Chapter 381 - I'sve got no energy

Name:Be My Strength Author:LuoYeYouLing
"ARGGGGH!!!!"

Mrs. Luo shrieked as she dropped the gun. Her hand was bleeding from the shot that came out of nowhere.

"Who?!" yelled her men as they pulled out their guns and turned around.

That was when they realized the laser pointer that were pointed on their abdomens and head.

Their eyes followed the laser and saw people who were dressed completely in black clothes with their guns pointing through the cracks.

One of the men yelled in Russian, "Who are they? Where's the men we left outside?"

"F*ck!" cursed the other man in Russian.

As she held her injured hand, Mrs. Luo yelled, "What are you waiting for!! Get then!!"

A second later, they heard another loud bang and the metal door was kicked open.

Heavy footsteps could be heard and within seconds, they were completely surrounded by an army of men who were dressed in black.

Following behind them was Callum who was fully dressed in black with a gold dragon embroidered on his chest.

It was a similar design to the dragon jade pendant that he gifted to Kai Xin. It was his emblem and the mark that stated his position as the next Head of the Shenlong Family.

When he saw Ghost's battered state, his eyes turned even colder than before and even his men were afraid to meet him in the eyes.

Callum glared at Mrs. Luo and her men who were looking at him with eyes that reflected their fear. In an emotionless voice, he said, "Secure them. I'll deal with them later."

"Yes, Young Master!" shouted the men. Following the man with purple stripe, the rest of the men moved in formation and forced the Russian men to drop their guns.

Their ranks were differentiate by the different colors of the a single strip on their shoulder area.

"We've surrounded the place. If you don't wish to die like your men outside, you'll put your gun down immediately!" warned the man with the purple stripe.

While his men were dealing with the three deadmeat, Callum went to Ghost. When he saw Ghost's hand, he clenched his jaws.

"You're late… Idiot…" murmured Ghost as he finally released the breath that he was holding in earlier.

To say that he was unafraid while facing death would be wrong. Maybe, if it was a year ago, he would care nothing about his own life.

However... He was no longer someone who had to live like a ghost. He had friends and a future now. Furthermore... Ghost glanced at Callum. He thought, "The have changed."

Callum did not say anything. Instead, he glanced over his shoulder at his older cousin, Shenlong Yuan and said sharply, "Get the medics to drive in. I'll bring him to the car."

Shenlong Yuan nodded.

Even though he was older, according to their family rules, Callum outranked him. He was surprised when he received a call from President Du's assistant asking him to gather his people.

He was even more surprised when he saw his younger cousin whom he had not seen for almost a year all decked out in the Shenlong Family's outfit.

There was anger in Callum's eyes as Callum pulled rank on him.

What surprised Shenlong Yuan the most was when he saw Callum looking at Ghost with pain reflected in his eyes.

"Why is he looking as if he's the one who is hurt?" thought Shenlong Yuan as he watched the two.

He had never seen his stubborn cousin with such a gaze before.

"This is gonna be interesting." Shenlong Yuan grinned as he made the call. He could only imagine his grandfather throwing a fit once he found out about it.

Glancing at the three people that were made to lie down on the dirt, he shook his head as he thought, "Deadmeat…"

Callum did not carry Ghost up immediately. Instead, he gently helped Ghost to lie on his back. He then knelt down on one knee next to him as he checked him from top to bottom.

As he pressed Ghost lightly on the ribs, Ghost groaned.

"It hurts here?" asked Callum softly as he pointed at the place he pressed earlier.

Ghost nodded, "A little… I think it's cracked or something…"

Callum growled and glared at the Russian men. His blood was boiling but they were the least of his problem at the moment.

He then turned to Ghost and asked, "Did you hit your head earlier?"

Ghost thought for a moment before saying, "No, but my neck felt a little stiff… Argh… "

Callum frowned and when Ghost held his left hand with a pained expression, Callum gently removed Ghost's right hand so that he could take a look at the damaged hand.

It was bleeding from where it was cut open by the heels.

He took a good look at it and when Ghost moaned, Callum cursed, "I think it's broken, not just fractured. Did she do this?"

With a pale face, Ghost nodded, "T-They drugged me… I've got no energy…"

"I know. My wife is usually stronger than this…" said Callum as he gently placed Ghost's hand down.

Ghost glared at him, "W-Wait until I get my energy back… I'll show you who is the wife."

Callum smiled and he whispered, "Close your eyes and rest first. I'll be back with you shortly."

Since he was in too much pain and too tired, Ghost merely nodded and closed his eyes. Now that he was safe, his inbuilt fight or flight sensor was gone.

Without it, his body was more perceptive to the temperature around him and it responded to the cold evening wind by shivering.

When he was kidnapped earlier, he was only wearing a light hospital gown and a pair of slacks. It was barely enough to provide his body with sufficient warmth.

Noticing it almost immediately, Callum took off his jacket and covered Ghost up with it.

Once he told his men to guard Ghost, Callum then slowly walked over to Mrs. Luo as he kept his cold eyes on her.
