Chapter 424 - Do you think I'sm just a silly old man?

While DX and Kai Xin were at home, unnoticed by anyone other than the night staff, Callum was actually at a fancy restaurant in the city center. He was waiting inside a private room with another woman.

Old Master Shenlong gave Callum an ultimatum. If he did not voluntarily bring his pregnant woman over for a formal introduction, Old Master Shenlong would visit her personally. In his message, he even said, "If you do anything as dumb as hiding her somewhere, I'd do everything in my power to find out her whereabouts. Don't forget who still rules the underground world…"

Callum was defeated by his grandfather's stubbornness. He had been trying to avoid the issue by saying that his "girlfriend" went overseas but after a month, his grandfather asked again. Old Master Shenlong did not believe that a pregnant woman who was about to give birth would still remain overseas instead of coming back to be with the father of her baby.

At first, Callum did not know what to do. After he admitted to Ghost what he did in order to save him, Ghost merely replied him one word: "Idiot".

Callum had tried to convince Ghost to wear a female disguise but the latter had punched him in the gonads. Once, when Ghost was asleep in Callum's apartment, he was woken up in the middle of the night with Callum trying to put him in a dress. He was so angered by it that he kicked Callum off the bed and forced him to sleep on the floor instead.

He ignored Callum for an entire week following his trick. After that, Callum did not dare to suggest it again. That one week, no matter how he begged and apologize, Ghost ignored him completely. He even pretended that Callum did not exist.

In the end, out of desperation, Callum hired a beautiful woman who was 6 months along to pose as his girlfriend. When Ghost found out about it, he was a little annoyed by it but he did not say anything to Callum.

Earlier in the evening, after Callum sent him a message earlier letting him know that he would be going to a high-end restaurant with the woman, it had irritated Ghost. At first, Ghost wanted to ignore it and he kept telling himself that Callum was an idiot that was not worthy of his time.

However, an hour later, he felt restless and went out of his bedroom to the kitchen to get something to drink. He found his grandfather at the kitchen with Butler Douglas. They were chatting and when they saw him, they stopped talking.

"Ye Ye," greeted Ghost before he went to the fridge to pour himself some milk. He was hoping that the milk could make him drowsy so that he would not have to think about this.

"Guang Ying, why are you here? Are you hungry? Douglas, make him something to eat," said Grandfather Luo before he took a sip of his hot tea.

Ghost stopped Butler Douglas and said to his grandfather, "I'm not hungry. I'm just… I have something in my mind…"

After he was kidnapped and saved, he told his grandfather that he went for a trip overseas with Callum. After he was discharged, in order not to give his grandfather more things to worry about, he stayed with Callum at one of his high-end apartments for the past two months while his hand was still healing. Butler Douglas helped him covered up his tracks during that period of time.

Otherwise, it would be hard to explain his broken hand to his grandfather.

Ghost sat down at the bar stool next to his grandfather. After a while, he asked, "Ye Ye… Would you… Would you accept the person I love?"

Grandfather Luo raised an eyebrow before asking, "Are you talking about Shenlong Xun?"

Ghost gasped. He looked at Butler Douglas who shook his head to say that he did not say anything to Grandfather Luo.

He then turned back to Grandfather Luo and tried to pass it off as a joke, "What are you talking about, Ye Ye? How is that possible?"

Grandfather Luo raised another brow at Ghost and said, "Do you think that I'm just a silly old man? I've seen how that boy looks at you…"

"I-I'm sorry…"

Grandfather Luo shook his head. He was uncomfortable with the idea of his grandson dating a man, but he decided to put his own judgment aside. The Luo Family's empire had been destroyed by his son, and he was already an old man who was just a step away from entering his grave. People's view was no longer important to him.

What was important to him now was to ensure that his grandson was happy and safe. Ghost was the last of the Luo Family's line now, and with this, he knew that he would never get to hold his great-grandson. It saddened him. But considering how messed up their blood was, it might be better this way.

Two months ago, Luo Yin's trial was concluded and he was sentenced to 25 years in jail. His son, Luo Han, was in distraught from it and spent most of the time drinking. With his political career and corporate career down in the drain, Luo Han no longer had the drive to do anything.

As for Ye Tian... Grandfather Luo tried to look for him before but no one knew where he was. Even Mr. Ye did not know where his son was. The companies under the management of the Ye Family took a hit as well, but it was not as bad as Luo Corporation.

He then sighed as he thought about how his grandson would be at the losing end against Callum who was bigger in size.

"I know some people too," said Butler Douglas. He was still uncomfortable with letting his young master date a man, but he had no choice. If Grandfather Luo was fine with it, who was he to say otherwise… He had seen the smiles on Ghost face lately. Ghost had been smiling much more lately, especially when he was on the phone with Callum.

In the 20 years that he knew him, Butler Douglas had never seen such a sincere smile on Ghost's face.

Ghost smiled when he heard the two. He doubted that his grandfather and butler could actually do something to Callum but it was nice to hear it.

After a few more minutes, Ghost made up his mind. He suddenly stood up and said, "I'll be right back, Ye Ye. Don't wait up for me!"

Without saying anything else, he ran out of the kitchen and went straight to his bedroom. After he changed his clothes, he went to the garage and took one of the Porsche out.
