Chapter 1327: Another Encounter (1)
Tang Mo’er... She said that she was thankful to have him.
Stretching out one arm, Gu Mohan grasped her slim waist and pulled her into his arms. “Who do you want to invite to the party?”
“Er...” Tang Mo’er tilted her head, giving it some thought. “An’an, Shi’shi, Qingqing... This party would also be a gathering for the kids. Our story is over but who knows what’s going to happen to our next generation?”
Gu Mohan pinched the tip of her nose. “So we’re going to just sip on tea while watching the drama?”
Tang Mo’er raised her brows. “That’s exactly what I mean.”
The two smiled knowingly at each other.
...
There was an international conference and the political leaders of many countries appeared.
The door was pushed open.
The leaders raised their heads, looking over. An imposing figure stood by the door, it was Lu Yeming.
Lu Yeming took off his black leather gloves, handing it over to Fan Men, who was behind him and he strode into the venue.
He wore a custom-made black suit with a white handkerchief neatly folded and tucked in his suit pocket. The bright lights shone on his handsome face, his tailored trousers cut through the wind in swift motions.
Everyone turned back to look at him. In the eyes of the leaders, Lu Yeming was definitely the youngest and most capable ruler among them.
“President Lu.” A few people came up to him.
Lu Yeming stopped and had a simple conversation with them. The other leaders had all brought interpreters with them but Lu Yeming was multilingual and could speak many languages without the assistance of an interpreter.
The other leaders had brought their wives and daughters over. Those girls gathered in groups, secretly peeping at him while they blushed.
“Daughter, stop looking. President Lu is already married, he married Dongfang Ruoli three years ago.” One of the first ladies noticed that her daughter was infatuated with Lu Yeming and she warned her.
He was already married...
The girls blushed even more.
The first ladies signaled at each other with an inner sigh, they couldn’t do anything to stop their daughters. Looking at Lu Yeming again, this man was simply suave, mature, personable and those deep-set eyes were to die for. Who couldn’t see from his powerful aura that he was ambitious and astute? If they were any younger, they would also be mesmerized by this man.
“We’re all fine with it, but President Lu has been looking at his watch, perhaps he has something else on.”
President Lu...
Jun Xiqing looked over in his direction. She stood under the bright lights and so did he. Her eyes met with his deep-set eyes.
After three years, they finally met each other once again.
Lu Yeming stood not too far away from her, with one hand in his pocket as he looked at her with inky eyes.
Jun Xiqing instantly smiled. “President Lu, I’m sorry, I’ll treat you to a meal.”
Lu Yeming remained calm. “It’s okay.”
They averted their eyes at the same time.
“Okay, the conference begins now. May I invite all leaders to take their respective seats,” the emcee announced.
A staff member showed Lu Yeming to the first row. “President Lu, this is your seat.”
Jun Xiqing also walked forward and another staff member gestured to the seat beside the man. “President Jun, this is your seat. Are you okay with sitting beside President Lu?”
Jun Xiqing looked at Lu Yeming, not feeling awkward at all. She merely joked, “I heard that President Lu is already married. I just hope President Lu’s wife wouldn’t misunderstand anything if I sit beside him.”
The two staff members were impressed by Jun Xiqing and their feelings towards her were warm. Jun Xiqing had become even more astute and quick-witted over these three years. Her every action was well thought-out and she was simply impressive.
Jun Xiqing lived a life that all women wouldn’t even dare to imagine.
Lu Yeming raised the corners of his lips, behaving politely. “President Jun, you may sit first.”
Jun Xiqing sat down first before Lu Yeming occupied the seat beside her.
...
The conference began.
Groan. Jun Xiqing felt that she was really unlucky today. First she was caught up in traffic, now that she had arrived late, she found she had brought a notebook but not a pen.
What should she do now?
The other leaders were all taking notes, except for her. If the stubborn old senators of Country Z were to learn about it, they would probably never stop nagging at her for at least three days.
With a flutter of her lashes, Jun Xiqing looked beside her, whispering softly, “President Lu, can I borrow a pen?”
