The Princess's Knight Scene twelve act four...
The wind blew through the leaves of the trees. A young girl was standing at the edge of the pound lightly tracing her hand over the pounds surface. The sunlight reflecting off the pounds surface sparkled due to the ripples formed by the young girls playing. Although from a distance it would seem as if the girl was playing happily. This was in fact not true. On closer inspection, you could see the young girl's expression was downcast and absent-minded as if she was lost in deep thought.
"Is this how I, Princess Alicia of Alastine will fair? Why does father not think of my happiness? Why must I be sacrificed to marry the King of Forten..." A tear streaked down the young girl's cheek. "If only I had the right to love as I wish. If only my knight..." Her voice trailed off as she got up.
The young girl kicked off her shoes as she lifted her dress and slowly dunked the tips of her toes into the water before quickly retracting them. "Ah! Cold..." The young girl exclaimed.
Barefooted the young girl stood at the side of the pound as she looked out over the water. The wind blew causing the young girl's hair to flutter in the wind. Her expression as filled with longing and a hint of sadness. The young girl reached out at an angle towards the sky. "How I wish I could fly like the birds in the sky. To fly so freely. I would be able to go where I wanted and be where I wanted to be. See the places I want to see and love the person I want to love..."
The young girl put her shoes back on as she turned around walking towards a tall tree. Her every step was elegant. You could see that she was taught from a young age. The young girl placed one hand on the tree trunk as she let that same hand slide against the tree bark as she circled the tree before finally sitting down in a shady spot leaning her back up against the tree.
The young girl closed her eyes as she slowly drifted to sleep. Two more tears rolled down her cheeks. A young man dressed in leather armor slowly walked towards the sleeping girl. Seeing the girl's tears roll down her face made the young man's brow furrowed. He leaned over and ever so gently wiped the tears from the young girls eyes.
The young man paused as he stared at the beautiful sleeping face in front of him. He leaned in as their lips got closer centimeter by centimeter. But just before they were about to touch the young girl's mouth parted as she softly whispered: "Blake..."
The two people stood in the same position waiting for the director to single for the scene to be finished. Time ticked by as seconds become minutes. The whole set was dead quiet. No one made a sound. It was only after three minutes had passed that Lin Xiaoxiao opened her eyes and looked at all the people staring at them wide-eyed.
"Ahem, Director Lou the scenes over..." Lin Xiaoxiao was a bit uncomfortable having a man she did not know hovering over her for so long. So she had no choice but to speak up.
"Ah! Yes! Cut!" Director Lou finally came back to his senses after hearing Lin Xiaoxiao's words. Looking somewhat embarrassed Director Lou said: "Excellent job Miss Lily! It was even better than when I had you try out for the part during the talent search." Director Lou purposely said this in order to let everyone know that Lin Xiaoxiao not only tried out for the part but also was selected for the role as a talent who had only come to audition to become a new talent, not more than a week ago! He was basically slapping the people who spoke out earlier in the face!
"Un, that's because I had props to work with. You can only bring a scene alive so well when you have nothing but pantomiming to work with. But more importantly. For those who said I slept my way into the role and have no acting ability… I wonder what are your thoughts now?" Lin Xiaoxiao's gaze turned sharp as it landed on the few people who had talked trash earlier.
Shen Xing who stood off to the side quietly and watched everything that had happened motioned with his finger to one of the bodyguards as he whispered: "You know what to do." After just speaking these few words his gaze turned cold as he looked at those few crew members who tried to cause trouble.
