Chapter 135 Send Her To The Mental Asylum

One hour back

Back in the hospital, after the nurse had drugged Zhou Liying, Zhou Liying was feeling quite light-headed but she was not afraid at all. She knew, whoever planned to harm her would not be able to do anything to her.

Zhou Liying looked around the bed and her eyes caught a stool. With the energy left in her, she tried to kick on the stool. She was unable to kick it in the first few attempts because of her haziness but then she pushed it. The stool fell to the ground, creating a loud bang.

"What's happening in here?" Mu Yuehan entered the room and looked at Zhou Liying with wide eyes.

She was about to fall from the bed. He rushed toward her and saved her on time. Zhou Liying vaguely threw her arms around him. Her breathing was harsh.

Mu Yuehan wrapped his arms around her, securing her in his arms. His heart was beating fast upon looking at her condition.

Worse scenarios were running in the mind of Zhou Liying. Her nightmares were making her numb. She was falling back into the darkness. So, when she heard the voice of Mu Yuehan, she found her ray of hope, a ray of light.

When he wounded his arms around her and pulled her close, she felt secure and safe. She threw her arms unconsciously around him, to give herself some mental relief.

"What did you do to her?" he yelled and glared at the nurse.

The nurse looked at him with wide eyes. She did not think that help for Zhou Liying would come in such a short period. She tried to leave when shadow guards of Zhou Liying also entered the room.

"Tell me, what did you do to her?" one of her guards asked and kicked the nurse hard. He pulled hard on the hair of Nurse. His aura was dangerous. The nurse was of no comparison to him.

"I drugged her, for some money. I was informed that she is alone. No one will be coming to help her." The nurse spoke fearfully.

"Who gave you money?"

"I don't know. A man wearing a mask approached me. Please let me go. Please." She begged. Tears fell from her eyes.

In the evening, someone had asked her about Qin Yanze and Qin Tian. She was the regular nurse of Qin Yanze so she knew who Qin Tian was.

She was offered an amount of money if she succeeded in drugging her. She felt so lucky when the doctor asked her to ask someone from the family to get blood and the donor turned out to be Qin Tian.

Mu Yuehan felt a twitch in his heart when he heard the nurse. He looked down at Zhou Liying and lovingly removed sweat from her forehead.

His heart ached when he saw the pain on her face. She was trying so hard to keep her eyes open, to stand straight, but she was leaning all over him.

He should not have left her alone when she entered to give her blood. He should have stayed by her side. That way, he'd have saved her from the pain that she was feeling right now.

It was his fault! He failed to protect her, knowing well that she had enemies!

"Is there any antidote?" Mu Yuehan asked.

"No…"

"Dare you to lie to me." His voice hollered. "The man holding you can kill you this instant. Now tell me, is there an antidote?"

The nurse nodded her head and pointed toward the table which held the antidote for the drug. After a minute, one of the expert guards checked the antidote and injected it into Zhou Liying.

"This antidote will take time to show its effect. It's better if we take Miss to some hotel or her apartment."

Mu Yuehan nodded. He was about to carry Zhou Liying in his arms when she stopped her. She clutched tight on him. "Wait."

Zhou Liying decided to follow the plan of the person who was after her. She wanted to catch that person and she knew the only way was to act.

When the men with masks entered the room, the nurse was already informed what to do. When the men left with Zhou Liying, shadow guards and Mu Yuehan followed after them.

"What did you do with that nurse?" Zhou Liying asked one of her guards.

"She is thrown into jail for taking money and drugging someone. She is blacklisted. Her career is over." She nodded her head in satisfaction.

"You must be thirsty." Mu Yuehan offered her a bottle of water. He looked at her with concern. "How are you feeling now?"

"Good, the antidote worked." She replied and opened the water bottle. She gulped down its content within one sip, feeling much better.

"Do you need more?" Mu Yuehan offered her another bottle of water and she accepted it. She opened it and emptied its content over her face. She took deep breaths and closed her eyes.

She threw away the bottle and opened her eyes. "Let's go to the hospital. I have wasted much of my time without any use."

"Do you need my support?" Mu Yuehan offered because of his worry for her.

"Do you think I am weak?" Zhou Liying glared at him. "This is not the first time that I am drugged. My body is quite adaptive to it. Let's go."

Mu Yuehan inwardly chided when he saw her. She was so stubborn. She was weak because of the effect of the drug but she wanted to act all mighty and high. He tried to offer her his arm but she pushed it away.

Zhou Liying was independent all her life and today, she didn't wish to depend on Mu Yuehan. Thou, she wished to lean on him. When in the hospital, he had held her, she knew she was safe and secured.

After such a long time, she wished to be dependent on someone and that someone was Mu Yuehan!

Zhou Liying left for the hospital in the care of Mu Yuehan.

There was a thought running in her mind, she got saved and had an early escape only because Lu Chunhua treated her as Qin Tian, who had no power after her, but what if an enemy came after her well aware of her identity?

She could not let her guards down, especially when she was here in Shanghai.

"Miss, you must be hungry. We should visit the restaurant first." Mu Yuehan interrupted her thoughts.

Much against her protestation, Mu Yuehan took her to the restaurant. He knew she must be hungry. They had missed dinner because of her dirty swimming pool idea.

"I am not hungry. Take me to the hospital." Zhou Liying glared at him.

"I am not taking you to the hospital until and unless you have something. I don't want to see you in the next room to your grandpa." Mu Yuehan looked at her with a pained expression.

"Don't forget I am your boss. You need to obey my orders." She used her boss card on him, forgetting that he never listened to her orders.

"Don't forget, I am your guard and as your guard, I must look after you which includes, looking after your meal." Mu Yuehan declared. "Now stop being stubborn and get off the car, the quicker we enter the restaurant and you have your food, the quicker we will leave for the hospital."

Zhou Liying scowled and stepped out of the car.

Again, the same question ran into her mind, 'why was she not able to dominate Mu Yuehan like her other employees?'
