"We are fine like this," Lu Feng countered.
"Fine, then I will remove this cardigan," Lu Lian was about to untie that knot of her dress but before that, both her brothers took their T-shirts off.
She giggled, "That's like my good brothers and clicked their pictures. She joined them and they clicked lots of selfies.
"Did you two see what a great deed you are doing?" she asked but the other two didn't understand.
"You two are blessings for the eyes of those girls. Those lucky girls."
"Our sister is up to social work," Lu Feng said as she looked at his younger brother who was equally surprised at their sister's antiques.
"Yeah, she won't even mind selling us for her social work to please the womankind"
"Next time, we should better bring Ming Rusheng and sell him instead."
"No way, he is only for me. No one but I can put eyes on that handsome me."
"And what about our women who might think the same as you?" Lu Feng asked.
"Well, as long as they are not here," she said casually.
"Our hypocrite sister," Lu Lijun commented.
"When my brothers can be hypocrites then why can I not?" she said happily. "These pictures will be on display soon."
"You can not…."
Before they could stop her, she walked away only to bump into a group of girls. "Hey, would you like to play beach volleyball with us?" the girls asked her.
"Sure," Lu Lian agreed, knowing the intentions of the girls.
"Those two guys, are they with you," one of the girls asked.
Lu Lian nodded, "Hmm, do you want them to join us?" she asked, knowing the obvious.
"Yes, why not," the girls exclaimed.
An evil smile painted on Lu Lian's lips and she went to her brothers, "Brother, join us for beach volleyball. She said excitedly," It will be fun."
They didn't say no as long as it made their sister happy. The group of girls was happy hearing it.
As the game started, Lu Lian played for a while and started taking pictures. In between the break, she went to the girls and whispered something to them. They agreed with what Lu Lian said.
Lu Lian was happy, "I will treat you all to the drinks."
The break was over and the game started again. 'My dear brothers, take it as a punishment for troubling my man. I love you two but I love him as well. I hope a little bit of trouble will only spice up your lives.'
The game was over and Lu Lian treated those girls to the drink while the two brothers rested on sun loungers, keeping the one empty between the two.
Lu Lian returned to them and was just a little away, a tall and handsome British guy came to her, "Hey, I saw you playing beach volleyball. You play really well."
He looked like a nice guy and the way he talked sounded nice.
"Thank you," she said and heard him again, "Did you come alone here or…."
"She is with me," They heard the voice and the guy looked at Lu Lijun who said it.
"And with me too," Lu Feng joined in.
The guy looked at her with an awkward smile as he could sense the hostility in the two men's eyes. "Those two?"
Lu Lian nodded as she suppressed her playful smile and asked, "Do you want to be the third one?"
Before the guy could answer, they heard Lu Feng, "Lu Han won't like it, Lain."
Lu Lian looked at him with an apologetic gaze, "Ohh, right. There is a third one as well," she smiled at him, "would you want to be the fourth one?"
That guy cleared his throat awkwardly, "Well, I am fine. You enjoy," and left.
Lu Lian laughed and went to her brothers, "He lost the opportunity of being adopted as a son in the Lu family. What a bad loss."
She lay down on the sun lounger that was between her brothers'. A resort staff came with three exotic drinks and gave them to them.
The sky was turned in the shade of orange and yellow as the sun was about to set. The beach turned quiet as there were the sounds of only wind and sea waves hitting the shore.
"Finally, it's quiet," Lu Lian said as she sipped the drink while the other two nodded enjoying their drinks.
As they enjoyed the quiet beach, in a while Lu Lian asked, "Was it Rusheng who told both of you about my secret box of wishes that was meant for brother Qiang?"
The two looked at her and heard her, "I am glad that he did. Once again I got this special day when I could act like a spoiled brat and my brother would do anything I ask for."
"He truly loves you," Lu Feng said.
"I am glad that my elder sister has a good man in her life," Lu Lijun said.
"I know but you two don't miss the chance to trouble him," she said looking at both on her either side.
"That will never stop," the two said together.
Lu Lian sighed, "Fine."
"I always knew this deal between you and Lu Qiang but I am sorry that once he was gone, I forgot about it," Lu Feng said.
"I knew it too, elder sister. But I also forgot. I am sorry," Lu Lijun said as both brothers looked at her.
"This one we owe to Ming Rusheng," Lu Feng said looking at Lu Lijun to which he agreed, "We will repay him."
"We are giving him our sister. He is already fortunate enough," Lu Feng said and looked at Lu Lian, "Once again we two apologize."
"It's fine. Today you two had made up for all those years and I am happy," she replied, smiling pleasantly.
Lu Feng reached his hand out to pat her head. "On your every birthday, we will fulfil your wishes then whatever it is," Lu Lijun said while Lu Feng agreed to it. "We Promise."
"Thank you."
She looked at the sun that was about to hide behind the seawater. "I wonder if brother Qiang was here with us, how happy he would have been. When I was taking both of your pictures, though he is not here, I could imagine him with us. Laughing and looking at me and making sure I was fine. I could clearly picture him with us. That always so bright smile and assuring eyes that made me feel he was always with me, I could see them. I wished I could touch him, talk to him but I could not."
Tears rolled down her eyes. "I wish…I wish he was still with us."
Not just her but both of their eyes turned moist too and they looked the other way to hide it.
There was silence for a long time, as no one talked. The mention of Lu Qiang's name was enough to make their heart turn heavy and they could only wish only if he was with them and that wish was never going to be fulfilled. The reality of life was harsh.
