Chapter 438 - [Bonus ]Days MDCCCLXIX - MDCCCLXX, Part II

There was no answer, so I shouted again, and again, and again, and again.

- Do you know that you don't have to yell so much, do you? - he answered eventually. - I'm busy right now. What do you want, Peter?

- I need you to take me somewhere.

- You realize that I'm not your personal driver, do you?

- I know, but something bad happened, and it might have an impact on everything, so please.

- Where do you need to go?

- CIA headquarters.

- Langley, Virginia. Very well - he said.

I immediately found myself in front of a large complex, with multiple parking lots on both my sides and behind me. It was all surrounded by trees from every side. People were coming in and out. It took them a moment to spot the outsider and at first, they just looked at me curiously, but then I rushed towards the first guy, and some of them reached for their guns.

- Freeze! - shouted multiple people.

Just as they extended their hands with the pistols, I ripped them out of their hands using 'Telekinesis', and grabbed my target. I locked his muscles with my psychic powers, and pushed the rest, making them fell on their asses.

- I need to talk to your boss - I said to the guy.

He was tall and blonde, definitely good-looking.

- W-who are you? - he said wiggling a bit, trying to escape my grasp.

- Shut up, and lead me to your boss, or I'll squeeze the life out of you - I said to him, through my greeted teeth.

He hesitated, so I applied a bit of pressure, making him grunt, and picked two more people.

- Ok, ok, ok! Go inside, I'll show you the way! - he gave up.

I went through the door just to find myself in a large lobby with a bunch of armed people, ready to shoot me, hiding behind the corners. There were few control gates in front of me, with several counters equipped with conveyor belts and machinery to check the content of suitcases. Some people were hiding behind those too.

- Stop! - shouted multiple people.

I ignored them and went through one of the gates, alongside my hostages, that I flew through it, and caused an alarm to fire.

- Shut the fuck up, everybody. I'm here to talk with your boss and only that. We might fight, but you will lose, and I will tear this whole place down. So choose fucking wisely!

They responded with a cacophony of demands, trying to outdo the crying sirens of the alarm. Mostly to surrender, or to let the hostages go. Some wanted me to show them my hands, but it all went silent, as the alarm stopped.

- Mister Peter - one of the agents stepped out with his hands in the air. - Come with me. I'll lead you to the director.

- It wasn't that hard, was it? - I said to the blonde hostage.

I followed the guy in silence, with the other agents still in my grasp, all the way to the office of the deputy director. My guide opened the door for me, showing me a woman in her, probably, the fifties with her shoulder-length hair died to light bronze color. She was wearing a shirt and an elegant dark blue jacket and had a serious expression on her face.

I dropped the hostages, and went inside, closing the door behind me with 'Telekinesis'. 

- Hello mister Peter - she said to me. - I'm Gina Cohen, the deputy director of the agency. Please sit down, and explain to me why did you invade our headquarters.

She tried her best to act calm, but I noticed that she was nervous. She kept her hands flat on the desk, so I wouldn't notice her fingers shaking, and she kept peaking at the door behind me.

- You should know exactly why I'm here.

- I'm afraid I don't.

- You want the portal so badly, that first, you tried to fuck with Will, and now you almost got what you wanted through Aisha, but you didn't, and if her uncle will have to pay the price for it, I swear I'll find even if you hide on the other side of the globe. You won't run away from me.

I activated 'Eyes of the Void' for a better effect, and discovered a freaking bunch of armed to the teeth agents just behind the door. Thye are were wearing protective gear and had assault rifles. Just a single noise would probably make them storm inside.

- I'm afraid I still don't know what you are talking about. I'm not the one handling these matters. I'm simply too busy to supervise everything myself. There is a team delegated to this matter - she explained.

- Then bring them here.

- I'm afraid I can't do that.

- Then fix it yourself - I said, and used 'Telekinesis' to rip the guns out of the agent's hands, and slam them on the wall in front of them.

She jumped on her seat hearing the noise.

- I don't really care whose idea it was, or who is responsible. FIX IT. Or the next time we will see each other, I won't be this friendly, and everybody in my way to you is going to die! - I continued, then with my psychic power forced the door out the hinges, and slammed the agents with it.

She twitched again.

- I expect to hear news about that man being free very soon - I said at the and, and then walked off, to stare at the people, picking themselves up, in the corridor.

I dropped the anchor there for a good measure, and then shadow walked back to my house. With the 'Eyes of the Void' still active, I found Aisha and Wolf in my kitchen, sitting on the opposite sides of the table. He was touching his face. I didn't have to think too much to figure out that she punched him.

She jumped on her feet as soon as I showed up.

- I think it's fixed - I informed her and then turned to the agent. - Now you are gonna go, and make it your life's mission to keep me informed about her uncle's whereabouts.

He nodded.

- If he goes down, you all go down. What the hell are you still waiting here for?

He stood up and rushed out immediately.

- You think this will work? - she asked me.

- I don't know, but unless you want me to go to war with the US, then that's the best I can do. We need to wait. You should go and contact your parents bout this. Oh, and keep me updated.

She nodded.

- Can you give me a lift?

I came closer, grabbed her hand, and shadow walked her ba to the city. Then she suddenly kissed me on the cheek.

- Thank you - she said and rushed towards the Velvet Lotus.

After that, I had to do a bit of explanation to Hatta and others. I didn't go into too many details and told them just that she has been forced to vote against us, and she didn't do that. I also thought them that I'm working on the problem.

Then we all waited for new informations, but nothing more came up.

The day came to an end with 24 401 029 points remaining on my account, and 21 class points.
