78 Abduction

Daniel Wu was watching the show in his darkroom. He was staring at Nian Jiezhen's face again.

She was someone who captivated him.

When he captured her back then, she didn't panic, not did he saw fear in her eyes despite the small torture he gave her.

Ever since, he decided on wanting her.

\"Han Zhilong, it's time for us to move.\"

\"Shiyuan, I'll be heading off to work now.\"

Nian Jiezhen leaned, giving a kiss on Ren Shiyuan's cheek.

\"You sure that you don't want me to drop you off?\" He has been feeling uneasy for a few days now. He felt something was off but he wasn't able to point what it was.

She chuckled, \"You know how much can manage myself.\"

\"Don't forget to bring your gun.\"

\"It's always with me.\"

It was the day that Nian Jiezhen's friends from BAU arrived. She was going to meet them so that they can start handling Daniel Wu's case.

Daniel Wu has already started moving and he already has killed a few civilians.

Nian Jiezhen was sure that it was him since his signature was on the crime scene when she went to investigate.

Nian Jiezhen went out of the elevator after reaching the basement.

As she entered her car and locked the door, she never expected to have Daniel Wu waiting at the back.

In one swift motion, he covered her nose with a handkerchief.

Nian Jiezhen was surprised. Why was Daniel Wu here?!

How the hell did he find out where she was living?!

She may have been living in Ren Shiyuan's place back then but after Daniel Wu's reappearance, with Ren Shiyuan's permission, they transferred.

Nian Jiezhen tried her best to struggle but the scent of chloroform was strong, making her faint.

Daniel Wu pulled Nian Jiezhen to the backseat as Han Zhilong came and took over the driver's seat.

For some reason, Ren Shiyuan has been feeling so uncomfortable after Nian Jiezhen left. Was it just his imagination?

He wanted to make sure so he decided to call her.

\"The number you dialed is out of coverage area.\"

Ren Shiyuan couldn't help but furrow his brows since he couldn't reach her at all.

He tried to call her again but it was still the same.

His heart shook because of it.

\"No, nothing's wrong.\" He tried to convince himself. \"My princess is strong, nothing bad can happen to her.\"

But despite saying that, he picked up his car keys and decided to head straight to her workplace, just to make sure that she really was fine.

\"Oh! I remember you, you're NJ's fiance!\" Jeremy said with a grin upon seeing Ren Shiyuan. \"What are you doing here?\"

Ren Shiyuan smiled at him, \"I've come to visit her.\"

\"NJ? She's not here.\" Dale said as he walked towards them.

Ren Shiyuan's brow twitched, \"What do you mean not here? She left for work earlier.\"

Hearing what he said, Dale eyed Jeremy. Jeremy nodded and went to gather their team in the office.

\"Was that the last time you saw her?\" Dale asked.

With that question, Ren Shiyuan instantly knew that there was something wrong.

\"You don't think that it's Daniel Wu, right?\" Ren Shiyuan asked with a worried look on his face.

\"We're still not sure about it that's why we need your cooperation, Mr. Ren.\"

Ren Shiyuan's hands started sweating profusely. He should have followed his instincts and dropped Nian Jiezhen to work instead.

\"We will need your full cooperation. Let's discuss this in my office, Mr. Ren.\"

If Nian Jiezhen has really been abducted by Daniel Wu, then Ren Shiyuan will be needing her friends' help to get her back.

He tried his best not to panic since he knew that it wasn't going to help to have Nian Jiezhen back.

He needed to know what kind of person Daniel Wu was since Nian Jiezhen didn't tell him everything back then.
