Lu Lijun took Jake to his home and stayed with him. Jake was drunk, and Noah was not home, so he didn't want to leave him alone. Setting Jake in his bed, Lu Lijun went to the living room and rested on the sofa. He knew sleep wouldn't come to him, so he continued staring at the ceiling, not forcing himself to sleep.
He remembered his earlier talk with Jiang Yuyan about having kids with her and then her expressions that he couldn't understand what she was thinking. Those bright-looking eyes suddenly lost that shine and turned blank. In a normal case, she would have scolded him or asked him not to say it ever or something else, but her reaction was something different. If she was hurt because of the baby she lost, she would have looked hurt, but it was not the case even. Why was she like that? he kept thinking the entire night but couldn't get an answer.
The next morning when Lu Lijun woke up after a short nap like sleep, he heard the sound of the door unlocking.
He looked at the door, and finally, Noah appeared in the home. It was early morning, and sun rays were yet to touch the home's inside, but Lu Lijun could see Noah clearly in the dim light.
Noah saw Lu Lijun too and came to him as Lu Lijun sat on the sofa.
"I didn't know you were here," said Noah.
Lu Lijun looked at Noah but said nothing as he was upset with Noah. Somewhere he understood Noah's reasons but couldn't help from feeling disappointed in him.
Lu Lijun stood up, "I am leaving."
"You can stay here. We can have breakfast together."
"I will prefer to have it with my wife, "Lu Lijun said coldly as he ran his fingers through his hair to settle his messy hair.
The way Lu Lijun talked, Noah could guess he was upset. "Did something happen?"
"You should ask it yourself," Lu Lijun said and strode towards the door. He stopped to wear his shoes and said again, "Jake was drunk. Take care of him."
Noah just nodded lightly, and Lu Lijun left. Noah looked at Jake's room door for a while and finally decided to check on him. When Noah entered Jake's room, Jake was in a deep sleep. He stood by the bedside and observed Jake's face, which had lost that shine during the past few days.
'You should get on the right track before it's too late, Jake. There is no way I would walk on the same path like before. Don't make me hurt you because it hurts me even more. I hope you will understand it,' Noah said in his mind as he fixed the misplaced quilt on Jake.

When Lu Lijun returned home, the day in the mansion had just started, and no one was out of their rooms as it was Sunday. Lu Lijun went to the second floor and straightway went to Jiang Yuyan's room.
He knocked on the door and heard the voice, "Come in." The voice made him feel relaxed. She was here and had not gone anywhere.
Lu Lijun opened the door and entered the room where Jiang Yuyan had just woken up and sat while resting back at the headrest of the bed with her eyes closed as her forehead had frown lines. It looked like she didn't sleep properly and had a headache.
"Pass me the water, butler uncle," she said, not knowing someone else had entered the room.
Lu Lijun went to the coffee table to fetch water for her and went to her, "Here."
Jiang Yuyan opened her eyes and looked at the man in wrinkled clothes and messy hair.
"What are you doing here?" she asked, not accepting the water from him.
Lu Lijun sat at the edge of the bed and held her hand to put glass in it. "Have it first."
She accepted it, had sips of water, and waited for him to say why he was there.
"I couldn't return home last night," Lu Lijun informed.
"No need to tell me. You can do whatever you want," she said and continued to drink the water.
"I thought you must have waited for me. You seem not to sleep properly," he said.
"I couldn't sleep, but it has nothing to do with you," she said calmly, but there was a tinge of annoyance in it.
'Why would he think I couldn't sleep because of him? I have my own reasons.'
"What was the reason, then," he asked calmly, knowing something must have troubled her for sure.
"It's nothing," she answered.
Lu Lijun knew she wouldn't tell, so he stood up from the bed and went toward the door. It surprised Jiang Yuyan that he was leaving without troubling her. Well, she couldn't be happier than this. She didn't have to deal with him early in the morning.
Just as she thought it, the happy bubble she felt burst the next moment as she heard the sound.

Lu Lijun had put another lock on the door, and now it would be opened only from inside.
She looked at him in shock, and he returned to her bed.
"Why did you lock it?" she asked.
"You might not like someone to see us sleeping together if they entered the room. But I don't mind; if you want, I can unlock it."
Lu Lijun got on the bed, and she was about to get out of it as she put the water glass on the bedside table and held the quilt to take it off from her, but Lu Lijun was faster and held her hand.
"It's not time to sleep," she said and tried to pull her hand back.
"Doesn't matter the time as long as you are by my side," he said and pulled her towards him to lay in the bed next to him.
He could see the anger on her face, but he didn't mind.
"Lu Lijun…." She gritted her teeth and tried to push him away.
"I didn't sleep the entire night. I want to sleep," he said and closed his eyes, holding her closer like his sleeping pillow.
"But I don't want to sleep," she said, struggling to break free.
"Choose whether you would like to sleep quietly for an hour more or want to be with me like this the entire day?"
Jiang Yuyan understood what he meant and stopped struggling as she decided to wait for an hour to pass by. Anyways it was early morning, so one would come to her room for at least an hour. If she wouldn't let him sleep for an hour, she was sure this guy would definitely cling to her for an entire day. There was no stopping to his foolish acts.
Lu Lijun looked at her, who stared quietly at the ceiling while letting him hug her.
"Close your eyes, or I will think you are waiting for me to do something before you sleep,"
His soft whisper, full of warning, worked on her, and she immediately closed her eyes. Lu Lijun smiled and closed his eyes too as he slept, holding her in his embrace.
After an hour, Jiang Yuyan woke up. She couldn't believe she literally slept when he forced her to. She looked on her side, but Lu Lijun was not there. She looked around and realized he was gone.
She sat in the bed and touched her forehead as something moist she felt on it. There was a headache reliever white patch on her forehead. "No wonder my headache is gone," she mumbled. 'Did he put it on my forehead?' she thought.
He forced her to sleep because he knew she couldn't sleep the entire night and had a headache. He wanted her to sleep more, and forcing her was the only way.
Jiang Yuyan didn't know what to think or feel about it. That annoying and stubborn guy always did something to surprise her.. So unexpected that he always did the opposite of what she thought he would do.
