**Lady Sophia's Few Days in Hell**—
While the search to find the Apostle who had been blessed with the powers of Demon Lord Raum, Lady Sophia found herself stuck in a different kind of hell with the same kind of fury.
Every time she would wake up and get to her make up, she would feel a sharp chill in her bones.
And as she would pick up a parasol to walk the ticklish feeling away, she always found the same person at the door.
"Oh? Is that you, Lady Sophia?"
"L-lord Eugene, what a coincidence this early in the morning…"
"I was just going out to LIFT. Why don't you come join me too?"
"L-lift?"
"Yes. Let us LIFT together. LIFT."
The first time it happened, she was in equal parts unamused as she was curious. She let the cat-killing half of her take the reins and went with him to the training grounds the first time around.
She followed Eugene Hall to the training halls of the Hall family. Where he carried along two boulders in his hands.
Sophia's jaw dropped open.
"W-w-what…?"
"This? Oh it's lighter than it looks. They don't have good enough weights so we'll have to improvise."
Eugene said with a bright smile.
Not good enough weights. Lighter than it looks. Those words were enough to sent jolts of understanding in her mind.
Indeed. Yes.
It must be light and hollow from the inside. No way any normal person would be able to pick up a boulder like that without using any mana or ki and just laugh it off. Especially not when they were of that size and age.
"Here," Eugene said, tossing the boulder over to her.
Sophia used the signature psychokinesis of the Mirxa family just in case as she pushed the boulder away from her and placed her hand to catch it—
"OOOF!" Searᴄh the Nôvel(F)ire.nёt website on Google to access chapters of novels early and in the highest quality.
Her hands were almost crushed under the weight of the boulders.
"Are you alright?"
Eugene asked, not seeing her grit teeth and gnawed eyes behind the giant boulder as she risked her life to keep it up.
This little fuck. She wanted to bite into him right now and tear him apart for tricking her, but her life was already at risk just holding the damned boulder.
"H-he… he…"
"Oh? You can laugh with that much?"
She was calling for help!!
Eugene tossed the second boulder on top of the first one and she went even lower to the ground. Sophia had not cursed someone that much in her heart ever before. She would use her mouth to put it in words too, but she felt if she strained any other muscle right now it would tear apart.
"Haha, I guess that is a little too much right now."
Eugene grabbed both the boulders as if stealing candy from a child and juggled them in his hands.
"You need to up you LIFT game, Lady Sophia."
"Haah… haah… I guess I am a little lethargic today, Lord Eugene…"
Saying those words, Sophia turned away and ran back to her room.
Since then, she trained her psychokinesis like a madman.

The day after the first of their suspects were dealt with, Eugene Hall returned to the Dienin Castle in a gloomy mood. The very air around him screamed gloom.
Deep into the night when the sun had gone past setting and had started to sleep well, Eugene Hall made his way to the fourth floor of the castle, into the piano room prepared by the Lord of Hall especially for him.
A note rang.
All the servants moving on their way to sleep and the ones on night shift stopped in their tracks and heard the music with their eyes wide open.
And before they could realize, a beautiful rendition of the Swan Lake started flowing out of the windows of the fourth floor, enriching every corner of the mansion.
The people smiled and held their hearts. The grief and sorrow and the joy hidden in the piece were carried over to them in the most splendid way possible.
All the people on their way to sleep were forced awake from the sounds. The ones that were asleep already also pushed their eyes open and their minds up to listen to the music that they would never get the chance to listen to again.
Even the children of Hall, the wives and the Marquis himself sat up and heard the music.
And soon.
It came to an end.
Sighs of relief and admiration left the servants. The longing carried in the music had touched their souls. And now, it was over.
But the longing wasn't gone yet. It remained and lingered in the air.
"Beautiful…"
"I am happy I wasn't sleeping."
"Really? I am happy I woke up."
"When can we ever hear such a performance again?"
As if waiting for that cue, the notes rang again and the music started to play all over again.
The people in the palace smiled at the second round.
It was pretty good the first time around, and they did all just say they wanted to hear it again once.
Sure, maybe hearing it again right away did make it lose some sort of novelty, but it wouldn't hurt that much.
The second round ended.
"Haha, it was still beauty…"
"It was worth losing a little sleep over."
"When can we ever hear such a performance again?"
—Ding.
And it started a third time.
The awkward smiles turned into slightly shocked gasps.
"S-still good…"
"When can we ever hear such a performance again?"
"This fucker!!"
—Ding.
After all, Eugene was practicing a session for another day.
The servants did not get to sleep well into the night that day. The one who mentioned the performance over and over was tied up and tossed into the ponds of the mansion, but the curse didn't end.
The servants were in a very bad mood the next day.
Eugene Hall practiced with a sound-proofing spell from the next day.
