They all went to the gazebo, "We believe, we are not disturbing anything here," An Tian commented as he looked at the two who were holding each other in the embrace.

"No use in asking when you have already done it," Ming Rusheng replied/

Lu Lian slapped Ming Rusheng's hand gently to stop him and looked at An Tian and others, "Of Course not, brother Tian. I am happy that we all are together."

"See, my sister is so mature," Lu Feng commented, "Unlike someone."

"I don't wish to be matured as long as I can keep her for myself only," Ming Rusheng countered.

When this banter didn't stop only at this and was going on for long, Lu Lijun and Jiang Yuyan were quiet and were standing behind everyone. He held her hand gently to which Jiang Yuyan felt surprised and looked at him.

He entwined their fingers and looked at her only to lean closer and whisper, "I missed you."

She gulped and stayed frozen in her place as she didn't know how to react to it when everyone was there. Just a small action from him but was enough to make her heart skip a bit.

Lu Lijun didn't stop at just this and whispered back again, "Didn't you miss me?"

It was just half a day he was away, why should she miss him. 'Did I miss him?' she asked herself and then looked at him. He looked back at her as if waiting to hear from her.

Before she could say, they heard Jiang Yang after they finished their banters, "Let's cut the cake. Come closer."

Jiang Yuyan immediately pulled her hand back and freed it from his hold as she moved away and joined others.

Lu Lijun only looked at her, 'Running away from me again, huh?' and joined others.

Lu Lian blew off the candles and cut the cake as everyone sang a birthday song. This time her brothers didn't meddle in between her and Ming Rusheng. She fed the cake to him first and he did the same.

"So when can we expect a grand wedding?" Noah asked.

"Soon," Ming Rusheng answered.

"You can take your time. We are not in a hurry," Lu Han said as he didn't wish to let go of his sister anytime soon.

We have waited enough," Ming Rusheng said, looking determined to take her away so soon. These brothers had annoyed him enough now it was his turn.

The end of the day was satisfactory and the birthday girl was happier than ever. Everyone was in the garden talking and having fun though it was past twelve am.

"So, are you coming to my room tonight?" Lu Lian asked Ming Rusheng in a low voice.

"I can but you will be the one to kick me out when you see your brothers," he replied.

"Don't worry, I have a solution for my stubborn brothers," she whispered and got her phone.

It surprised Ming Rusheng and she held her phone in front of him while swiping the pictures. "This is enough to keep them busy."

Ming Rusheng only smiled, "Do whatever you like. It's rare to see you so naughty like a little girl."

Lu Lian did something and everyone's cellphone rang as they received messages except for Lu Feng, Lu Han and Lu Lijun.

Others checked their mobile while the three Lu brothers looked at them to know what happened suddenly that everyone was checking their mobile and even gave them a suspicious look. Lu Lijun looked at Jiang Yuyan who didn't look happy seeing something in her mobile.

"What happened?" he asked her but she didn't reply and instead turned off her cellphone. She stood up, "I am sleepy. You all can have fun," and left.

It puzzled Lu Lijun but just then heard Jiang Yang, "You guys seem to have a lot of fun, huh?" and looked at the Lu brothers.

"All shirtless and all that skinship with those girls," An Tian spoke.

"What are you talking about?" Lu Feng asked.

Jiang Yang passed his mobile to Lu Feng who saw those pictures which were taken from the wrong angle and showed they were being close to those girls. He passed the mobile to Lu Lijun who was equally shocked.

Both looked at Lu Lian who stood up immediately, "I am tired and sleepy." Before they could say anything, she stepped away and before stepping down the gazebo, she spoke, "Brother Feng, those pictures have reached city S as well." And left in a hurry while Ming Rusheng followed her after he said good night to others.

'Is this the reason she left? Is she angry?' Lu Lijun thought and stood up as he left without saying anything to anyone.

Lu Feng stood up as well and left as he grabbed his mobile to make a call.

"Seems like these two are going to have a sleepless night," Lu Han said as he looked at his brothers who left in haste.

"Brother Han, I think you are in trouble as well," Noah said.

"I was not there when these were playing beach volleyball with those girls," he countered.

"But I see there is a pic where you are shirtless and talking to one girl nicely smiling and she is smiling at you as well as if you two were having a good time talking," An Tian said.

"You guys can't prank me," he said but Jake, who was sitting next to him, showed his mobile screen to Lu Han.

It was the truth. There was such a picture and Lu Han said, "This…This girl needed help finding a way to the washroom and I was just….."

"That you need to explain to your wife," Jiang Yang said.

"Did she send pictures to her as well?" Lu Han asked.

"Knowing, sister Lian, I am sure she did," Noah said to which others nodded.

Lu Han stood up and pulled out his cellphone and left.

The others laughed. "I am sure Lu Lian didn't send any picture to his wife. She is pregnant but it's nice to mess up with Lu Han," Jiang Yang said as he looked at the retreating back of the panicked man.

Jake stood up and got the wine bottle kept on the table.

"Are you drinking…." An Tian asked.

"Can't let this bottle be left like this. It needs a deserved respect," Jake said and opened the bottle as he drank directly from it and went to stand by the gazebo railing.

He looked outside as if he had nothing to do with whatever was happening around him and he was a mere spectator who would forget it the next moment. He was lost, lost in own world that no one knew what he was thinking.

An Tian stood up and looked at Noah, "Bring him back when he is done."

Noah nodded and An Tian and Jiang Yang left as they knew it was better to leave them alone. Noah continued sitting quietly in the chair while looking at Jake who was standing with his back facing him.

After a long silence, Noah spoke, "Are you done?"

Jake shook his head, "You can leave. No need to wait for me."

Noah stood up and went to him as he stood next to him and looked ahead where Jake was looking blankly. "Why are you in a hurry to send me away?"

"Don't you always want to run away from me?" Jake asked.

"Never," Noah answered.

Jake looked at him and Noah changed his tone, "Rather it occurs to me that even if I try to run away, you never let me. But this time you want to maintain distance between us."

"Is it wrong if I am doing something that you always wanted?" Jake countered and looked away.

"This started from that day when we met our old classmates. Are you trying to run away from answering what you are hiding if I ask something by chance," Noah asked.

"I have nothing to hide. You should not believe those assholes who say nothing but lie. It's just another attempt to disturb our friendship," Jake answered.

"First, you don't need to be scared of me thinking I will ask you anything that you don't want me to know," Noah said.

Jake, who was busy drinking, felt relieved hearing it but didn't show on his face. But it didn't last long as Noah said further, "I have my ways to know everything, without asking you."

Jake's hand froze but he didn't look at Noah. He collected himself and said, "Do whatever you want. No need to give me an update on what you do or plan to do. It doesn't concern me."

Noah observed him for a moment calmly only to see him turn at him and glare. But he said nothing and turned to leave after keeping that empty bottle on the table with force.

Thud!

Noah stared at his friend who was leaving and mumbled, "I am sure now he will try everything to silence them and that's why left in a hurry. But I am no more simple as before. I will find my answers and that day I will know what you are hiding from me."
