Chapter 43 Meeting The Four-Years-Old Lynn
Standing at the sky above, Alister looked down below and gazed at a well-built modern house. Sitting cross-legged in the air, Alister pressed his hand on his chin and rested his elbow on his leg.
When Alister was waiting in the sky, he saw that the door on the well-built modern house revealed two tall figures and one small one.
The two tall figures were a man and woman who looked to be in their thirties. On the other hand, the small figure was a cute 4-year-old child who had long golden hair and crimson red eyes.
Alister dared say that this cute child would undoubtedly become a beauty when she grew up. After all, he had tasted her in the future.
Wait! This sounded like he was a lolicon!
Ahem!
'Hmm... It should be justifiable for me to love a 4-year-old girl if she is my future wife. After all, even my body is currently at 4-years-old. As for mentality, I can recover Lynn's memories with the Remember Me talent and let her mentality return to the same as in the previous timelines.'
A four-year-old boy with ebony black hair and crimson red eyes, Alister Wright, gazed at the 4-year-old girl, his future wife. The 4-year-old girl was undoubtedly Lynn Conway, Alister's future zombie wife.
With his great control over his air manipulation, Alister could even swim in the air as if it were water or stand in the air as if it were solid. And to prevent himself from being seen by other passersby or the satellite, he used an advanced technique of air manipulation which had granted him invisibility, known as aerokinetic invisibility.
It worked by manipulating air densities to refract EM radiation such as light.
And even if someone did see him, it's not like he couldn't erase their memories with mind control.
Speaking of mind control, Alister started controlling the mind of a speeding truck, invading the mind of the truck driver.
When Lynn's parents stepped on the street, the truck immediately slammed into their bodies, causing it to catapult across the street along with the truck. Mangled flesh and broken bones sprinkled on the streets with pools of blood dying the road red.
The scent of rusted iron perforated the streets and the four-year-old Lynn who saw all of this froze in fear. She didn't know how to register the scene that happened in front of her.
She couldn't even cry. The emotions overwhelmed her. She even doubted if she was having a nightmare.
However, before she could lose hope, Lynn saw a boy the same age as hers walk towards her, with a sweet smile on his face.
"Yo! Lynn, what you doing?"
Despite the boy's voice and tone sounding all too familiar to her, Lynn could swear she had never met or seen this boy before. But she could somehow feel a sense of security from him as if he was the one who could solve her problems.
Walking towards Lynn, Alister noticed the turmoil in Lynn's emotions.
'I had planned to tease and even scare the child version of Lynn. But meh! I might have gone too far if I did it, even if I can fix it up by letting her remember the memories she had in the past timeline.'
After deciding not to tease Lynn this time especially when he did such a thing as indirectly killing her parents, Alister activated his Remember Me (Blue) talent to Lynn.
Afterward, Alister noticed that Lynn was in a daze, followed by her crimson-red eyes becoming firm and resolute compared to her previous sense of despair and fear.
"Thank you, Alister."
Lynn's childish face gazed at Alister and thanked him.
Instead of hating him for killing her parents, Lynn didn't hate Alister but thanked him.
A sweet smile full of gratitude was shown on Lynn's face, contrary to the bloody scene that painted the street red.
Lynn who had recovered her memories, was indifferent to the bloody scene that she had witnessed. Even if those mangled flesh of corpses were from her parents, she had already held a grudge against her parents so she didn't have much familial emotions towards them.
"If you didn't kill them, even I am not confident I can do it by myself. Even if I recover my power, I can't do it."
Lynn admitted her incompetence while letting out a sigh, sitting on the road just in front of her house's gate.
Alister followed suit and sat beside Lynn.
Two four-year-old children with the mentality of an 18-year-old were sitting on the streets covered in mangled corpses and blood. What an unusual sight to behold!
Fortunately, Alister had used his mind control to ward off any people within his mental perception range.
As Alister and Lynn spent time with each other, Lynn finally asked Alister, "Didn't you say you can only go back in time to the day of the apocalypse? How can you arrive this early?"
Listening to Lynn's question, Alister vaguely answered, "It's a man's secret. It doesn't matter much, as I can use my ability to let you recover your memories."
Hearing Alister's answer, Lynn didn't question it anymore but posed another question, "Have you defeated the mastermind of the zombie virus? Or did you... fail?"
When Alister heard Lynn's concern, he assured her, "Don't worry, Lynn. I didn't waste your sacrifice and have won the battle against him. Otherwise, why do you think I am as carefree as I am right now?"
Lynn was assured by Alister's words. After all, she knew that Alister wasn't the type of person who would lie to her.
It was either he would only vaguely answer her question or answer her truthfully.
"Alister, have you defeated the mastermind in this timeline?"
"No, I haven't yet. I am still locating the mastermind's base since his base in the previous timeline wasn't present in this timeline. But for now, I am currently controlling the minds of the government and those rich billionaires to dominate this world."
Receiving Alister's answer, Lynn rested her head on his shoulder and remembered something. "What about Alice? Have you finally made up your mind to save her?"
"I..."
