Chapter 41: The Fairy Couple and Their Little Bodyguard

Chapter 41

Sheng Mumu looked out the window all the way.

"The scenery of Shen City and Jing City is so different. There is still snow this season."

Qi Mo's gaze also fell outside the window: "Well, you can see snow all year round here. This is also why I chose to build the resort here."

"Right, right."

Sheng Mumu was just about to praise Qi Mo for his good eye for investment, when she suddenly heard the cold voice of sarcasm from Qi Shaobai:

"You look like a Southerner who has never seen snow."

Sheng Mumu glanced at him and was too lazy to respond.

After the car entered the resort and drove for a long time, passing the ordinary guest room area, it stopped in front of a villa.

This villa was obviously larger than the nearby standalone villas, but still not as spacious as the villas in Xiyu Yue Ting.

But it had a nice open view. You could see the snow-capped mountains in the distance, and the scenery was pleasant.

The air was filled with the fresh scent of snow wrapped around grass and trees, lingering around the nose, and it smelled very good.

The managers of the various departments of the resort knew Qi Mo was coming and were already waiting outside the villa. When they got off, the managers respectfully greeted:

"Mr. Qi."

"Madam."

Qi Mo nodded slightly in response.

Sheng Mumu smiled brightly and greeted, "Hello everyone."

Qi Shaobai looked left and right.

What about me?

Don't I deserve a name?

As if she could read his mind, Sheng Mumu poked his arm with her elbow and whispered:

"You're just a little brat brought along by your parents for vacation."

Qi Shaobai: "......"

When Qi Mo turned his head, he saw Sheng Mumu with laughter in her eyes and Qi Shaobai at a loss for words.

The sharp line of his jaw lifted in a pleasant arc, and his mood was like the snow-capped peaks in the distance, open and refreshing.

He exchanged a few simple words with his subordinates, then let everyone leave.

The villa was built against the mountain and had two floors. The decor was somewhere between simple and luxurious, appearing solemn without being tacky.

"It's decorated so nicely. It must cost a lot to stay here for one night, right?" Sheng Mumu asked while looking around the interior of the villa.

As Qi Mo took off his black coat and hung it on the hanger, he said lightly: "This villa is not open to tourists."

Sheng Mumu stared wide-eyed and looked around warily: "Why? Was the new decoration not fully rid of formaldehyde?"

Qi Mo smiled. His hand that was loosening his tie stopped, and he looked at her meaningfully, as if thinking her imagination was too wild.

Qi Shaobai, remembering that he had just been speechless under Sheng Mumu's retort, cheekily interrupted:

"You're so dumb. This villa is specially reserved for us to stay when we come on vacation. Understand?"

At the entrance of the super long icy slide, the line snaked long.

In the middle of the line, three extremely good-looking people attracted particular attention.

A gust of cold wind blew by. Sheng Mumu shrank her neck in and wrapped her scarf tighter.

In the snowscape, her face was glowing white, with two blotches of pink on her cheeks. Her petite pert nose had been blown red by the cold wind, looking pitiful and cute.

In the cold wind, Qi Mo's posture was still tall and upright like a pine tree, his cold and aloof temperament blending seamlessly into the snowy sky.

Beneath his heroic brows, his ink-black eyes were deep and profound, reflecting specks of icy and snowy light. He was like a star hanging in the sky, and also like a clear yet fathomless sea.

In the queue, some craned their necks to get a better look, whispering:

"Are they celebrities? So pleasing to the eye."

"What an immortal couple, so gorgeous."

"They must be celebrity sweethearts. I want to go over for an autograph and photo."

"Don't, don't. Their sidekick looks fierce and not to be messed with."

Qi Shaobai, who was mistaken for a bodyguard, eyed the long line ahead and his expression darkened.

He already had an unruly and aloof look. His eyes were cold and piercing.

Dressed in a full black down jacket today, concealing his slender youthful figure, he looked more sturdy than usual.

With a charcoal gray cold cap on his head and hands in pockets, he looked even more like a young newly-recruited bodyguard.

Twenty minutes later, it was finally their turn to queue.

There were a total of eight slides, all made entirely from ice. Looking down from above, you couldn't see the end.

The staff adjusted the position of the small sled, guiding Sheng Mumu to sit on it.

She glanced left and right, and saw Qi Shaobai was already seated, legs stretched straight and poised, with rare youthful excitement surfacing in his eyes.

On the other side, Qi Mo did not immediately sit on the sled, but stopped in front of the safety instruction sign, brows slightly furrowed.

Shortly after, he crouched down behind Sheng Mumu.

The cold wind carried his magnetic deep voice to her ear:

"Don't put your hands outside the sled. Be careful."

Sheng Mumu slowly turned her head, her gaze colliding with the man's. She paused for a moment: "...Okay."

After speaking, the man stood up and walked towards the slide beside them.

Seeing this, Qi Shaobai's lips pressed into a straight line.

Feeling that his father didn't pay attention to him, his heart inexplicably soured. He looked away and nonchalantly let his gaze fall elsewhere.

"You too."

Suddenly, a low and curt voice rang out.

Passing by Qi Shaobai, Qi Mo casually reminded him.

Qi Shaobai whipped his head around in surprise. After a pause, the thorns in the boy's eyes seemed to melt away. He nodded heavily.

"Got it!"
