Chapter 131 - A Day Not To Remember

Time slowly floated by two months passed. Lin Xiaoxiao's stomach finally started showing. She had not gone out much lately unless it was to deal with one of her businesses and even then it was only for a short while. Shen Xing ended up hiring a personal assistant named Wei Fu to help Lin Xiaoxiao with her companies while she was resting at home. So unless it was a meeting she did not need to go anywhere. 

Wei Fu came highly recommended by Grandma Shen. For two reasons. One she was very good at her job almost on par with Fang De and the second was because she was a lesbian and Lin Xiaoxiao would not have to worry about the girl working closely with her trying to jump into bed with Shen Xing. But now Shen Xing had to worry about Wei Fu trying to jump into bed with Lin Xiaoxiao. Grandma Shen arranged it this way because she did not want Lin Xiaoxiao to accumulate any stress while carrying the babies. 

Today though was the day that Shen Li and Little Bo were going to have their wedding ceremony. Once again Grandma Shen went all out on the decorations. Surprisingly enough Grandma Shen wanted to make Shen Li's and Little Bo's wedding completely different so they went with a western-style wedding. Of course,  it would have a twist as a monk would read a few scriptures while Shen Li and Little Bo would say their vows but the other traditions were not going to be held.  

"Lily~!" Little Bo  who was in a white wedding dress with a long tail yelled out as soon as she saw Lin Xiaoxiao walk into the dressing room. 

"Ruru what's wrong?" Lin Xiaoxiao laughed lightly as she saw how nervous Little Bo was. ' This sister of mine never changes. '

"What do I do if I mess up? Wouldn't that make Li'er look bad!?" Little Bo asked as she started to pace back and forth.

"Ruru relax. I will be with you all the way down the aisle. As your maid of honor, I won't leave your side. Plus I'm the one giving you away!" In western world weddings, it is normal for a father to give their daughter away. Unfortunately, Little Bo does not have a father nor does she have any other male family members. Bo Ling, Little Bo's mother would have done it if she was not in a wheelchair. Just in case anything happened they needed someone who was able-bodied. Instead, Bo Ling will be behind Little Bo holding up the tail of her dress while being pushed by Qin Mei. Which left only Lin Xiaoxiao to give Little Bo away. 

It was finally time as the music played, Shen Li wore a black wedding suit as he stood by the Buddhist monk waiting for Little Bo to arrive. The large doors opened to the hall and a beautiful girl walked down the aisle in a white wedding dress. Standing next to her holding her arm was another beautiful girl in a light blue dress. Behind them was a woman in her forties who sat in a wheelchair holding up the tail of the bride's dress and pushing the wheelchair along was another woman in her forties. 

In the corner of the venue sitting at a table somewhat secluded to the rest. Sat a young woman in a red dress who stared hatefully at Lin Xiaoxiao. This young woman was none other than Sun Qui! She watched as Lin Xiaoxiao walked up the aisle and an evil grin spread across her face. "The show is just about to begin!" 

As the words left Sun Qui mouth a man stood abruptly and charged towards Lin Xiaoxiao. The man had a large knife in his hand as he stabbed out. A few people screamed but the man was fast. Lin Xiaoxiao was not expecting something like this to happen when the man came running at her. None of her bodyguards were close by so they could not do anything. As she did her best to brace herself for what was to come. Her only thought was to protect the babies in her belly as much as possible. But just before the man could get close to her she felt her body being engulfed in warmth. 

Loud screams sounded out as many of the guests pounced on the man taking him to the ground. Lin Xiaoxiao was confused as to what was going on only to see that the person covering her was Qin Mei. 

"Lily are you okay?" Qin Mei asked with a panicked expression.

"Huh? Yeah, I am. Mom?" Seeing how Lin Xiaoxiao was okay Qin Mei's lips formed a bright smile before her eyes rolled up into the back of her head. Her body slid down Lin Xiaoxiao's body as she collapsed towards the floor. 

Lin Xiaoxiao quickly supported Qin Mei but felt something warm on her hand. She looked down and saw a pool of blood collecting on the floor. "Mom! Mom!" Tears flooded Lin Xiaoxiao's eyes as she looked at the paling face of Qin Mei. 

Little Bo was also in a panic as she yelled out "Aunty!? Is there a doctor here!? Anyone  please?"

Lin Xiaoxiao slumped to her knees resting Qin Mei's head in her lap as she rocked back and forth completely in shock. Shen Xing hurried over to her and sat beside her trying to do what he could to calm Lin Xiaoxiao down. 

"Hello! Yes, someone was stabbed and we have a pregnant woman here hyperventilating. So we will need two ambulances as well..."Shen Li was the only one who seemed to have a cool head as he called for help. 

As all the guest were panicking Sun Qui gave a sneer as she watched the scene in front of her. "Fucking lucky slut! Humph!" After giving a snort and stomping her feet Sun Qui gracefully walked out of the wedding hall. Once she was back in her car she muttered to herself. "It might have failed this time. But soon there will be a time when I will kill you and take my rightful spot next to Shen Xing!"
