Chapter 98:Josh Loves Dannie

In that song's line, people understood what Josh wanted to say. He sacrificed his life for Dannie and because of that sacrifice, Josh wanted to let Dannie know how much he loved her.

Sheloah finished crying and the others did, too. They gathered around Josh as they prayed for his death. This event is now considered one of the worst events that they had experienced.

They lost a friend; their best friend. In their group, Josh was always seen to be the type of person who could sacrifice himself for the person he loves.

After some while, they all continued their travel towards Dannie's house. As soon as they finished burying Josh and praying for him, they decided to fled for their safety as they cannot afford to lose anymore important people.

They were all wet because of the strong rain. They were all quiet as they went on with their journey. At the front is the vehicle of Sheloah's uncle, together with Sir Erick and the father of Dannie. They were now leading the two vehicles behind them towards their location.

"Sheloah."

Veon suddenly called Sheloah's reaction but she just continued looking outside the window. Clearly, she wasn't in the mood to talk to anyone because of how sad she felt over Josh's death.

She heard Veon sigh then afterwards, he swiftly put his dry jacket on Sheloah to keep her warm. This now had caught her attention. She looked at him as Veon continued to focus on his driving.

"I'm sorry, Veon… I don't know what to say. Honestly, I am a bit angry at Dannie," she just said and Veon nodded, trying to understand what she wanted to say. "I know that Josh loved Dannie… but if it wasn't for her, I think Josh would've still lived," she added and Veon sighed once more.

"We can't do anything. It already happened. We already knew that for a long time, Josh really loved her and he can throw his life away for her in a heartbeat," Veon said and Sheloah pouted at him.

"Are you siding with Dannie," she asked and Veon looked at her incredulously.

"Don't be stupid. I'm not siding with anyone. I'm just stating the facts here. Now don't plant anger in your heart," Veon said and Sheloah just huffed and folded her arms after she got scolded by Veon.

Despite being scolded, she knew that Veon was right. Dannie did not do anything wrong. It was clearly Josh's decision, after all. But still, Sheloah was saddened by the fact that she had lost a dear friend.
