The Existence of the Hero and the Demon Lord

How did this happen?

I had carefully chosen my choice of words and concealed my true information in order to avoid any embarrassment, but…

I had no idea that I would step on a minefield of strange names.

“Wait…wait, what do you mean by Demon Lord…?”

“I thought you were a nobleman, but you’re not! Look! You’re all black! Your clothes are black, your shoes are black, your hair is black! And if you look closely, even your eyes are black! It’s just like from the story!”

“No, wait… but yeah, he is indeed black all over, are you really…”

Mei-chan and Zink-kun were getting excited regardless of what I said.

Potta-kun was left out, but I didn’t have time to worry about that now.

What the hell is this? Demon Lord? …Are there Demon Lords in this world? No, wait, there might be. After all, this is a fantasy world with demons, magic, and skills.

It is not strange at all for a Demon Lord to exist. Do they as the last boss? Does that mean that I was called to this world for this reason?

No way…to play the role of Hero to defeat Demon Lord…? Did Acorn Head give me such a big role? But I have no sense of justice. So, why? A hero is a just a righteous person, right?

A guy who thinks with his gut like me is not a Hero. But Acorn Head did say that he found me. Does that mean that somehow I got caught up in something and became a Hero without a sense of justice? 

However, I surely asked if there were any cheat abilities, specifically Hero skills for that matter. And yet, Acorn Head didn’t give it to me. What is the meaning of this? 

Can I beat this Demon Lord without skills? No, no, if that’s the case, why don’t they just let the people of this world take care of it instead of going to the trouble of transferring someone from another world? I don’t understand? Is there a Demon Lord that can’t be defeated even with a Hero skill? Is that Demon Lord Loki? 

Oh, I see, was that the reason why? Dropping me off in the forest, without giving me anything, may have been a difficulty test. Well, thinking about it, if I can’t survive even something as simple as that, I won’t be able to defeat a Demon Lord.

Was that really the reason! That would make sense! Then the reason I came to this world is…

“Where is that all black Demon Lord?”

“”Right in front of us.””

“The Hero has already defeated him.” Zink

“…What?” Loki (Yuto)

So, I was not the Hero after all! What are you going to do about my wasted enthusiasm… it’s turned into air…!

“Haven’t you ever heard of the story of the Demon Lord’s defeat?” Mei

“Where in the world is Loki from? Even in a small town like Bezart, there are at least five theatrical groups and bards that would play it in their visit…” Zink

“I don’t know anything about that…” Loki (Yuto)

“It’s the story of Hero Takuya defeating the Demon Lord, you know! And it’s like you’re doing an impersonation of Demon Lord Loki! Well, the Demon Lord was quite famous after all!” Mei

“I haven’t seen them recently, but there were a few people in all black in the town of Bezart before.” Zink
