Chapter 84 Mastermind Behind Their Accident

It was the first time Zhan Wei spoke out aloud about how much he loved Jingyan. "She is the sunshine of my life. She is the treasure which I will get after solving the puzzles of my life. I love her deeply. The only bad thing is that I don't know if she loves me back or not."

"I am sure, she too has feelings for you." Mu Yuehan patted his back. He felt moved hearing the deep and true feelings of Zhan Wei.

"I am sure she likes you. How can a girl not like a man like you?" Nian Tian smiled genuinely. "And if not then you can woo her. You can take my help. I will always help you with your love life."

"Thank you."

"You can also take the help of Zhan Wei. He is an expert in wooing a girl." She lovingly looked at Mu Yuehan.

"Actually, he took the advice of Jingyan to pursue you." Zhan Wei spoke in a matter-of-fact tone.

"What?" Shocked, she looked at Mu Yuehan. Mu Yuehan glared at Zhan Wei. "I thought all ideas were yours."

Mu Yuehan turned toward Nian Tian. He looked at her with a puppy face. Zhan Wei muffled his chuckle, seeing his expressions.

"Idea of giving you flowers and gifts, the idea of spending his time with you, helping you with your daily course was all hers."

Mu Yuehan cursed his friend. "Sweetie, what was I to do? It was the first time I was pursuing someone. I didn't want any mistake and that's why I asked Jingyan for her help."

Seeing the disappointment on her face, Mu Yuehan fake yelled, saying his hand was aching. Nian Tian jumped with concern. And just like that, the topic that Mu Yuehan took his cousin's advice was forgotten.

Once Zhan Wei was gone, Mu Yuehan without waiting for a second, kissed Nian Tian hard.

"You….were you dying without kissing me?" Nian Tian slapped his chest gently.

"Yes, I was."

After two days

Marry jumped in surprise when the door of her room was pushed open. It had been two days since she was house arrested by her mother.

Marta was very angry at Marry upon realising that she theft her money and on top of that, she never confessed her crime. Not when Marta gave her a lot of opportunities.

"Zhan Wei, what are you doing here? Are you here to save me? To help me get out of the room?"

Mu Yuehan entered the room and glanced at Marry. His hair was messed up and a plaster was wrapped around his right hand. With powerful steps, he walked toward Marry.

Ignorant of his dark expressions, Marry walked toward him with hope. "I was there in the hospital for you but Nian Tian kicked me out. You know."

She tried to hold the hand of Mu Yuehan but he pushed her back, feeling disgusted. He pulled out a handkerchief from his pocket and cleaned his hand.

He then again looked at Marry. "Why did you try to kill me?" He asked in an emotionless voice. His eyes were murderous.

"What are you talking about?" Marry stuttered in fear.

"What do I mean?" he mocked and then pointed toward his shoulder. "I caught your man and he confessed. Now tell me, why do you want to murder me? Why did you send a hitman to the amusement park after me?"

Marry acted ignorant to what he was saying. "I don't know…."

"Dare of you to lie." He yelled. "Confess. Otherwise, no one will be worse than me. I will ask again, why do you want to kill me?"

Marry flinched at the hardness in his voice and coldness in his eyes. Tears appeared in her eyes.

"I don't want to kill you, okay." She yelled from the ground. "I like you. I like you very much. How can I plan your murder? I wanted to kill Nian Tian but she is lucky. She got saved. Instead, you got shot by the bullet made for her."

She spat with hate. Fire burnt in the eyes of Mu Yuehan when he heard her. He clenched his fists.

"I hate her so much. I wanted to kill her. I was successful in my plan if not for you." She looked up at him. "So many times, I tried to kill her but you saved her all the times, first by feeding her berries, then pushing her out of the yacht, poisoning her wine in the party and not once, but you saved her all the times."

Mu Yuehan started to laugh humourlessly when he heard her. "So stupid. Do you think you can kill my girl?"

"Your girl," Marry yelled. "What is so special about her? Why is she your girl but not me? Why?"

"You want to know what's so special about her?" Mu Yuehan leaned toward her. "She is not evil like you. She may do many bad deeds but she will never kill another person. She has a heart in her chest, after all, unlike you."

"And for your kind information miss, the hitman killed himself without saying your name. You gave away yourself."

Marry gasped in shock. She looked at him with wide eyes. "Your confession was enough for the proofs."

"You, You, you…you cheat. You lied to me." Marry started to thrash her hands around angrily.

"Yes, I lied. So, what? Can you do something about it?"

Marry looked at him with pale expressions but then a hopeful light appeared in her eyes. "You can't do anything to me. I have a backing."

"Backing?" Mu Yuehan smirked. "Are you talking about Mister Parker, the one who died in my hands?"

"How…how…I?" Marry stuttered in shock, feeling all her hopes gone. Terror filled her heart. Cold sweat appeared on her forehead. Her breathing turned heavy.

"He and all his men are gone. The last man left was your hitman. No one is left to save you now. You are fated to die."

"No, it's not possible. This is not possible. I don't want to die." Marry fell on the feet of Mu Yuehan. "Forgive me, please. I didn't do anything on my own will. It was Mister Parker, he brainwashed me. He asked me to kill Nian Tian."

"Have you taken me as a fool?" Mu Yuehan hollered. He pushed her away. His aura was turning dark. He then called for Marta.

"Marta, you have listened to her and have recorded her confession. Now I will leave the proof and Marry in your hands. Police will be here anytime. It's up to you if you want to turn her in or not. I am leaving her only because TianTian treats you as her mother. Otherwise, she'd have died a brutal death in my hands."

Marta was standing outside all this while. She was also recording the confession of her daughter. She was shocked when Mu Yuehan put forth his doubts that she was after the life of Nian Tian.

She was heartbroken when she heard the confession from the mouth of Marry. She failed to believe her daughter could be so vicious as to kill someone in her jealousy.

"Mom, please save me. I promise I will change. I will change for good." Marry sobbed and hugged the knees of her mother.

Marta looked at Mu Yuehan with a conflicted expression on her face. He had left the fate of Marry in her hands. Now it was up to her to get justice for Nian Tian.
