Fluttering her eyes open, Catherine felt a cold almost home chilling mass drop on her head. She fought to keep her consciousness but the cool feeling of the unknown mass lulled her back to sleep.
Waking up after what felt like minutes, Catherine's body burned. She felt like she was lying on a bed of scolding stones.
"Finally you are awake." Catherine turned to see James walk into the room holding an ice park. Explains the chilling mass on her head before.

"I didn't even know when I slept, what are you doing here?" Catherine asked weakly.
"I came to talk to you." James placed the ice park gently on Catherine's head. "Then I walk into room be find you sprawled at the foot of your bed with a scolding fever. What happened?"
"Nothing you need to worry about, I just had stress field day yesterday." Turning to face away from James. "You can go now." Catherine dismissed James.
"Um yeah I'm going to do just that." With a mocking laughter James walked to the other side of bed, crouched down so he could be at high level. "We fought and it was bad but if you think I'm going to leave you sick then I'm insulted."
"I'm fine James. I just want to be alone."
"Cat, tell me what's wrong. What happened in that warehouse?"
"I was the one that shot Albert." Catherine said sitting up and leaning on the headboard. "I didn't do it because he had kidnapped Katie when she was five or because he was going to shoot me or Sam. I shot him because he's the reason I lost my child." Without waiting for James to react Catherine got down from the bed, entering the bathroom and locking the door.
Catherine hoped but the time she was done James wouldn't press the issue but to be careful she was going to take her time.
After an hour of soaking in a tub of cold water to cool her scolding body and slowly moisturizing her pale skin, Catherine walked out of the bathroom relieved to see James gone.
Putting on a fluffy, red bathrobe Catherine decided to listen to are loud stomach. As she moved closer to the kitchen something spicy caressed the walls of her nose.
Walking into the kitchen Catherine wasn't surprised to meet James at the stove, she had he would have left but deep down she knew he wouldn't.
"What are you making?" Catherine asked sitting on a stool beside the island.
"Spicy chicken soup and mint herbal tea." James said scooping some soup into two bowls before pouring two cups of tea.
"It smells lovely." Catherine said at an attempt to keep the conversation light.
Placing the serving in front of Catherine and other for him James took a stool opposite Catherine.
"Enjoy." James immediately dug into the food not giving Catherine a second glance. Happy that James wasn't pressing the matter Catherine picked up her spoon to follow James' lead.
They ate in silence, only the sound of cutlery against their bowls could be heard. After Catherine was done with her soup and tea James slid over a cold bottle of water to help coold her body and keep hydrated. When she was done drinking he picked up the bottle and cleared their plates before moving back to his seat
"When were you pregnant Cat?" James asked staring at Catherine.
"James just drop it ok?" Catherine said standing up from her stool.
Grasping her hand before she could get away, James dragged Catherine to the living room placing her on a chair and kneeling in front of her.
"Cat, when were you pregnant?" He asked again but this time with pain and anger but not towards Catherine. But because his sister had gone through such lose and he wasn't their to help her and anger towards Albert and anyone that has ever hurt her.
Taking a deep breath and pushing away the tears begging to fall. "After you woke up."
That was all the information James needed, he began to search his memory of what had happened around the time he woke up form his coma.
He could picture Catherine by his side everyday but now he saw thing s he hadn't noticed before. Like Catherine did put on a little bit more but not that obvious and she was always chewing gum, Catherine never chewed gum.
Then he remembered that the week after he was discharged from the hospital she was gone for two weeks. Putting all this facts together realization dawned on James.
She was pregnant, she last the baby and all of these happened right in front of him.
