After Jiang Yuyan left, Lu Lijun got ready to go downstairs and face his upset grandpa.
Lu Lijun went downstairs and asked the butler, "Is grandpa awake?"
"Old Master is in the Garden," the butler replied.
Elder Lu had a habit of taking a stroll early in the morning in the garden and enjoyed his peaceful time in a fresh breeze of cold air.
Lu Lijun reached outside the mansion and saw his grandpa walking without wearing warm clothes though the air was cold. Lu Lijun instructed the servant who was present outside, "Get me a shawl for Grandpa."
The servant nodded and Lu Lijun went to his grandpa who was strolling.
"Good morning Grandpa," Lu Lijun greeted.
Elder didn't reply and continued to walk.. Lu Lijun followed him, "I am sorry, grandpa."
Elder Lu still didn't reply. It was rare for Elder Lu to act like this to not give in to his family members so easily.
Lu Lijun understood his grandpa was really upset and he needed to put more effort.
"Grandpa, I will try not to do it again. This time I just couldn't return home. I am sorry for not listening to you."
Elder Lu stopped and turned to look at him. "I will forgive only if you tell me the truth."
"Truth?" Lu Lijun asked.
Elder Lu nodded, "Hmm, the reason for staying away from home."
It startled Lu Lijun. How could he explain the truth to his Grandpa? He might tell him the reason was Yuyan and what he felt for her but Yuyan might not like it if he told this to Grandpa or anyone else.
"Grandpa, I am afraid I can't tell you," Lu Lijun said hesitantly.
"Then tell me one thing. Is it related to a woman?" Grandpa asked, looking into his eyes.
"Hmm!" Lu Lijun nodded lightly.
"Do you like her?" Grandpa asked.
"Hmm."
Elder Lu stared at him for a while and Lu Lijun felt nervous under his gaze. He was afraid the next question might be- Who is that woman?
Elder Lu laughed and said, "Finally!" and gave out a sigh of relief.
It surprised Lu Lijun and Elder Lu spoke, "I was scared that my grandson was celibate and won't even look at anyone but here you made me happy telling you like someone. What more this grandpa would want."
Lu Lijun felt speechless and heard his grandpa, "How much success you get and or even if you are at the top of the world, we always need one companion who would be with us. That love and care for each other can make us forget the worst pain we go through."
Lu Lijun could say nothing. Though what grandpa said was right, all he knew was that he loved Jiang Yuyan more than anything and couldn't imagine his life without her.
"Understood?" Elder Lu asked.
"Yes, Grandpa."
"You won't tell me who she is right?" Elder Lu asked.
"When the time comes, I will."
"Hmm," Elder Lu agreed.
Just then the servant came with a shawl and Lu Lijun took it from him. He put it on elder Lu and said, "It's cold grandpa. You should wear warm clothes."
Elder Lu smiled, "Before Lu Qiang and Lu Feng were the ones to nag me and now got one more nagger in my life."
"Because we care for Grandpa."
Elder Lu had that pleasant smile and said, "I know."

After breakfast, Lu Bao asked Lu Lian, "Didn't you have a date last night?"
"It was canceled," Lu Lian replied.
"Why?"
"Mr. Wen's grandma was admitted to the hospital so he couldn't make it," Lu Lian replied.
"How is she?"
"It was nothing serious. She is fine now."
"So? No date now?"
"Tomorrow evening as he is accompanying his grandma," Lu Lian informed.
Lu Bao sighed, "So the date is still there?"
"Hmm, why?"
"I mean it's good. Faster the better. I can't see my sister single for long when I am having a baby despite being younger."
"It has nothing to do with you having a baby. If you ask me, I would never want to marry."
"Even if there is someone you like and wants to marry you."
"The kind of man I would like doesn't exist here. Now only left is to find a good man and marry him so your family won't nag you for a lifetime."
"You know you sound so depressed like you have no interest in anything. You should just go to the Himalayas and spend your life alone in meditation."
"I was thinking the same."
Lu Bao sighed. "No use of saying anything to you."
----
Ming Mansion.
"Where are you going this early. Today is off day?" Elder Ming asked Ming Yusheng.
"Father, Old lady Wen is admitted to the hospital. So I need to go see her," Ming Yusheng replied.
Ming Rusheng who came there heard it and asked, "Wen Zac's Grandmother?"
Ming Yusheng nodded.
"He didn't inform me," Ming Rusheng said as he pulled out his cell phone and dialed Wen Zac's number.
Ming Rusheng knew Wen Zac loved his grandma and must be worried for her. The call didn't go through and Ming Rusheng spoke, "I will come with you father."
"Many people are not allowed. You can visit in the next visiting hours," Ming Yusheng instructed and he agreed.
Once Ming Yusheng left, Ming Lan who heard the half conversation, asked her brother, "Is grandma Wen not well?"
"Hmm."
"I will come to see her too. I haven't met her for so long." Saying she sat on the couch.
"Only if you stop going here and there. The last time when I met her, she was asking about you," MIng Rusheng informed.
Just then the two heard a deep sigh from the person sitting opposite to them on the sofa.
"What happened grandpa?" Ming Lan asked, "Are you not feeling well?"
"I am feeling absolutely well that's the problem," Elder Ming replied.
"What do you mean grandpa?" Ming Lan asked and Ming Rusheng almost rolled his eyes as he knew what his grandfather would say.
He looked at his sister and mumbled, "Now you deal with it on your own."
Ming Lan understood and before her brother could stand up to leave, she held his hand. "We should listen to grandpa's problems together, Brother Rusheng."
"Let him go. He doesn't care for me anyway," Elder Ming said as he looked sad.
Ming Rusheng sat quietly, only to hear his grandpa say, "Why am I not hospitalized so I can at least force you two to get married but this body of mine is unnecessarily strong."
"Grandpa's acting is getting better day by day," Ming Rusheng commented.
Elder Ming raised his voice, "My frustration, is this acting for you. Do you know how much I am dying to see my grandkids before I die for real?"
Ming Rusheng was about to argue back but heard his mother, "Grandpa is right and you don't dare argue with him about it." she warned Ming Rsuehng.
"Only your mother can understand me," Elder Ming said and stood up to leave.
Ming Rusheng and Ming Lan didn't know what to do while their mother followed the old man.
After a short silence, Ming Lan spoke, "That's why Lian's date was canceled yesterday.
Ming Rusueng heard it but didn't react while Ming Lan continued, "From what Grandpa said something came to my mind."
"What?"
"What if Grandma Wen asked her grandson to marry someone before she died? Given how close brother Zac is to his grandma, I am sure he will try to fulfill her wish."
Miang Rusheng felt tense hearing it and Ming Lan's next words added more to it, "But brother Zac don't have to worry. I am sure Lian will say yes to marry him and it won't be difficult for him."
Ming Rusheng sat quietly, not knowing what to say.
"Brother is taking me out for the dinner. I hope you didn't forget it."
"Tonight,' Ming Rusheng replied.
"How about tomorrow. Tonight I am going to meet my old school friends."
"Fine," agreeing, Ming Rusheng stood up and left.
Ming Lan messaged Lu Bao.
Ming Lan: Are you sure that they are going on a date tomorrow evening?
Lu Bao: Lian just told me.
Ming Lan: Fine then.
Lu Bao: I am sad that I can't be there.
Ming Lan: Don't worry, I will update you.
