Chapter 26 The Spiders’ Home

Lanya looked up and saw the falling giant golden spider. She gasped and almost lost control of herself.

The golden spider was even bigger than an adult man, but it was very stealthy on the spider web, so much so that the web didn’t even tremble. As it got closer, a strange fragrance spread from its body.

On the head in the middle of its two front pincers was a row of six round blue eyes, which looked like six sapphires.

It moved its long golden-furred legs and leisurely crawled to the side of the cocoon wrapping Lin Ge and Lanya. It approached the back of Lanya’s neck, its sickle-like mandibles slightly opening and closing as if it would cut her neck at any moment.

Lanya’s lips trembled, and tears welled up in her eyes. Finally, she could not hold back her tears and burst into tears.

The golden giant spider’s light illuminated the surroundings. A human figure flew out of the darkness and landed on the spider web.

“Your home?”

“Yeah, I’ve been living here for a long time.”

“Did you give birth to all the spiders in the cave?” Lin Ge suddenly asked.

“Bah! Do you think I’m like those unintelligent cave spiders who can give birth to as many as they want? I have a noble ancient bloodline that can only have one descendant. Besides, I’m not even married yet, so how can I give birth to little spiders? Those spiders are only seeking my protection, that’s why they’ve gathered in this hole.”

“Okay, I got it. Get us out of here quickly.”

Elise snorted softly and stretched out her hand, drawing a faint line on the cocoon. With that, the spider thread that was tightly wrapped around the two lost its stickiness and scattered like dust.

Finally, Lin Ge and Lanya were separated. Elise furrowed her brows and sniffed the air, then couldn’t help but smile.

“Hey, what did you just call me?”

Lanya crossed her legs, blushed, and lowered her head without saying a word.

“You already knew we were in the cave?” Lin Ge quickly changed the topic.

Elise laughed, “Of course. This is my home. I noticed you the moment you came in.”

“In other words, you deliberately sent that spider to attack us? ”

“Hehe, I just wanted to scare you. Who asked you to always be so arrogant in the shop?” Lin Ge smiled helplessly. No matter what, he was safe now. That was the most important thing. “By the way, do you want to take a look at the underground palace I live in? it’s very luxurious. I instructed the cave spiders to build it.”

“Where is it?”

“Downstairs. Follow me.”

Elise suddenly grabbed Lanya’s hand and shot out spider thread from her other hand, which wrapped around the spider web under her feet. Then, she jumped down from the gap in the spider web with Lanya and fell to the bottom. “Neelu,” She said, “I’ll leave Lin Ge to you. I don’t want to touch him.”

Her voice gradually faded away. The cave seemed to go very deep down. Neelu walked to Lin Ge’s side and smiled, “Give me your hand, little brother Lin Ge.” Lin Ge reached out his hand, and Neelu immediately grabbed it. Her hand was cold, soft, and very comfortable. Then, the wings on her back flapped, and she flew to the bottom with Lin Ge.

“I’m a vampire, and because I don’t like the sun, I’m staying in Elise’s cave. It’s really not bad down there. It’s dark and quiet, and there are cute little spiders,” Neelu chuckled as if she was reintroducing herself.

“A vampire?” Lin Ge was shocked, “Will sister Neelu suck my blood?”

“Why?” Neelu smiled charmingly, “Do you want me to do so? If you like it, I can~”

“No, I didn’t mean it that way. I’m just a little curious.”

Without saying anything, Lin Ge raised his staff and walked through the stone door. Elise’s underground palace was indeed extraordinary. The spacious stone rooms were clean and tidy, and the decorations were elegant and exquisite. However, most of them were empty.

Lin Ge walked into another stone room. There was a large alchemy table in the room. It was against the wall, with bottles and jars on it. There was also some powder scattered on the table, which gave off a pungent smell.

Near the alchemy table was a bookshelf and a boiler, with several books on the bookshelf. In addition, he smelled wine. Although it was something he had never smelled before, he was sure that it was emitted by some kind of wine, the wine of this world.

He followed the smell and saw the wine rack on the other side of the room. It was filled with wine bottles. Some of them were unopened, some were half-full, and some were empty. “Where is this place?”

Lin Ge looked at the dirty and messy alchemy table, “Here?”

He suddenly understood why the wine she made tasted so bad.
