Chapter 258 Homing Magic Missile Enchantment
After a week of traveling, Alister and Zanna's royal carriage had already left the territory of the Lyathas Kingdom. n--o(-v-(e-/l--b()1/(n
They were now outside the mountain range which acted as a border between the Lyathas Kingdom and Vogrum Kingdom. The mountain range was known as the "Deadly Flame Mountain Range".
The mountain range was infamous for being inhabited by earth-type and fire-type monsters. There was even an active volcano in the Deadly Flame Mountain Range and it's not only one volcano but several.
For a dwarf to cross the Deadly Flame Mountain Range just to steal some resources in the Lyathas Kingdom's forests, one could already know how desperate they were. Even if they did manage to steal some resources in the Lyathas Kingdom, dwarves without any storage-type artifacts would have to do all of those efforts for nothing.
After all, the resources in the Lyathas Kingdom were mostly plant-type natural resources. Some relatively tough wood from the Lyathas Kingdom might have certain levels of immunity towards the deadly flames and hot temperature in the Deadly Flame Mountain Range, but natural resources such as sap and fruits would without a doubt be scorched and burned to ashes.
Even if that didn't happen, the hot temperature and deadly flames in the mountain range would lower the quality of the resources stolen from the Lyathas Kingdom.
Due to how difficult it was to go back and forth between the Vogrum Kingdom and the Lyathas Kingdom, only desperate dwarves with storage-type artifacts would dare to steal from the Lyathas Kingdom.
Those rich dwarves wouldn't stoop that low and could easily trade honestly with the elves rather than steal their resources. Only the minority of dwarves would resort to stealing from the Lyathas Kingdom and because of that, there was only a minor conflict between the Vogrum Kingdom and Lyathas Kingdom. It wasn't to the extent that they would have a huge war.
Alister knew that with how the powerhouses in each race already knew of the heroes' rebellion, they wouldn't dare to start a war as that would be a stupid decision.
Even the top 10 powerhouses in the world recognized the strength of the heroes and even if they worked together to fight against the heroes, the chances of the heroes winning would be a lot higher.
Of course, that was assuming they didn't use any hero-slaying artifacts because if they did, the native powerhouses of Fantasia would have a higher chance of winning against the heroes.
After Alister and Zanna arrived at the Deadly Flame Mountain Range, they could already perceive the monsters in the Deadly Flame Mountain Range.
It was worth noting that the strongest monster in the Deadly Flame Mountain Range was only at Monster Overlord and it was only one Monster Overlord.
From what Alister could detect, the Monster Overlord in the Deadly Flame Mountain Range was currently in a state of slumber and it would likely not awaken unless someone trespassed in its territory and disturbed its sleep.
Because of that, those who would pass in the Deadly Flame Mountain Range would only have to worry about the 10th-tier monsters who also had their territories and even had subordinates.
A 10th-tier monster was comparable to a Transcendent Saint in the Transcendent World. And from what Alister could perceive, there were a total of six 10th-tier monsters in the Deadly Flame Mountain Range.
In other words, the monsters in the Deadly Flame Mountain Range alone were powerful enough to dominate the Transcendent World.
From what Alister had known about the Monster World, the Monster World that invaded the Transcendent World was only slightly stronger than the entire Deadly Flame Mountain Range.
Of course, Alister knew how powerful he was. Even if it was his first simulation and he was transmigrated into the Deadly Flame Mountain Range instead of the Sea Of Chaos, he was still confident that he could defeat the Monster Overlord and the 10th-tier monsters in the Deadly Flame Mountain Range.
Since the royal carriage was currently being driven in the air, Alister could see some monsters flying in the sky, blocking his path.
They didn't seem to leave the Deadly Flame Mountain Range even if those monsters saw Alister and the royal carriage. Alister could guess that it was not that they feared him or the wind agile horse, but those monsters were territorial.
They were the type of monsters who would rather get themselves killed just to defend their territory. Of course, there were those monsters who were the minority that would rather save their life than their territory.
Alister knew that these flying monsters blocking his path weren't the minority who feared the strong but they were the majority who were obsessed with defending their territory.
If it was other warriors or mages, they would rather travel on the ground rather than fight all of these powerful flying monsters. However, Alister couldn't care less about them since the strongest among the flying monsters was only 10th-tier.
Among the six 10th-tier monsters in the Deadly Flame Mountain Range, there were two 10th-tier monsters who reigned over the sky.
Not minding the flying monsters, Alister flicked the reins and the wind agile horse started galloping in the air. Entering the Deadly Flame Mountain Range, the royal carriage drove past the flying monsters.
Noticing the incoming flying monsters, Alister decided to test the power of the royal carriage.
"Activate the homing magic missile enchantment."
Using voice activation command, one of the magic enchantments engraved on the royal carriage lit up.
Afterward, countless magic circles covered every direction of the royal carriage. The magic circles formed a sphere-like formation that enveloped the royal carriage.
With all of that happening in under milliseconds, the magic circles lit up. It released volleys of magic missiles and targeted the flying monsters within its attack range.
The magic missiles flew at an astonishing speed. In the blink of an eye, the magic missiles shot the flying monsters, causing a miniature yet powerful explosion that obliterated those flying monsters into nothingness.
"A bunch of annoying flies."
