Chapter 116:My Sleeping Beauty

"Well… my paper was blank," Kreiss started speaking again. "You went inside the guidance office to give something to the counselor. You saw me looking problematic then that's when you came near me and asked why my paper was blank. I didn't answer you and I just chose to ignore you," he added and Sheloah tried hard to remember.

"You got the pen from my hand and that's when you wrote on the paper. I was surprised because what you wrote on my paper was 'Anything I want' and yeah, it made sense, but it was difficult to follow what I wanted," Kreiss continued and Sheloah giggled.

"Okay. I kind of remember now. I remember writing that," she commented and Kreiss smiled.

"I wasn't yet talking to you during that time. When you looked at me, you just smiled at me then you said that if my family isn't willing to put up with what I want, then how am I going to finish what I don't want? You also told me that we work best with the ones we like and it made sense. You woke me up from being hopeless," Kreiss said with sincerity and Sheloah looked at him.

"You're the reason why I took the courage to get what I wanted. Yes, my family and I fought, but it was worth it. I got what I wanted. My father told me that it was his first time seeing me want something so bad that's why he gave me the chance to get what I wanted. Honestly, I was so happy!"

By then, Sheloah smiled at him genuinely. She never would have guessed that she inspired and motivated someone to pursue what they wanted in life.

"It's a good thing you got what you wished for," Sheloah said and Kreiss smiled at her, now with sincerity.

"Yeah. If it wasn't for you, I wouldn't be painting such good portraits," he said and Sheloah was surprised with the sudden action that he did.

Kreiss kissed her on the forehead.

"Thank you," Kreiss said and Sheloah still looked bewildered. "Thank you for coming inside that guidance office to wake me up," he said finally and now Kreiss grinned at her from ear to ear, showing appreciation towards Sheloah.

Sheloah still couldn't believe it. She did not realize that she had changed a great part in a person's life just by being playful and being nosey. She found it inspiring to have motivated people when it comes to life decisions.

"Why did you kidnap me," Sheloah suddenly asked and Kreiss's smile disappeared.

"That is a secret for now," he answered and Sheloah frowned. "I need to go," Kreiss added as he stood up then he gave her another notice. "Feel free to browse my paintings. I'll just be in the kitchen." The moment he said this, he left, leaving Sheloah behind.

Sheloah was left alone in the room. She sighed as she walked inside the room, looking at the paintings one by one.

She was so engrossed with looking at the portraits when suddenly, she bumped on a chair with drawn portraits on it. Sheloah was quite surprised but despite the room being messy, she took the initiative to pick up the papers one by one.

While she was picking up the sketches, she was flabbergasted to see one specific portrait with a familiar figure on it.

It was her.

She was sleeping. Sheloah was sleeping in his portrait. She was sleeping peacefully on the bed and a blanket covered her body up to her waist. Her left arm was on top of her head, and her right arm was on top of her stomach.

While Sheloah was looking at the drawing, her heart doubled its pace especially when she saw the title of the sketch that Kreiss had given.

My Sleeping Beauty.
