Chapter 22 - Startled the Doctor

Returning to the villa, Xiang Chen Xi remembered that Tao Chu Liang was still hungry. He could not care about the pain in his back, and turned around to enter the kitchen.

He cooked a bowl of noodles for Tao Chu Liang and only felt relieved after he saw her finish eating with a cold face.

Tao Chu Liang simply took care of the injured areas himself. Xiang Chen Xi scanned those areas one by one and furrowed his brows, but didn't say anything more.

A moment later, the butler arrived with the doctor. This was the first time the butler saw the young master in such a miserable state. He looked at Tao Chu Liang meaningfully before leaving.

"Good morning, Mr. Xiang." the doctor said politely.

Xiang Chen Xi nodded in response as he instructed, "Check her carefully to see if he has any other injuries."

"Yes." Hearing Xiang Chen Xi's tone, the doctor did not dare be negligent and immediately moved.

An unknown emotion appeared in Tao Chu Liang's eyes. While cooperating with the doctor's examination, she raised his head slightly and looked at the ice-cold face.

"You go upstairs and rest first. I'll go check on Cissy." She didn't wait for Xiang Chen Xi's reply and ran into the dog's room.

Xiang Chen Xi watched her enter before returning to his room, and when he showered, his back was slightly aching. Thinking back to the injury on Tao Chu Liang's head just now, his heart ached uncontrollably.

Sissy very obediently rubbed her hands together with Tao Chu Liang's legs, causing Tao Chu Liang to laugh, as if it had felt Tao Chu Liang's smile and happily wagged its tail.
