerged out of thin air.

It slowly floated into his hand, and Isaac stored it inside his inventory.

''Now… The hardest part of this journey.'' Isaac gazed at the door and decided to bid farewells to Bella, who had become his close friend in a short time.
