Chapter 1001: No Matter What Happens, Don’t Ever Leave Me
Lu Yan laughed. “Now let’s see if I dare or not.”
...
Two hours later.
Lu Yan brought An’an out from the bathroom, gently placing her down on the bed.
An’an’s hair was dripping wet and her skin was fair while her face was flushed a vibrant red. She was just like a creature that came out from the waters to seduce men, taking away their souls.
Her lashes fluttered while she felt sore everywhere. Ever since she had gotten together with Lu Yan, she could no longer get down the bed the next day.
Now how was she going to be able to look at the kitchen in the same way again?
How was she going to stand in the kitchen and cook normally again?
This man was devious deep down to his bones!
An’an was thinking about it when Lu Yan suddenly walked over, the corner of the bed sinking in. He held a hair dryer in his hand. “Turn over, I’ll blow dry your hair.”
Women shouldn’t ever sleep with wet hair, they would get headaches when in their old age.
An’an turned around indignantly, leaving only her back view to him.
Lu Yan blew her wet hair with the hair dryer as he lowered his eyes to look at her. She pouted her lips, seemingly a little angry yet coquettish at the same time. It made him excited again. “I haven’t pleasured you enough just now?”
“...”
How dare he even say those words?
Grr, An’an didn’t bother with him.
Lu Yan raked his fingers through her hair. Her hair was just like her, being incredibly soft and smelled so good. What a maidenly scent.
“You’re ignoring me?”
An’an still didn’t speak.
“You’re really ignoring me?” Lu Yan asked again.
An’an still didn’t respond.
“Fine, I’ll leave then.” Her hair was all dried and Lu Yan unplugged the hair dryer, getting up to leave.
He was leaving? Just like that?
An’an quickly turned, tugging on his sleeve. “Where are you going?”
Lu Yan lowered his eyes to look in her eyes. “I’m going to wash the dishes.”
“Don’t wash it, just leave it to tomorrow.”
Lu Yan raised his brows playfully, throwing the hair dryer aside as he towered above her. “That’s what I thought too.”
“Is this Gu An’an? Miss Gu, the General suddenly fainted this morning at 5am. We have sent the General to the hospital for gastric lavage, the doctor has given a diagnosis. The General had suffered from poisoning and he’s currently in the ICU, still unconscious. According to our investigations, the General had dinner around 8pm yesterday night at your place. We have reasonable evidence to believe that you were the one who put poison in the General’s meal. Now we’re going to arrest you, please cooperate with us.”
An’an’s face was drained of all color. What? The General had been poisoned and was unconscious?
What was going on?
The General was fine just yesterday night.
An’an truly liked and admired the General from the bottom of her heart. Now that she heard news of him being sick, tears welled up in her eyes.
How had this happened?
...
In the police station.
An’an was handcuffed and the officers wouldn’t stop questioning her.
“I’ve already made myself clear. I did not poison the General, you can go ahead and investigate the truth. But now, could you please let me meet the General, I want to see him,” An’an said.
She heard some clicking sounds of a woman’s heels. Someone had come.
An’an lifted her eyes to see, it was Qianqian.
Qianqian wore a red trench coat as she walked over proudly. The Police Chief followed behind her.
“Elder Miss.” All the officers bowed respectfully once Qianqian appeared.
Qianqian stopped in front of An’an, her gaze cold and piercing. “Gu An’an, do you know the consequence of harming the General?”
An’an looked at Qianqian. “I didn’t harm him.”
“You’re still not admitting it even at this stage?”
Qianqian lifted her hand, wanting to give An’an a slap.
But she didn’t succeed. An’an had lifted her hand, grasping Qianqian’s wrist even when she had handcuffs on and she applied some force.
Qianqian felt as though her wrist was going to break at any time. “Let go! Gu An’an, as if it’s not enough that you tried to harm the General, you’re even trying to harm the General’s daughter. Someone come catch her!”
“Gu An’an, hurry let go of the General’s daughter, if not, we’re going to shoot you in the head.”
One officer whipped out his gun, aiming right at An’an’s head.
An’an looked at the officers coldly, she swung her arm and Qianqian jolted backwards, almost falling to the ground.
“Elder Miss, are you fine?”
Qianqian felt so embarrassed and humiliated at the same time. Her eyes were filled with hatred and she signaled at the Police Chief with a glance.
The Police Chief nodded, signaling an officer.
The officer whipped out an electronic baton, aiming at the back of An’an’s knees as he struck her with it.
An’an broke out into cold sweat after being hit. She knelt with one knee on the ground, supporting herself with one hand on the ground.
Qianqian smiled smugly. She walked in front, arriving before An’an before she lifted her arm, giving An’an one heavy slap across her right cheek...
