Chapter 153 - Back To Island A

"It's marketing sales. The discount you give on the first day is not enough and why don't you make use of the advertisement slot on some famous malls? Their board will definitely attract attention…."

As Yu Yan began to lecture Lei Xing Yi on the importance of having a brand known, Long Ying was watching from the side. He knew that the store of Xingyan Company, named Xingyan Jewelry Store was open last week.

The reception was not exactly that good as it was clearly just one amongst many other jewelries store. They still got profit but it was not that much.

Right now, Yu Yan was trying to tell Lei Xing Yi that she had to care more about the promotions and assign more budgets for it. There were already several plans that Yu Yan laid out to make Xingyan brand more known to the people in City A.

It was impossible to be famous overnight.

But if the jewelries are good and they managed to catch a lot of people who were willing to buy and share to their friends, they would become more and more famous with time.. What was important for now was that they needed to keep steady supply that was qualified.

The promotion was to bring more people to know the brand.

But looking at the amount of money Yu Yan wanted to pour for the promotion, Lei Xing Yi felt her heart pinched.

It was so much!

"This… do I really need to spare this much money?" Lei Xing Yi looked at Yu Yan as if she wanted to cry.

Yu Yan rolled her eyes. "I'll give you the money. Since I hold the share, it's only right for me to give you some budgets. Also, try to get some investors!"

"I… will try."

Seeing how dejected Lei Xing Yi was, Yu Yan sighed. She definitely didn't wish to be this harsh on her little cousin but the business world was cruel. Since Lei Xing Yi dared to set up a company, she had to be ready for this cutthroat world.

Everyone here worked to earn a lot of money and their goal was simply to earn more and more. Unless they could compete with others, they would not be able to gain enough standing and receive profit.

At that time, many underhanded methods would be used.

Lei Xing Yi would need to face them one by one in the future. Yu Yan was simply trying to prepare this little girl so that she would not be shocked.

"Sister Yan."

"Yeah?"

"The reason why you don't want to become a CEO on your own, is it because of this cruel reality?" Lei Xing Yi asked while playing with the pen on her hand. 

The business world was not any peaceful than the battle Yu Yan had with her parents. In fact, it was even more bloody and cruel despite they not wounding each other physically.

Yu Yan was silent for a moment then she tilted her head. "Nah, I'm just too lazy. Don't you know that being the leader meant that you need to care about all the employees under you? I'm not suitable for such taxing works."

The answer nearly chocked Lei Xing Yi to death.

She could only glare at her older cousin while Yu Yan merely gave an innocent look. She was truly feeling lazy and wasn't willing to take care of all the management, which was the reason why she only wished to be a manager. Heck, she didn't want to be burdened with so much work.

It would be better to just pass it to those who genuinely wanted it.

The two of them talked about some matters and Yu Yan settled some documents. It was evening when she finally finished everything and could leave. Lei Xing Yi was disappointed when she heard that Yu Yan would still be 'missing' for the next few months.

She originally wished that Yu Yan could be more active and helped her more.

However, Yu Yan simply said, "Earn enough money to properly settle your company's building. Do you really want them to forever using your mansion like this?"

Lei Xing Yi: "…" fine.

The company was still so small that it was impossible for ordinary people to even think of it as a formal company. It would definitely take some time before they could settle a building that they could use for a long time.

But at that time, it would mean that their business was going well.

After settling everything, Yu Yan felt much better. She stretched her body as she waited for An Lin to come with their car.

"I didn't expect that Lil Lei Xing Yi to be able to handle almost everything by herself," Yu Yan commented. The papers that Lei Xing Yi showed to her were mostly already assembled before and the matters that she was worried about was already partially done.

Did her grandfather had taught Lei Xing Yi everything? But it was unlikely that Lei Xing Yi would be extremely familiar with everything when she was still busy learning in High School too.

Long Ying arched his eyebrows. "She had other helpers."

"Other helpers?" Yu Yan was surprised. But thinking about it, Lei Xing Yi know other people in the business world that she didn't know. Nodding lightly, Yu Yan accepted Long Ying's explanation. 

The car arrived and the couple entered the car. An Lin, who was driving, also reported. "Madam, everything you asked to buy have been bought and delivered to Island A."

"That's good. I'll take a look at it tomorrow."

Long Ying looked at his wife, but Yu Yan merely stuck out her tongue to him, refusing to give answer as to what she bought. He sighed and thought whether he should sneak a peek at what she bought later.

But she wanted to keep it a secret…

His inner self was in turmoil right now.

San Xia stared at the stack of items that Yu Yan asked to buy and felt a bit confused at how ordinary they were. She turned to look at An Luo. "Why would she even hide what she wanted to buy from Boss if it's just these?"

An Luo narrowed his eyes. "It's naturally to give him surprise."

"Surprise? Is there any special occasion?" San Xia tilted her head before she recalled something. "Come to think about it…. I think I need to buy some items too for Boss."

"I already prepared your portion." An Luo rolled his eyes as he already knew that San Xia would forget.

"Yay! You're the best, Hubby!"

When An Lin drove Long Ying and Yu Yan back to their place in Island A, he was utterly speechless by what he saw. His brother and sister in law were hugging each other in front of the house.

Looking at the sky, An Lin chanted silently.

'I hope a thunder will strike them from the sky… don't they know I already have been fed so much dog food and yet they still add even more today…'

Long Ying looked at his subordinate as he arched his eyebrows. Since they departed when it was already evening from City A, it was night time when they arrived in Island A.

Yu Yan was already asleep and Long Ying silently carried her out of the car. His eyes swept towards the couple in front of him. "Don't be noisy."

"Yes!" San Xia nodded vehemently while whispering her answer.

An Luo also nodded because he knew that Long Ying didn't want them to disturb the sleeping Yu Yan. Naturally, they knew their placed and would not try to make noise and caused Yu Yan to wake up.

As Long Ying entered the house where he was staying with Yu Yan, his gaze moved to the living room. He wanted to know what was the items Yu Yan asked An Lin and his other men to buy.

However, he didn't find anything.

Did she ask them to store it somewhere else?

Long Ying then looked at his sleeping wife and sighed. Since she didn't want him to know, it was only right for him to not try to pry deeper. Even though he was very curious, Long Ying knew that it wouldn't do him good to pry into her secrets when she was not willing to tell him.

He sighed.

'Little Lass, you better have good reason for this.'

Despite feeling slightly unwilling, Long Ying brought Yu Yan directly to the bedroom and put her down. Yu Yan stirred a bit and turned around. Her hand reached out and tugged on the corner of Long Ying's clothes.

He smiled faintly when he saw how his little wife acted. Whispering slowly, he pulled the blanket for her. "Behave, Yan'er."

"Mhm…Ying…"

Hearing her calling him in her dream made Long Ying a bit happier. His silver eyes flickered as he removed his own jacket and tossed it away. Slowly, he leaned in and kissed Yu Yan's forehead.

"Sweet dream, Yan'er."
