Chapter 54 - 52

"Alex! Open the door." Keith called out. Alex has locked himself up inside the bathroom.

"I… I'm fine Keith." Alex shouted his voice trembling.

"Then just open this door. Alex, please. I'm getting worried." Keith pleaded.

Alex stared at the bathroom door, he wanted to open the door because he wanted Keith to rub his back and at the same time, he didn't want Keith to see him looking so pathetic.

Alex has been staying at Keith's house for a week now. Initially they agreed to have Alex stay at his own place, at least until Matt comes home. Matt has a habit of barging in on Alex's place and as much as possible they are trying to avoid his brother finding about their marriage on his own. They wanted to be the one to tell Matt and his parents.

"Your brother just called us a while ago, he is finally coming back next week." His mother happily informed Alex when he called to tell his parents that he'll be coming home too.

Alex told his mom that he will be bringing someone with him and Helena knowingly agreed. After all she's known about the presence of an Alpha in his life, though not to the extent that she knows it's someone of Keith's status.

Since the idea of Matt coming home unannounced is out of the equation, Keith initiated that he stayed in their home.

Alex has been feeling okay the past few days and he thought his gastritis has settled down as he has not been throwing up anymore.

He and Keith woke up earlier than needed for them to prepare for work and so they decided to stay in bed cuddling with each other, talking about random stuff when Alex suddenly felt his stomach churning. He rushed to the toilet to empty his stomach.

Alex stared at his sweaty face and the pain from throwing up in an empty stomach is evident in his pale face. He feels so ugly that he was glad Keith wasn't able to see him right now.

"Are you okay?" Keith immediately asked as soon as Alex opened the door. He hugged his Omega closed to him and rubbed his back at the same time.

"Yeah, I'm feeling better now." Alex replied hugging back the Alpha. "Don't stop. It feels good.." He murmured when Keith stopped rubbing his back for a moment.

"Today we'll go to the doctor." Keith announced. He has enough of this and he really wanted to know why Alex keeps throwing up.

"There's no need, I'm really fine." Alex replied, still mumbling. He's enjoying sniffing Keith's scent to bother about thinking of seeing the doctor.

"No. We will go today. Let's clock out early from work and see the doctor." Keith said as he brushed Alex's long hair.

"Hmm kay." Alex responded knowing there's no point arguing with his husband. Keith is using his Alpha tone on him which means he's decision is final. Besides he doesn't want to inconvenience Keith too much from worrying about him. The doctor would probably just scold him for not seeing him earlier and for not taking the medicine.

"Hey! Be honest with me." Chloe suddenly asked Alex who was busy reviewing the presentation Vera asked him to do.

"What is it?" Alex asked, surprised momentarily turning his eyes away from his laptop.

"Are you dating someone?" Chloe suspiciously inquired.

"I.. I'm not. W..Wh..I mean how can you say that?" Alex replied, stuttering.

"Hmm, I don't know, woman's instinct I guess. You kinda have that glow." Chloe replied, her fingers gesture as if tracing Alex's face in the air to prove her point.

"Wh..What do you mean? What glow?" Alex replied touching his face as if there's something wrong with it

"You know, that "glow". After sex glow." Chloe whispered giggling, making Alex's face burn in embarrassment.

Alex frowned at Chloe and asked her to stop teasing him. Chloe was still talking about that "glow" thing when Keith walked out of his room followed by Dana. The Alpha raised his brows when he noticed Alex's red face but Alex just smiled at him as if telling Keith there's nothing to worry.

Keith is having a lunch meeting outside of the office and Dana is coming with him which means that Vera would be in charge of the office.

"Can you both start working and stop gossiping." Vera scolded the two of them as soon as Keith and his entourage were gone.

Chloe mouthed the word "bitch" to Alex who just shakes his head. He's used to this by now. Vera scolds the two of them while Dana is not around and the Beta woman treats him coldy. It's an unpleasant environment but somehow it became tolerable for him. Besides he's too happy with his life right now to bother about how Vera treats him.

Vera is getting anxious as the new security guy didn't leave with Keith and stayed behind instead. She needed to have everyone leave before the guest arrived.

"Hey Vera where should we go for lunch today?" Chloe called out. She always acts sarcastically with Vera but they're always together during lunch which baffles Alex.

"I'm meeting a friend for lunch so you can go ahead without me." Vera replied.

"How about you Alex?" Chloe turned and asked Alex.

"Ahmm I have my own food." Alex replied, showing Chloe the lunch Sebastian packed for him and Dan. "I'm eating with my friend at the pantry."

"You should come join us for lunch sometimes. You've been here for almost a month now and we haven't once eaten together." Chloe pouted. She's hating the idea of eating alone. Vera didn't mention not joining her, the other girls she sometimes ate were probably gone out already.

"Sure, I'll try." Alex awkwardly replied. He's not sure if that's gonna happen. He normally eats with Keith inside his office or with Dan if the Alpha is not available Keith is such a worrier and wouldn't let him eat outside. He said he doesn't want him running into Dwight who according to Dan is still pissed off and cursing at Keith everyday. Not that he told Keith about it.

Chloe soon left to go out and eat outside. Dan came to pick up Alex and they both headed to the pantry. Colin soon followed subtly.

Vera finally heaved a sigh of relief once everyone is gone. She told that person to come right before lunch is over.

Vera anxiously waited. Lunch break is almost half way but she's not getting hungry at all. She can skip lunch whenever she's on diet anyway. Besides, she couldn't care about lunch at this point.

A quarter before one pm, the phone rang and she immediately reached for the receiver to answer it. "Yes hello Keith Andersen's office." Vera said as soon as she answered the call. "Yes please, you may let her in." Vera replied before ending the call.

Few minutes later, a tall and slender woman waltzes in like she's on a catwalk.

"Where is Keith?" The woman asked, removing the stylish sunglasses she's wearing. Every inch of her speaks luxury. Even Vera cowered and felt insecure just looking at her, what more would that Omega feel if he saw this woman.

"He's still out for a meeting but he would be arriving soon. You can wait inside his office." Vera replied smiling and leading the woman towards Keith's private office.

"Don't let anyone enter the room except for Keith." The woman ordered as soon as she sat down on the couch.

"Of course Ms. Ivana. I'll be leaving now. Let me know if you need anything else." Vera responded and left the woman inside.

Now all that's left is that Omega to come.
