When the four guests arrived at the cafeteria, Shi Xinyan was overcome with joy, as if he finally met his family after a lifetime apart. Immediately afterwards, he saw Jiang Xun next to Gu Wei. His joy puffed out of existence, and he was left dumbstruck.

Seeing these two people standing side-by-side was shocking. It even shocked his mom, too.

“We are very friendly now.” Gu Wei thought he had found a way to compensate Jiang Xun, so he no longer felt guilty at all. He dialed down his previous vigilance.

Also, Shi Xinyan still didn’t understand why the crew bullied him to wash fifty extra dishes.

Because the first challenge was to find all the other guests, the difficulty wasn’t too high. All of them were scripted to finish the challenge and received their task key. 

Apart from the hubris at the beginning, the subsequent games were not too difficult. The main purpose is to let the five guests interact and become more familiar with each other. After a full day of being tormented by the unfeeling crew, they finally opened the gate of the school and rushed to their sweet, sweet freedom. With the filming of the first episode officially ended, the guests took a rest in the hotel arranged by the director. Then by the next day, they would return home. Since the games ended early, the director decided to take a few more shots of the guests staying at the hotel.

After filming the program together for a day, the five of them have become familiar with each other. They gathered around the dinner table and suddenly had endless topics to talk about.

“Let’s cheat the director next time. We shall have our revenge!” Qian Yining, who was bullied all day long by the director for wearing a miniskirt, suggested, “we won’t let them continue this tyranny over us!” 

“Okay, okay. Count me in.” Gu Wei was the first to agree.

This was very different from the variety shows he had filmed before. The guests were all very friendly towards him. It made him let go of all his defenses.

Bei Ke was the oldest of the bunch, but he was a very easy-going person. Qian Yining was young and had a lively temper, making her able to hold smooth conversation with all of them. Although all of them were fundamentally different people with different personalities, when they sat together like this, they had no problem getting along. 

“Do you want to eat that?” Jiang Xun saw Gu Wei’s eyes lingering on the plate of crabs, but he didn’t see the youth reaching out to grab them.

Gu Wei tasted the fresh and sweet crab meat before he realized what he had done–

He was still biting Jiang Xun’s chopsticks.

“Is it delicious?” Jiang Xun asked him.

Gu Wei nodded shyly, still with Jiang Xun’s chopsticks in his mouth.

“How do you thank me?” Jiang Xun asked deliberately.

“I… understand.” Gu Wei straightened his expression, he looked very earnest, “don’t worry.” 

That’s right, now that the filming was over, the matter of compensation and repaying the meme should be put on the agenda.

Jiang Xun didn’t care what Gu Wei understood. He just continued to peel crabs for Gu Wei while chatting with Bei Ke who was seated on his left.
