CH.266 Chaos God Dungeon

With things finally calmed down, all of us took a little breather and I began to look into what my new dungeon could do.

Controlling it was mostly the same as my last one, except that this one was way more detailed. It was almost like going from a simplified interface to a full-operations interface. I could control literally everything inside the dungeon. That included things like being able to bring the monsters under my control. The only thing I couldn’t do is take control of humanoids, or more specifically, people with the system. I think I normally wouldn’t be able to control Agunan either, but because of the Life Dedication, I could control him like a puppet if I wanted to. The same went for Ria, because she is my slave. But yeah, I could alter the floors, what monsters appear, how they attack and so forth. I could even put some of Yugioh monsters in as monsters that will appear in the dungeon, and I might do that later.

As for the making items aspect of this dungeon, that is where stuff gets a bit more complicated. Unlike TinaWood, which used the Generation point system, this dungeon used ‘gauges’ of resources. I had a mana meter, a miasma meter, and an ‘other’ meter. All of them were slowly filling up at different speeds. Mana was coming in quite fast, while miasma came in at a rate that seemed to be about a quarter of that. And the ‘other’ was very slow. But if what the Goddess said is true, and it most likely is, the ‘other’ is for the other parts of the Chaos God Energy, and they only made under 1% of the total energy, so I guess the expected speed at which I get it should only be under 1% of the total incoming energies. But considering that, I think it is actually coming in just a bit faster. I think it is coming in at a speed of about 1.2% of the total incoming energies. ... well, that could be because humans and monsters use some of the mana and miasma coming from that Chaos God Dimension, but all of the ‘other’ stuff is only for these special dungeons.

But back to what I could make. ... there is an absolute ton of stuff here... It is like someone took every mail order catalog and put them into one list. In short, this thing could make almost anything, including all of the things I previously analyzed for TinaWood. The only things I didn’t spot were the things I kept in only Tahlia’s memory, like the armored jackets Ria and I wore.

The item list had full search functions, categories, and all of that, so it wasn’t that difficult to search, but still, with well over ten million items in the catalog, it would take me a while to check them all. ... I wonder if Tahlia can do that? Can the link my factory has with Dungeon Founder be used to check all of this stuff?

And as I kind of already eluded, the cost of making stuff was, instead of Generation points, in the style of ‘X-amount of mana, Y-amount of miasma and Z-amount of other’. Most things took none of the ‘other’, but some of the high ranking things did require it. I could also play around with the amounts I would put into making the item. For instance, I could use a bit of ‘other’ stuff to replace a ton of mana and miasma, to min-max efficiency. But on the other hand, the ‘other’ stuff is the only time limited resource. I can’t make more of it, like I can with mana and miasma. For mana, I can just put some of my own into the core, to get more faster, and for miasma, I can absorb monster corpses. Managing this ‘other’ stuff does seem to be the real key to maximum efficiency.

It also had a full item developer, which was basically a 3D-CAD software. I could use it to mess with items, make new items and so forth. And I knew what I wanted to make first. There was just one thing that came to mind. At first, I wanted to do this by giving both Lua and Alice their own terminal, but Lua said it would be a bad idea, so let's do this instead.

I turned my Founder’s terminal into a duel disk and analyzed it. Not as a terminal, but as a duel disk. With the better dungeon, I could do that, and quickly, something called ‘Card Summoning Disk’ was added the the catalog. It has a description saying it would allow the usage of ‘Pack Opener’ cards, by those with ‘Card Summoner’ to be done by putting the cards on it, instead of having to hold the card in the hand.

The way it was now would work, but at the same time, the way it is now is not like my terminal at all. Because as the duel disk was now, when ‘deactivated’ it would still only get to the ‘folded’ state of a typical GX style duel disk. It couldn’t go all the way to just a bracer like my terminal could.

As I said, it would work, but it was kind of big and bulky, so I didn’t like it. It would be just fine if I wanted to just sell duel disks, but for Alice and Lua, I wanted just a bit of extra. So I began playing with the parameters and functions of the item. As I went along, I first made just a bracer that could hold one card, like the one Christina’s terminal is. That was easy. Then I made a version that looked like the DiaDhank that I once had. Again, it was easy to make, but making one that could turn from the bracer to the DiaDhank was a bit more difficult.

“... Brian? What are you doing?” Alice asked. She had been reading a book that she got as a reward for helping me eliminate the dungeon. Lua had gotten a book as well. I wonder what they are about?

I decided to quickly try it, but I got an error saying:

Limit Break cannot level up to LV.2, until you are LV.199.

So... it might work? But only after I get to 199. I mean, it doesn’t say it didn’t affect or anything like that, only that it cannot do it now.

And lastly, that strange question mark skill was still there. Also, for some reason, it was at the top of the list. When I tried checking it, it said that I am of the wrong race to use that skill. So it seems to be a racial skill, which I unlocked for no reason.

So with that issue, not solved, but checked on, I moved onto Pack Opener.

Pack Opener [Collection][Deck][Graveyard][Banished] (new]

[Sleeve maker] (+1)[Summoning Challenge][Instructions] [Set lists][Open Packs][Promo Trade] (+1)[Buy Decks]

It had some stuff, but not as much as last time. First, I now had a banished zone. It was interesting, because prior to this, the cards that I banished would just disappear on the spot. But now, they would go to the banished zone, and I had 24 hours to get them back from there, or they would vanish for good. Too bad the cards I sacrifice for sleeves don’t go there, so I can’t recover them. Not that I have something like Necroface in the first place. Well, eventually I’ll get one.

As for the new promo trades, well, I had more of the Shonen Jump promos available again.

Five of them, this time.

All of the Wicked monsters looked just like they did in the TCG, so they were Dark/Fiends. But, they did have an effect which they didn’t have in the TCG. All of them had the same additional effect.

[If this card is in a Divine sleeve, it is always also treated as a Divine/Divine-Beast monster.]

And Divine sleeves were something new I could make with my Sleeve Maker. To make them, it didn’t take cards, but instead resources from this dungeon. They would cost about five or six hours worth of ‘other’ stuff, and some mana and miasma, but those were negligible compared to the ‘other’ stuff. And when made, they came with both a sleeve and a toploader. I’d have to put both onto a single card, and then... well, you get the picture. So for now, my goal is to make a set for Exodia. A set for all of the new Wicked monsters I just got. And then I need ten, so I can trade ten Wicked monsters for Obelisk the Tormentor. And then I’ll need one more for the Obelisk. That will be nineteen in total.

Unless after getting the first Divine/Divine-Beast monsters, I’ll be able to use DNA Surgery to turn other monsters into Divine-Beasts. I’ll try it after I get my first Wicked monster. But for now, it is time for dinner.

I hope Kitchen Dragonmaid can make us something good, even though we are in a dungeon.
