In Jiang Yuyan's office.
"Boss, it's about to be announced," Xiao Min informed.
Jiang Yuyan looked at the time. "Check it and tell me what it is."
Seeing his boss acting against what she wanted, Xiao Min picked up the laptop from the center table in front of the couch and took it to Jiang Yuyan's work table.
Xiao Min put it on her work table. "Boss can see herself," he said and stood on the one side of the table, a bit away from his boss so he could see the screen too.
Jiang Yuyan glared at Xiao Min, who stood next to her table. This man loved to ignore her orders most of the time, and she could do nothing but frown inside. "Why don't you sit in my chair instead?"
Xiao Min looked at his boss and talked politely. "I find this place more comfortable."
"So stubborn!" She mumbled.
"Learning from my boss," he countered, and before she could say anything, he spoke again. "Ah! Boss, it started," and he focussed on the screen.
Jiang Yuyan, who was busy with her work, finally looked at the screen and stopped working.
"This year's winner is Lu Corporation," the announcer announced, and there was a loud sound of clapping inside the venue hall. The people in front of the screen, too, could feel the intensity of that proudful noise.
Jiang Yuyan's eyes brightened up, and she was almost about to jump in her chair but controlled. The light, pleasant, and prideful smile on her lips that she couldn't hide.
"We won," Xiao Min exclaimed in happiness.
"I can see," she said coldly. "You are acting like you are the one who did it all."
The happy smile on Xiao Min's face disappeared.
"I am happy for Lu corporation and for my boss."
"Neither did I do anything to get it? You should be happy for the one who did it," she countered and focussed on her work.
"I am happy for my boss because the fourth young master didn't disappoint her," said Xiao Min.
He knew how much Jiang Yuyan had done for Lu Lijun and how much she cared for him without him knowing anything. Her life's goal was to see him successful and in his brother's place, and he was doing it. There was nothing that could make his boss happier though she never showed it.
Jiang Yuyan ignored him and spoke. "Set my appointment with Mr. Wen."
"Boss, are you sure...?"
"Do as I say," she instructed coldly.
Nodding Xiao Min left.

Lu Jinhai was happy about his son's success, and soon he started to get calls from his friends in the business circle.
After some time, it received a call from Mr. Wen.
"Are you happy with my son now?" Lu Jinhai asked as he smiled widely.
Mr. Wen laughed a little. "He broke my long lost dream of seeing you in trouble once I sold the Lu Corporation's stocks."
"You can do it now, too," Lu Jinhai said teasingly.
"I can't, when your son believes I won't betray you," Mr. Wen replied.
"Just like me, my son is smart enough to know people."
"Well, I'll give those appreciation points to you."
The two friends continued to talk for a while. Lu Jinhai had no time to breathe with the sudden flood of calls.
The entire Lu Corporations celebrated this biggest win. To date, the employees who doubted Lu Lijun's capability after he lost two projects had started to praise him again over this unbelievable win and couldn't help but trust him with the future of Lu Corporation.

Lu Lijun went to meet Liwei at the airport. He got the details of her flight timing and reached there on time. He called her, but she didn't receive it. He searched for her at the airport and suddenly got a message from someone.
--------
"Why are you not receiving his calls?" Wen Zac asked.
"I don't know what to talk to him about," Liwei replied.
"He must have something to say to you."
"We talked enough on the day of engagement. Now there is no need for more."
"Are you still angry with him?"
"A little," she replied and asked, "Can't I be angry even?"
"Of course you can, and you should. And I think it's a good opportunity to take your anger out on him. It's not good to keep it inside."
"Do you want me to take my anger out on him?" she asked.
"Yes. And If you want, I can even beat him for you," said Wen Zac.
"Liwei!"
They heard the familiar voice and looked at the man standing a bit away, catching his breath as if he ran to come to them.
"Do you want me to beat him?" Wen Zac asked as he acted all serious.
Liwei didn't reply as she was shocked to see Lu Lijun there.
"Today is a big day for him, so we can pass it. At least he made up for our parent's friendship," said Wen Zac, and she nodded subconsciously.
Lu Lijun stepped towards her and stood in front of her, not knowing how to start a conversation.
"I'll get something for you to drink." Wen Zac left as he knew the two needed time alone to talk to each other.
"You are leaving?" Lu Lijun said, looking at her and the big bag beside her.
She nodded lightly, looking at him awkwardly, not knowing what to talk about.
"I am sorry," Lu Lijun spoke. "I know I was wrong and how much I apologize, it won't be enough."
"Then don't apologize," she said coldly.
Lu Lijun was ready to hear anything she would say to him as his mind was filled with guilt towards the innocent girl.
"I don't know what to do to make up for it...I…."
"You don't need to do anything for me. I am fine now," she said.
"You can scold me and say anything you want that can make you feel better," he offered.
Liwei sighed, "I won't say I am not angry, but I also know getting angry at you won't help me in any way. I'll try to forget it as a bad dream, and you too do the same."
Other than an apology and feeling thankful towards her understanding, Lu Lijun had nothing to say.
"Thank you."
"You don't need to. I hope for what you did all this; you will get it."
Lu Lijun understood the meaning and nodded lightly. "We can be friends…."
"We can't," she interrupted him. "I don't think we can be friends. If we do, somewhere, I'll still hope for you to come to me. You might not feel anything for me, but I did...I liked you for real... By pretending to be your friend, I don't want to deceive myself. It's...it's more like degrading myself."
Liwei was honest with what she felt, and Lu Lijun could have only respect for her.
"I understand," he spoke.
"But one day in the future, we might be," she added, as her face turned calmer.
"I'll wait for that day," he replied.
After a brief moment of silence, the tense atmosphere around them seems to be vanishing slowly.
Liwei looked at the guilty man and informed, "I am going to the same university as you."
"Ohh!" It was a happy surprise for Lu Lijun. "That's really good."
She frowned a little. "Wherever I go, it seems like something related to you is there to stick with me, not to let forget about you," she said.
Lu Lijun smiled, not knowing what to say about it. "All the best," he said.
"Thank you," she replied calmly. "Congratulations on getting the project."
Lu Lijun thanked her, and Wen Zac returned. He passed the water bottle to Lu Lijun. "You seem tired."
"Someone was not answering my call, so I had to run across the entire airport," Lu Lijun replied as he received the water bottle.
"See the audacity to blame me," Liwei mumbled.
The two men smiled, and Wen Zac spoke again. "It's time."
Liwei nodded and hugged her brother. She looked at Lu Lijun. "If you come to England by chance, don't even think about seeing me."
"I'll try not to, but I can't guarantee," Lu Lijun replied as the teasing smile painted on his lips seeing the fake angry act of the girl.
Liwei didn't argue and left to check in while the two men waited till she disappeared from their sight.
"She is not angry at you," Wen Zac said as the two turned to leave.
"I know. She just needs some time," Lu Lijun added. "By the way, thank you for the earlier message."
"Don't mention it. I didn't want my sister to leave without saying some mean words to you. If she wanted, I was even ready to beat you," Wen Zac smiled a little.
"Looks like she saved me from her elder brother," Lu Lijun commented.
"You were fortunate that my sister has a kind heart."
"She does," Lu Lijun agreed.
"I won't ask why did you do it, but I hope there is a good reason for that," said Wen Zac.
"There is someone I like but it was late till I realized," Lu Lijun replied.
"That's good enough reason then. I can only wish you good luck."
The two finally left. Lu Lijun felt relieved to be able to talk to Liwei before she left and was sure she would be fine. He felt like the big burden in his c.h.e.s.t had been lifted.
