77 Mrs. Ren

Nian Jiezhen has always wanted to hear those words. It was reassuring her that there was someone who was there for her, but despite the words he said, she didn't want to put him in danger.

\"Now that we're married, we should celebrate!\" He grinned at her.

\"And how do you plan on celebrating?\"

He smirked, \"I have an interview scheduled today. You should come with me.\"

She frowned deeply. Just by looking at his expression, she knew what he was planning to do.

\"We have already talked about this, right? No one is allowed to know about our marriage!\"

\"I'm not going to talk about our marriage; I just want to introduce my lovely wife to them. Besides, the Director already asked me if I can bring you there as a surprise guest to everyone.\"

Surprise guest? \"Why are you telling this to me now?\"

\"Surprise?\" He chuckled softly. \"Now come on, we should go.\"

\"Mr. Ren, we've heard that you plan on retiring after marrying your fiance, is this true?\" The host asked.

\"Yes, I do plan on retiring soon.\" Ren Shiyuan said with a smile. \"My life's been going great and this time, I want to focus on having a family.\"

The audience that mostly consisted of Ren Shiyuan's fans were saddened by the news but it was understandable.

It was only normal, there were other artists who stopped being one so that they can focus on their families.

\"We'll be missing seeing you on the screen then.\"

The audience nodded in agreement. The ratings of the movies and dramas Ren Shiyuan was in always skyrocketed.

Many people recognized him not only because of his handsome looks but because of how talented he was.

Ren Shiyuan lightly chuckled at the Host's remarks.

\"Going on the next question, there are so many fans that are curious about your mysterious fiance, and I admit I am one of them. How did you meet her, Mr. Ren?\"

The audience was glad to hear the question, the Host was finally asking questions that fans were curious about.

\"We met through a friend and I really am thankful to my friend.\"

Yes, if Xia Meilin wasn't with Nian Jiezhen at that time, he might still be trying to scheme on how to get Xia Meilin from Lu Yifeng.

\"May we know what kind of person she is?\"

\"She's a strong-willed and adorable girl.\" Ren Shiyuan's face brightened up as he started talking about Nian Jiezhen. \"A woman that never ceases to amaze me.\"

\"There's been a few videos and photos of her online, I kinda want to meet her in person. We all want to see what kind of person Ms. Nian is so we have invited her to our show tonight.\" The Host turned to the camera and smiled, \"Everyone, please welcome Ms. Nian Jiezhen.\"

Everyone clapped and welcomed Nian Jiezhen who walked in and entered the stage.

Her height and her poise was something that attracted the audience. She looked extra beautiful in person, well, she was really dressed up by Ren Shiyuan that night.

Nian Jiezhen bowed before she took a seat beside Ren Shiyuan.

Few chuckles were heard coming from the audience.

Ren Shiyuan didn't hold back from holding Nian Jiezhen's hand and entwining their fingers. It's his way of showing that he really was serious.

He never brought or introduced his past girlfriends on shows like this after all.

Nian Jiezhen was nervous but the moment Ren Shiyuan held her hand, she was able to relax.

\"Thank you for coming here tonight, Ms. Nian.\" The Host started as he moved his attention to her.

While Ren Shiyuan was distracted by his own thoughts, Nian Jiezhen was answering and conversing with the Host.

Then a video was shown on the screen, unlike back then where fans got angry because it, the audience laughed this time.

Another round of laughter was heard because of his remark.

Nian Jiezhen turned to Ren Shiyuan and smirked, raising an amused brow. \"Yeah, right. You were on a diet.\"
