Chapter 118:Pasta It Is

"Kreiss!"

Sheloah called for Kreiss. He looked back, quickly hid the kitchen knife, then gave her a smirk.

Sheloah looked for him since she was bored being alone. She cocked her head to the left, wondering what he was doing.

"Why, princess," the boy just asked and he went near Sheloah, surprising her. "You want me to stay with you?"

Sheloah avoided his gaze as she pushed Kreiss. "No! I-I was just wondering where you went off to," the girl stammered. She took a small peek at the man in front of her then asked a question. "When are you going to let me go?"

Sheloah felt rather "safe" in the arms of the kidnapper. What was his motive? Whatever it was, Sheloah knew that he meant no harm despite his mysterious personality.

"Meh," Kreiss said as he waved his hand, looking disinterested. "Once I see what I want, then I'll let you go." This made Sheloah wonder.

"What do you mean?"

"It's a secret for now, princess," Kreiss said and he winked at her. This made Sheloah cringe once more, and it made her irritated at the same time so she puffed her cheeks, looking like a child having tantrums.

"Something's wrong with your brain," Sheloah mumbled, but it was enough for Kreiss to hear. He laughed slightly, then pinched her cheek. "Hey!"

"Cuteness won't work," the boy said and Sheloah just rolled her eyes at him.

"But, Kreiss…" Sheloah looked worried by this point. "I do need to get back. My family's waiting.... my friends are waiting. Do I need to leave by force?"

Kreiss's look softened on the girl. He took a strand of Sheloah's hair then looked at her genuinely.

"I know… for now, you just have to stick with me, 'kay? You have nothing to worry about. I'm not the kind of person as you think I am," he said, reassuring Sheloah and he actually sincerely smiled at her, calming her worries. Sheloah found herself smiling back, believing in him.

"You promise?" Kreiss nodded at the girl, then he looked at the kitchen counter.

"Let's cook something for lunch, then. I'm craving for pasta," he said and Sheloah's face showed surprise.

"Of all things we could eat, you chose to eat pasta," she commented and Kreiss raised a brow at her.

"Your point is?"

Sheloah leaned on the kitchen counter then held the uncooked pasta. "My point is… we should cook something simple. Your ingredients may be complete, yes, but we need to save up, y'know," she explained and Kreiss just shrugged his shoulders.

"Princess, I hate to tell you this, but I don't think like the others," he said then he squinted his eyes at her. "I may be kind to you—"

"You? Kind?" Sheloah interrupted him then scoffed. "Why are you kind? You kidnapped me!" The moment she said this, Kreiss laughed quite out loud, which made his voice unexpectedly sexy.

"If you think that I'm so bad…"

He walked slowly towards Sheloah and the girl backed off one step at a time, avoiding him, until she bumped on a wall behind her. Kreiss made a perfect kabe-don, and with his other hand, traced Sheloah's lip with his thumb.

"I would have taken advantage of you."

Sheloah's face naturally turned red and she violently shoved Kreiss away, making him stagger. This surprised him as well since he did not expect the girl to have such strength!

"Stop being flirty."

Kreiss took the warning and backed off. "I'm sorry. You don't have to be so angry, Sheloah."

This made her look at him. He had been calling her princess for a long time then suddenly, he called her by name?

"So… what now, then?" Sheloah changed the subject as she got a fresh tomato from the kitchen counter.

"It's final. Let's have pasta. Spaghetti!" Kreiss sounded excited and Sheloah laughed at him. He acted like a kid.

"Pasta it is, then," the girl finally agreed and the two started preparing for the pasta.
