Chapter 78:Damn...

"What!?"

Veon and Sheloah's uncle shouted in unison as they heard what Geof had said. Veon even stood up from his wheelchair, forgetting about his wound as his worry for Sheloah erupted like a volcano.

'Damn… look at the mess I just put myself into.'

"Sorry, Veon, Sheloah's uncle. I couldn't stop her and even Tyler followed her," Geof said and Veon sighed, irritated, as he frustratedly sighed.

"Veon, calm down… your injury," Josh said and Veon looked at him with sharp eyes.

"Calm down? You're telling me to calm down? How can I when Sheloah went to a place where it's dangerous?!"

Veon sat on his wheelchair abruptly and Josh just looked at him, worried.

"Sorry, Josh."

He apologized soon after when he realized that he was acting too rashly when Josh was just trying to calm him down.

"It's also partially my fault. I should have just kept my mouth shut. I'll handle this. I'll get her with the help of some of my comrades no matter how it takes."

Veon calmed down when he heard Geof's suggestion. Compared to Weapons of Massive Destruction's previous leader, Geof seemed to be more responsible and reasonable.

"So Tyler followed her?" Sheloah's uncle suddenly spoke and Geof nodded at him as his answer. "I trust Tyler and I know he'd find Sheloah but I wish both of them would be okay," he added and the boys suddenly went quiet. After some while, Veon spoke, surprising them by his decision.

"I'll go with Geof."

Geof, Josh, and Sheloah's uncle's eyes widened when they saw Veon standing up, ignoring his wound. The wound might open up if he moved too much.

"What are you saying? You need to rest," Josh said and Geof nodded, agreeing to what he said. They can't drag anymore people into this problem.

"What Josh said is right. Listen to him." Geof teamed up with Josh but Veon reacted as if he had not heard anything. He just shook his head as he got his gun from the table beside him.

"We'll be able to look for them faster when I join you guys," Veon sand and he looked at Josh. "Stay here. You'll be in charge for the meantime," he added and Josh shook his head, protesting.

Veon ignored him as he had a conversation with Sheloah's uncle. Josh then knew that he had no other choice but to listen to Veon. He sighed in frustration.

"I want to join, but I'm afraid and regret that as Sheloah's uncle, my hands are tied. Sir Erick and I are making emergency strategies for the next plan. I'll just keep this information a secret from my sister. If she knew her daughter is missing, she would go berserk in a snap," Jun, Sheloah's uncle said and Veon nodded.

Veon then turned to Geof. "Let's go."

Geof was about to get two more guys to join them but was stopped by Veon saying that it would just be making it risky for the two and it would be better if it's just the two of them. He had no choice but to obey. He knew that Veon was angry at the moment because of Sheloah's recklessness.

'He denies that they're a couple but acts like one?'
