The Thousand-Beast Forest looked like any ordinary forest, but there were rumors that the Three Great Demon Gods lived in the middle of the Thousand-Beast Forest, which looked like an entirely different world. However, nobody had ever ventured there before.

“Brothers, this is the Thousand-Beast Forest in which demon beasts reside. We move forward together. Remember not to make too much noise, and try to avoid them as much as possible. We’re here to look for some Purple Honeysuckle. I’ll go first, you follow after me, and remember, the Thousand-Beast Forest is a dangerous place. Please, be on guard and pay close attention to even the slightest movement around you,” Shang Yu said.

“Roger that!”

“Brother Tianyi, Xing’er will protect you,” Xing Baobao said earnestly to Ye Tianyi.

“Grandfather won’t find out,” Xing Baobao mumbled. 

Ye Tianyi was humored. How adorable.

The appearance of Xing Baobao gave him an idea. He was worried about completing the Scumbag System mission, but Xing Baobao seemed attainable, right? At the very least, he could attain one girl. Then, there would not be any mission punishment. He was relieved.

“Don’t go home tonight, alright?” Ye Tianyi asked and laughed.

A shadow flashed by from behind a shrub on their left, and a purple shadow came rushing towards the person on Ye Tianyi’s left, Wang Xuchao!

The shadow was too fast. Wang Xuchao was only at the Bright Aperture stage, which was not very high. He was not able to dodge.

“Careful!”

Ye Tianyi responded quickly, activating his Wind Attribute power which boosted his speed. He went straight for the shadow.

In a split second, Ye Tianyi landed a flying kick on the shadow. 

In the instance of an emergency, everybody stopped in their tracks, ready with their weapons. 

“It’s the Demonized Raccoon Dog! Careful! There must be a pack of Demonized Raccoon Dogs nearby!” Shang Yu shouted as he caught sight of the demon beast.

The Demonized Raccoon Dog was about the size of three cats. It had a charcoal-black body, a long skinny tail, very scary-looking green eyes, and extraordinarily sharp claws!

Demonized Raccoon Dogs—agile demon beasts—traveled in packs and were usually of the Bright Aperture stage. Best at hiding up in the trees and in shrubs, they attack their prey with lightning speed, and they love attacking their prey by their throats, killing them in an instant. 

Swoosh—

At this moment, it leaped. A sudden blue streak of light hit the Demonized Racoon Dog, attacking it with a powerful strike. It tried to escape the attack, but as there was a great gap between their stages, it failed and was shocked to death by lightning!

“Be careful, everybody! There are Demonized Raccoon Dogs nearby, so please, protect your throats! It’s their favorite part to attack!” Shang Yu warned.

Everybody shielded their necks unconsciously. 

“Brother Tianyi, your speed…”

Xing Baobao looked at Te Tianyi in shock.

“We’ll talk later. We’re in a battle now!”

“Mmm!”

Xing Baobao drew her sword, while Ye Tianyi was barehanded.

As expected, many pairs of blue eyes started appearing. About 20 Demonized Raccoon Dogs had surrounded them, inching their way closer, slowly approaching the crowd as they waited for the best moment to attack.

“Be careful, these are Demonized Raccoon Dogs from the Bright Aperture stage. They shouldn’t be too big of a threat! Fight!”

“Yes!”
