Chapter 52 Dream On!

During the evening, Mu Yuehan was tasked to mop the restaurant. He again did his task without any complaint. Nian Tian entered the restaurant and was impressed with the way he had cleaned everything.

"I am done."

"No, you are not." Nian Tian spoke emotionlessly. She knowingly dropped her cup of coffee on the ground, to increase his task.

Mu Yuehan gave her a teasing smile. "You can mess with me as much as you want, but I am not going to leave you. I am a parasite."

He whistled the song which Nian Tian had played on the first night they had met, to wake him up. Nian Tian rolled her eyes and returned to her kitchen.

During the night, Mu Yuehan helped Nian Tian in closing her restaurant. He happily passed all his tips to her, like a dutiful boyfriend.

"Don't you think I deserve a reward for helping you out today?" Mu Yuehan asked once he was done with closing the restaurant.

"You do." Nian Tian nodded. She opened her bag and retrieved some cash.

"I don't need cash." He looked at her with distraught and placed his hand over the cash. "Say yes to be my girlfriend. It will be the best reward for me. Give me a chance to be with you."

"Dream on." Nian Tian ignored him and made her way toward the beach.

"Don't you think I deserve this much after working so hard today? Aren't you impressed with my dedication?" he looked like a kid who wanted the latest toy car from his parents.

"You didn't do much today to deserve this luxury of becoming my boyfriend. It was not even one per cent of what I wanted from my boyfriend."

Mu Yuehan looked at her with a sour expression on his face. He was tired because of working hard today. She had made him work like a donkey but still…. could she not be a little polite with him?

Mu Yuehan wanted to hold her shoulders and shook her badly. He wanted to yell, 'heartless women. What will it take you to say me a yes?'

Before he could do anything like this, the phone in his pocket rang. It was a call from Zhan Wei. He was inviting him to have a few drinks and he knew, he needed them.

"I am coming." Mu Yuehan looked at Nian Tian and accepted the offer.

Mu Yuehan stomped his feet angrily and left Nian Tian alone on the streets, not caring about her safety.

'It will be better for you to give up on me. I have evilness in my heart. I will not be good for you.' Nian Tian sighed and looked at his vanishing figure.

She was completely unaware of a looming figure in the shadows who was waiting for Mu Yuehan to leave her side for a long time!

"Ha, ha, ha, ha, I must say, I like your first kiss." Zhang Wei chuckled and slammed his glass against the bar counter in excitement. "She rejected you, seriously."

Mu Yuehan looked at Zhan Wei with a dark expression on his face. He was regretting that he had shared today's incident with his friend.

"The man, who was a fantasy of many girls, who rejected so many girls, broken dreams of half of the girl's population on the earth is rejected by a mare girl, how unbelievable!!"

It was the first time that Mu Yuehan received defeat in something and Zhan Wei wanted to celebrate it. For the first time, he got such a chance to tease his best friend and all thanks to Nian Tian.

"The man whom girls pursued was pursuing someone for the first time, the man famous for his charm, the best boyfriend material, the man who had a long line of girls after him is rejected. Ha, Ha, ha."

The laughter of Zhan Wei filled in the small bar of the hotel. All this while, Mu Yuehan was glaring at his friends. He was remembering how Nian Tian rejected him.

"Now what are you planning to do? Will you still chase after her or should I prepare for our return?" Zhan Wei asked with a serious expression, but still, teasing and mocking could be heard in his voice.

"Do you think I will stop pursuing the love of my life because of one rejection? Today was just a start. It was only my first defeat. There are many more days to come." Mu Yuehan placed his glass down and looked at Zhan Wei with a raised brow. "I read girls are hard to woo, my girl is a little harder. I will not sit quietly until she is my girlfriend and then wife."

Zhan Wei shook his head upon seeing the determination in his eyes.

"Any plans? Or any ideas?"

"No," Mu Yuehan shook his head. "Call Jingyan. I am sure she will be able to give me ideas on how to pursue my girl."

Zhan Wei's eyes widened slightly with fear but he immediately composed himself. He spoke, "How will I have the number of your cousin? You should call her by yourself."

Mu Yuehan raised his brows. A teasing smile appeared on his lips. He brought his glass of wine near to his lips. Now was his chance to tease his friends.

"Do you think I don't know you have a crush on my cousin, and you talk with her once a week?"

Zhan Wei's heart skipped a beat. He looked at Mu Yuehan with wide, horror-filled eyes.

How does he know about my feelings? I always ensured to control them, then how the hell this devil knows about them?

'I am gone, I am gone, I am gone, this devil will not leave me now. He loves his cousin so much. He will not let me go alive knowing my feelings for her.'

Zhan Wei nearly slipped from his stool. With a lot of courage, he composed himself. He gulped. "What rubbish are you talking about? I will never dare to have a crush on your cousin, forget about talking."

Zhan Wei was looking all around, except for the face of Mu Yuehan.
