Chapter 106:Before the Incident Happened

Veon was irritated. Sheloah suddenly disappeared the moment he was not with her. They just experienced a comrade's death and now came Sheloah's abduction? A lot of things happened during the apocalypse and it is not making Veon happy at all.

He turned back and he saw Isobel, Tyler and Shannara behind him. They were worried as they discussed amongst each other. Their other classmates were worried as to how Sheloah is doing now. The other parents were discussing on how to get her back. Especially her family, they are in a panic.

Sheloah's uncle approached Veon then spoke. "Veon, did you see her before she disappeared?" It was obvious in his eyes that he was beyond worried.

Veon knew that her family is now restless, especially Sheloah's mother. She is her only child and losing her would make her go crazy.

"I don't know what I'll do," Sheloah's mother said as she was walking frantically in the lobby. She was crying as well. "I just left her for a while, knowing that we're safe here and this happens? I feel like a useless mother," she said and Veon put his hand on her shoulder, comforting her.

"You're not a bad mother," Veon said and Sheloah's mother continued crying. Veon looked at Sheloah's uncle to answer his prior question. "The last time I saw her, she was in the garden, talking with Dannie then Shannara."

The moment Shannara heard her name, she came to approach them. Sheloah's uncle looked at her and talked to her directly.

"Yes. The last time we were together, we were talking about Veon," she answered honestly then she continued speaking. "When I left in order to talk to Veon, maybe that was when she ran towards the room," she added and Sheloah's uncle nodded when more information was given.

"I feel irresponsible. How could this happen," Sheloah's uncle said under his breath, but it was enough to be heard by the people near him.

"I'll look for her," Veon volunteered and everyone looked at him.

Sheloah's mother approached him. "Please do! I'll come with you," she said and agreed and her brother looked at her.

"You can't come. The only thing we could do now is to trust Veon and the others. You will only hinder them and hold them back if you come," he said and Sheloah's mother looked at him.

"So you're suggesting I'd let this pass and let my daughter be in a dangerous position!?" Sheloah's uncle sighed when he heard this from his older sister.

"That's not what I meant… I'm telling you to wait for her here. We will do the rest," he said and Sheloah's mother turned silent.

"We'll try our best to bring her back. We will plan this out as soon as possible," Veon said and everyone looked at Dannie when she suddenly spoke.

"Veon and the others… follow me. There is a possible lead as to where Sheloah was brought," she said and they all followed Dannie towards a room.
