Chapter 251 - The truth

"Yeah, it's a girl...Notice the lack of peepee?" asked Dr. Phillip with a grin as he pointed at the screen.

DX and Kai Xin looked at it and they did not see anything. However, they trusted Dr. Phillip's judgment.

Dr. Phillip wiped the gel off Kai Xin's belly and pulled down her shirt before saying, "From the size of the baby, I think she's at least 4 months old. The most dangerous time has passed. Not to say that there is no risk but it would be minimal. Eat well, drink well, exercise a little everyday and 5 months later, your little princess would be ready to meet everyone."

"Thank you, Dr. Phillip..." said Kai Xin as she caressed her belly lovingly. She then asked, "If you don't mind, can I get your number so that I can just ask you whenever I have questions?"

"Of course," replied Dr. Phillip before he took her phone and keyed in his details.

Once he was done, he gave it back to her while saying, "Feel free to text or call me. If I can't answer your call, I'd call back as soon as possible...And XiAn, let's have a talk later. Since it's your first time dealing with a pregnant woman, I think we need to go through something on what you can and cannot do..."

Somehow, Kai Xin had a feeling what Dr. Phillip was going to talk about and her face turned as red as a tomato before she shooed the two of them out of the room.

Once they were outside, DX asked in a serious tone, "What is it?"

They had been friends long enough for Dr. Phillip to know when to be serious around DX.

As they walked, he said in a serious tone, "I talked to Kai Xin earlier. She asked me if I was the same Dr. Phillip who was Lyle's psychologist and I told her the truth. After that, she told me about the fact that she had an abortion before and how she was worried that...that you might have some thoughts about it that you cannot talk to her about."

DX frowned, "Should you be telling me all these?"

Even though he wanted to know everything about her including her thoughts, he wanted her to tell him herself and not through someone else.

Placing a hand on DX's shoulder, Dr. Phillip reassured him by saying, "Don't worry. Even if you are my friend, I would never tell you anything that my patient tells me in confidence. She was the one who told me to talk to you. I told her that I would talk to you about it and she said that she would not pry into our conversation. I think she's really worried about you."

DX nodded, "I'll talk to her later...Anything else?"

"A couple more things that you have to be careful about...Abortion, regardless of the method, is detrimental to the mother's body... and he was worried that it might affect her current pregnancy."

"What did you tell her?" asked DX.

"I'll take note of that..." said DX. When Layla was pregnant, he was there and he watched how much she changed during the pregnancy. Even though she was a strong woman, she cried constantly. In fact, her emotions were so unstable that she nearly had a miscarriage during one of her fits. DX was not about to take the chance with Kai Xin and their daughter.

"Final thing..." Dr. Phillip cleared his throat. He was a professional so he should be fine with it. However, that did not make him feel less uncomfortable talking to DX about his future s*ex life.

"When you guys are...fooling around...try not to be that rough...especially when she gets bigger with time..."

"I know that even without you telling me..." said DX. However, after a thought, he added gruffly, "Send me something to read on that..."

After chatting a little longer, he sent Dr. Phillip off. While he walked back to the room Kai Xin was in, he thought about the conversation with Dr. Phillip.

"Should I let her handle the matter?" thought DX. Even though she said that she had a plan, with her current condition, he was worried that it might put too much stress on her.

With a sigh, he pushed open the door. If she was a lot more submissive, he would keep her locked away where she could be happy everyday.

When he thought of the expression on her face earlier when she was looking at the screen, he smiled as he thought, "If she's a lot more submissive, she wouldn't be the Kara I love..."
