Chapter 1301 Disappeared From The sight ”Mr. Wen Zac, are you willing to take Ms. Ming Lan as your lawfully wedded wife, to have and to hold, from this day onward, for better or for worse, for richer or for poorer, in sickness and in health, to love and cherish until death do you part?”
”I do!”
”Ms. Ming Lan, are you willing to take Mr. Wen Zac as your lawfully wedded wife, to have and to hold, from this day onward, for better or for worse, for richer or for poorer, in sickness and in health, to love and cherish until death do you part?”
”I do!”
Later they exchanged the ring and heard the Priest, “I announce you as a husband and wife. You may kiss the bride.”
Though it was inevitable in the wedding, Ming Lan felt her heart picking up the pace with the thought of getting kissed and that too in front of everyone with the man she never thought she would ever get married with.
Wen Zac leaned closer as his face neared towards her. He could feel her haggard breathing and her nervousness though she tried to maintain that light smile on her lips. Wen Zac only kissed her at the corner of her lips. To others, it looked like he pecked on her lips and then moved back as the two heard the loud sound of clapping.
Not like Ming Lan minded it but it made her feel that Ming Rusheng literally meant this marriage as just a marriage of convenience and she was sure there won’t be any love between the two. Should she feel relieved as this is what she wanted or should she feel sad about what kind of married life she would have- without a feeling of love for each other.
Wen Zac didn’t know what was going on in her mind as he stared into her puzzled eyes. ‘Does she not want me to do this even? It’s our wedding. Not for us, but to show others, I had to. Not like I touched her lips.’
The two were directed to sit on the beautiful couch arranged for the bride and the groom at the center of the stage, surrounded by the beautiful decoration. There were different ceremonies during the banquet as everyone wished the groom and bride and it was the time for most of them to interact with the families.
A young girl approached Lu Lijun who he had recognized and talked to her when she approached to talk to her. Xiao Min was with Jiang Yuyan and he whispered to her, “Boss, the Han family is also invited.”
”I can see that,” Jiang Yuyan replied as it was the only normal thing to invite other business families.
”I mean, the boss should look at four O’clock,” Xiao Min said.
Jiang Yuyna turned her head to the right and saw Lu Lijun talking to the young girl who was the daughter of the Han family, “Tell him to stay away from her as we don’t need any news tomorrow in the paper.”
”I can but we know he won’t listen,” Xiao Min said.
”Warning is our job,” she countered. “He still doesn’t know what importance he holds and what he can encounter if he is careless.”
Xiao Min obeyed and went to Lu Lijun.
”Excuse me, fourth young master. Can I have you for a minute,” Xiao Min said and looked at the pretty-looking young girl with a slight nod. She didn’t mind if Xiao Min had interrupted their conversation.
Noah who was there, diverted the girl’s attention, “So Ms. Han,” You have studied in Russia.”
”Yes,” she nodded with a light smile and the two continued the conversation.
Till then Xiao Min took Lu Lijun a little away and passed on Jiang Yuyan’s message to him.
”Your boss can’t stop controlling my life, isn’t it?” Lu Lijun asked.
”It’s not….”
”Seems like your boss got time away from Mr. Alex to pay some attention to me,” Lu Lijun interrupted him, “Go and ask her what right she is controlling me with. If the answer is right, I will listen to everything she says,” Lu Lijun said and returned to Noah and Ms. Han.
Xiao Min sighed as he looked at Lu Lijun’s retreating back and mumbled, “I am getting a bad feeling about this guy now.”
Xiao Min returned to Jiang Yuyan where he told her what he said. She sighed and instructed, “Keep an eye on him.”
Xiao Min agreed but soon they were surrounded by so many important people from the business circle where along with Jiang Yuyan they talked to Xiao Min as well because he was an assistant of President Lu herself and was no less important than others.
After a while, when Jiang Yuyan and Xiao Min were finally free, Jiang Yuyan gave a sigh of relief. Though she didn’t like it, there was no way to avoid all these important people.
Jiang Yuyan looked in the direction where Lu Lijun was a while ago but he was nowhere to be seen. “Where is he?” Jiang Yuyan asked.
Xiao Min looked at where his boss was looking and said, “He must be around here. I will check.”
Xiao Min went to Noah who was talking to An Tian, “Noah, where is Lu Lijun?”
”Ms. Han spilled juice on her dress. It happened to be Lijun’s mistake so he went with her.”
It made Xiao Min panic, “Where..where did he go?”
”I think towards the lounge section,” Noah answered.
”Is there any issue?” An Tian asked and Noah waited for Xiao Min to answer.
”Nothing,” Xiao Min answered and left in a hurry.
”What’s wrong?” Noah asked.
”Don’t worry. When president Lu is there, she will handle it even if there is anything wrong.”
”But….”
”No, but…let’s have a drink with me,” An Tian said and Noah could not say to him. Though he was worried for Lu Lijun, when An Tian didn’t show concern that means everything should be fine.
”Boss, he is gone with that girl. I asked San Zemin to check where they are gone.”
Jiang Yuyan looked calm though she was worried inside, “Ask him to make it faster.”
Soon San Zemin came to them while he was communicating with his men on the phone. “Boss, we found them.”
”Take me there,” Jiang Yuyan said. As they stepped out of the crowded hall and entered the empty corridor towards the lounge section, San Zemin handed her over the mobile which had a recording from the security cameras of the hotel in which Lu Lijun was going with a girl in this same way. There didn’t look like any tension but the two were walking calmly.
In between, they stopped and Lu Lijun talked to the lady attendant from the hotel. She directed them somewhere and the two left.
”How much time passed by?” Jiang Yuyan asked while walking.
”More than half-hour?” San Zemin replied.
Jiang Yuyan sighed as she could not believe those people took her half-hour while discussing useless things with her.
”Hurry up,” she said as the three walked or maybe ran as fast as they could. They reached the door of one for the suite where Lu Lijun had gone with that girl. Jiang Yuyan held her breath and was praying nothing bad had happend. Knowing the Han family and their tactics, she already didn’t expect anything good.
