Chapter 181：What Dream

"First, let's do count off. I want to know how many we are as of the moment before we separate into groups," Erick said then Dannie's father, John, stepped forward.

"The members in the sniper team, however, won't join in the count off. Dannie and Ashley, step out," he said and the two he called stepped out from the crowd.

"Kreiss, Sheloah, and Geof, move out as well. The three of you will create another group with an important role," Jun, Sheloah's uncle, said. The three of them stepped out as well, leaving Tyler, Veon, Shannara, and Isobel behind with the other members.

"Let's look into the supports first. To those who trained with the other supporters including the parents and those members who were with Geof, please do a count off," Erick instructed and they did so. All in all, there were a total of 14 supports, including the parents.

"Next for the attackers, do a count off. Do the same as the supports," Jun said then they did as they were told. All in all, the total of attackers would be 17. "Healers, do a count off," Jun gave another instruction and there was a total of 11 healers.

Erick sighed then he looked at everyone seriously. "I made totals. The number of adults here in the group are 15. Add me, John, the adviser of 4A, Jun, we are 19."

Those who heard this were quite surprised. They didn't know that there were only a few adults with them.

"For the number of students—" Ashley suddenly interrupted Erick.

"Let's cut to the chase. The number of students here are 32, including us students here in front. If you add the total of the students and the adults, all in all, we are 51."

When the crowd heard this, they started whispering among themselves. Ashley still continued to speak.

"With these numbers, do you think we can survive going to Manila, for us to fly to Australia," Ashley added and his question was like an eye opener for them which made others panic.

"Guys, quiet down," Erick said but the others weren't listening because they were busy discussing with each other.

"What are we going to do now?"

"I told you… we're going to die!"

"You think everyone of us can come?"

"It's impossible for everyone to go."

"Most of us will die. Not everyone can go!"

"This can't be! I don't want to die!"

A lot were heard from each group and hearing these from the others, it made Sheloah nervous. How can they really come together?

They were just talking about this and most of them already knew that they won't be able to make it together—that some will get hurt, that some will die. Some may turn into a zombie and they won't have a choice but to kill them then leave them.

Thinking about this is tragic.

Sheloah looked at Veon and he saw how he was slumped on the ground, anxious. The girl felt that there was something off about him.

Veon held his face. There was fear in his eyes but what is he scared of? It reminded Sheloah of how scared Veon was when she saw him having a nightmare.

'I'm worried.'

Sheloah noticed that Veon was looking at her. She was more surprised when she noticed that the boy was already crying. He avoided looking at Sheloah then he started wiping his tears.

Why is he crying? Why does he look pained?

"Shut it!"

Sheloah was about to approach him but was stopped when Dannie's father suddenly shouted, getting everyone's attention.

Everyone looked at the man who was annoyed at the moment.

"Listen."

Everyone went quiet, afraid that he might get angry at any moment.

"Okay, so we'll do this. We're going to make a group. Sir Erick and Sir John would be assisting and then you can move on to your training as a group. For us to get resources tomorrow, the strike team having Sheloah, Kreiss, and Geof as members, would be coming," Jun said then everyone listened to him.

"Group one of the attack team with Veon as the group leader, and another attacker, will be going with them, which is going to be Shannara. One support, Tyler, and one medic, Isobel, you guys would also be coming. Get your members," Jun added and everyone nodded then did as they were told.

"Everyone, stand up but stay put. We are going to fix the groupings. Once everyone is complete, go train as a group," John said then everyone stood up.

Sheloah was approaching Veon. She wanted to ask him why he was crying. She was worried about him but she was suddenly surprised when Veon approached her quickly then spoke.

"My dream is going to happen."

Sheloah was about to speak but Veon suddenly walked away and went inside the house to be alone. All of a sudden, he suddenly became disoriented because of the plan. Sheloah was unsure but was Veon's dream the trigger of this?

What dream is he talking about?
