Chapter 1186: Let Me Warn You, Don’t Taint My Sister
Lu Yeming slowly raised his brows. His deep eyes landed on Jun Xiqing’s small face.
Seeing him look over, Jun Xiqing quickly retracted her gaze and smiled. “West Duke, my congratulations for your marriage in half a month’s time. I wish you a happy married life.”
Lu Yeming stuck both hands in his pockets and looked at her. A low laugh escaped from his throat.
My, she was quite generous.
He was about to get married, while she was trapped in the West Palace and chosen to be a surrogate mother, yet she didn’t feel wronged at all.
His gaze was deep yet playful, his laugh elusive and devilish. It was enough to make one’s hair stand on end.
Who knew what he was planning.
“West Duke, Elder Sister Mo’er has left. I’ll take my leave as well. Goodbye.” Jun Xiqing started to leave.
She was going to just brush past him and leave, but before she could do so, a large palm shot over and grabbed her arm
Jun Xiqing was forced to stop. She looked sideways at him and said, “West Duke, what are you doing?”
Lu Yeming locked her arms in place and started pushing her back. Even though Jun Xiqing wanted to break free, she didn’t have the strength to. His long fingers were wrapped strongly around her arms, not allowing her to struggle at all.
She staggered and was pushed onto the wall by him. Her delicate back was against the wall, and in front of her was his approaching figure. She was trapped in his embrace.
She could smell his clean masculine scent. It wasn’t overpowering and lingered faintly in her nose. It was fragrant and refreshing.
Jun Xiqing lifted her bright eyes to look at him. “West Duke, just say whatever you came to say.”
Why?
He hadn’t had such murderous intent even when she had caused him to be shot in the chest in Country Z. Had she just discovered an unspeakable secret?
Jun Xiqing’s red lips curved upwards and she smiled brightly. “Many years ago at the Passion River, Madam Xuanji refused to wake up because of all the guilt and remorse she harbored over her son, so Lu Jinwen found you to become the West Duke and her son. Madam Xuanji woke up after that.
“But in actual fact, the identity of the West Duke and Lu Jinwen’s some has always been under investigation. Lu Jinwen hasn’t tested your DNA either. You’re just like your father, Lu Jinwen. Both of you think and fear too much, so it’s easy for you to hide this from the world.”
Lu Yeming gave a low laugh. “What do you think the truth is then?”
Jun Xiqing tilted her head and smiled lightly. “All these years, the West Duke has never bathed in the Lu Family’s glory. You made a name for yourself in Country A at the age of 18 and honed yourself into a sharp sword. You quickly carved out your own territory and named yourself the West Duke. As for the truth, your father Lu Jinwen belonged to a generation of top-tier businessmen and always planned ahead for a rainy day. Who knew that he would pass away leaving such a mystery. Of course, no one knows the truth better than you, West Duke.”
Lu Yeming rubbed his fingers against her chin. From an outsider’s perspective, they looked like they were holding each other affectionately but in actual fact, their eyes were cold. “Did Uncle Jun never tell you that it’s dangerous for women to be too intelligent?”
Jun Xiqing smiled. “West Duke, are you threatening me? I’m all alone now, locked up by you in the West Palace. You can kill me whenever you like if you’re unhappy, but...”
Jun Xiqing looked sideways at the door and said softly, “West Duke, Elder Sister Mo’er is back!”
Lu Yeming’s eyes shifted slightly. He was bent over now and couldn’t turn, but he could already spot a beautiful figure out of the corner of his eye. Tang Mo’er actually had returned.
He pressed his body against Jun Xiqing, pushing her delicate body against the wall. The two of them were entwined suggestively, not a gap between them and he instructed her in a low voice, “Hug me.”
Jun Xiqing raised her head and batted her eyelashes at him. Almost immediately, she wrapped her arms around his waist.
Lu Yeming’s deep eyes turned amused. He didn’t need to speak as much to intelligent people. The two of them worked well together. He could see the intelligence in her eyes, which were as bright as stars.
With his eyebrows knitted together, Lu Yeming bent down and kissed her red lips. Tang Mo’er stood at the door peeking in secretly. In the corner of the room the lights couldn’t quite reach, Lu Yeming and Jun Xiqing were pressed against the wall, kissing each other.
Tang Mo’er quickly retracted her head. She held her red and hot face in her hands.
How embarrassing!
She really was thinking too much.
