Chapter 145:Could Kill Geof

Tyler got the things he needed like his gun and its bullets. He and Dannie then positioned themselves near John, Dannie's father, and he looked at them. He already knew what they planned to do.

"Are you ready, Geof," he asked as he was shooting down zombies from afar and Geof nodded at John as his answer.

Tyler looked at Geof. "Are you sure you're ready?" He asked just in case and Geof gave him a thumbs up. Dannie then gave him a walkie-talkie and the boy looked at her, curious.

"What's this for," Geof asked as Dannie put her own walkie-talkie on the floor, near her father.

"For communication's sake. We have to be in touch in case there are some changes in the plan," she answered and Geof kept the walkie-talkie in his jacket's front pocket so it was nearer to him.

"Thanks," he said then he stood up.

Tyler and Dannie escorted him to the door going down the house. He will leave the place using the back door, then to the main gate, for him to start distracting zombies. He would also be the one to signal Tyler and the others if they can already throw the grenade.

Tyler looked at him seriously. "Take care, Geof. When things get out of hand, it's good to retreat," he told him and Geof just smirked at him.

"The plan won't fail, trust me!" Geof was confident as he even gave a playful wink at the two, making them trust him. They shook hands as a temporary gesture of saying goodbye then they parted ways to push through with the plan.

Dannie and Tyler ran back to the rooftop and Tyler quickly got the walkie-talkie near John. "Geof, get in position. Wave us a signal once you're there."

"Roger," Geof said as they observed what was happening downstairs. Soon enough, they saw a familiar figure below and he waved at them, giving them a signal. He was not yet visible to the zombies but it made them nervous as well.

Tyler waved back. He did not want to speak anymore through the walkie-talkie or else Geof would be an early bait for the zombies.

Geof climbed up the wall near the gate and he noticed the zombies around their area. He held his katana quickly and tightly then he jumped down, getting the zombies' attention. Tyler counted the estimate number of zombies below and noticed that it was close to one class: like around 50 people, more or less.

The others started shooting down zombies. They target the ones who were closer to Geof first, before they proceeded to killing the others. Tyler, however, felt nervous about this because one wrong hit…

Could kill Geof.

They heard him talking over the walkie-talkie. "You better make this quick! Do not kill me, you hear!?" This gave more pressure to Tyler so he just tried to laugh it off slightly.

"Understood."

They started killing zombies from his left and from his right. With one slash, Geof looked at the opposite direction and slashed their heads as he moved. They noticed that his movements were becoming quicker by the second as the zombies were chasing him around the area.

Tyler realized that as they go farther away from their home city, the difficulty in handling zombies was getting more difficult than usual. It was like being in a video game wherein the difficulty increases as the storyline progresses.
