Chapter 49 - You Look Stunning

As soon as Lin Xiaoxiao got off the elevator Shen Xing was already waiting for her. He was standing there with his arms across his chest and his brow furrowed. It was not that he was mad but more that he was frustrated. Mainly because the more he thought of what happened he did not know what he would do if the person that was being assaulted was Lin Xiaoxiao. 

Seeing Shen Xing as soon as she got off the elevator instantly made Lin Xiaoxiao lower head as if she was a little kid who had just got caught doing something they were not supposed to.  

"Xing… I'm sorry..." Seeing Lin Xiaoxiao's behavior  Shen Xing did not know whether to laugh or cry. 

"Xiaoxiao I am not mad. I just hope for now on you will bring the bodyguards with you so something like this will not happen again." Shen Xing sighed. There was no way he could ever actually be mad at this girl in front of him.

"Un. I promise for now on no matter where I go I will bring them with me." Lin Xiaoxiao was not lying when she made this promise. She did not want to go through such a thing again. Seeing Little Bo trembling in fear as she was caused her realize that the bodyguards could guard more than just her self. 

It had taken almost two hours after they got back for Little Bo to finally calm down. Lin Xiaoxiao told Little Bo to take a few days off to get some rest. For a girl who was not yet an adult to have to go through such a thing was not good for their mental health. This was especially true for Little Bo. She has had social anxiety since way before Lin Xiaoxiao had met her. This stemmed not only from debt collectors and the like but also from kids her own age who used to pick on her for being poor and wearing the same clothes all the time when she was younger. It wasn't so bad that she could not go out of the house and work as she did do many part-time jobs to help out with money after dropping out of school at a young age. It was just she could never work a job that dealt with other people all day. She always ended up doing jobs such as washing dishes or stocking goods. Little Bo's life was not easy so after such an experience that she had today, Lin Xiaoxiao had no problem giving her a few days off to calm herself down.

"Alright get changed I had the maid get you a dress for tonite. It is not too formal but it is still good to dress up when going to visit my grandparents. I do the same even when I'm going by myself." Lin Xiaoxiao nodded her head before walking up to Xing and hugging him and resting her head on his chest.

"Do you think they will like me?" Lin Xiaoxiao was very nervous about meeting his grandparents for the first time. She had never experienced something like this in either of her lives. So this was a whole new experience for her.

"I know they will. My grandparents are really laid back. If anything they will probably love you more than will love me." What Shen Xing said was not wrong, his grandparents had been bugging him to bring a girl home for them to meet for a few years now. He was sure as soon as he walked through the door he would get pushed aside like a piece of trash as soon as they laid eyes on his baby girl.

"I hope so… I will go get dressed so we can get going. But first, give me a kiss." Lin Xiaoxiao lifted her head. Shen Xing smiled and shook his head as he leaned down and kissed her soft lips. 

After parting their lips from each other Lin Xiaoxiao smiled as she ran off to get changed. The dress that Shen Xing prepared for her was a modern style Cheongsam style dress that was black with red peony embroidered across the chest. With Lin Xiaoxiao's long back hair and white jaded skin along with her beautiful looks had made even the maid blush when she saw Lin Xiaoxiao come out after getting changed.

Seeing Lin Xiaoxiao walkout Shen Xing felt like lightning had hit him when he saw her. He could not help but think that his baby girl was getting more beautiful by the day. 

"What do you think?" Lin Xiaoxiao giggled seeing the expression on Shen Xing's face. She knew she looked good but she did not expect such a reaction. Especially since it looked like Shen Xing's eyes were going to fall out of his head.

"Ahem… You look stunning..." Shen Xing faked coughed, trying to hide his embarrassment.
