Chapter 19 - A Little Kiss

At the restaurant, Alex had an excellent evening with Ethan. They talked all evening about everything and nothing, their hobbies, what they like to do, how they spend their free time, what they like about their jobs, and so on. Oddly enough, for some reason Alex felt that Ethan wasn't telling her a lot of things, she thought he was hiding something, she felt that when Ethan talked about himself, he was rather awkward. Some questions he'd just answer her with a sweet smile or a nod without saying anything. Only she couldn't go any further with those questions because she wasn't very honest with him herself. She found that it was really hard to open up to someone.

After the nice dinner, Ethan took Alex home. When they arrived at their destination, before she got out of the car, he tenderly took her hand and gave her a little kiss on it, wishing her a beautiful night. At this point Alex was mesmerised by Ethan's gesture, that little kiss made her all giddy and overwhelmed. Sure, it was new feelings she was discovering. Strangely, she wanted to feel more, and she didn't know how, she found herself taking Ethan's face in her delicate hands to press a small, tender kiss to his lips.

Ethan was genuinely surprised by that small, tender kiss. He wanted to return it, he wanted to give her a sweet kiss, he was burning inside to taste her beautiful reddish lips, but he knew it wasn't the right time! He knew he had to take it slow with her, so he decided to do nothing. He didn't want to surprise or scare her, but damn, God only knew how much he wanted to bite into those beautiful fleshy lips at that moment.

He just took her hands in his, looked into her ocean blue eyes and smiled at her not saying a word. Alex was all red and couldn't believe what she'd just done! She smiled sheepishly and got out of the car as fast as she could, wishing him a good night.

Ethan stayed in his car for a while longer, thinking of the pleasure he would have while devouring those pretty lips when he finally made her his. He convinced himself to wait a little longer! He could see that Alex wasn't completely against them dating, he could see in her eyes that she wanted to try too, and that little kiss right now was all the motivation he needed to keep going!

Arriving home, Alex rushed into her friend's room with red cheeks. Seeing her so excited, Fidelia already guessed that something interesting had happened to her best friend; she couldn't wait to find out what it was!

Fidelia made Alex sit on her bed before activating her gossip mode. "Baby girl, you look very happy!!!, so what happened? Tell me quickly!!!

"Nothing special, I just put my lips on a man's lips! A few days ago, I couldn't even touch a man without having a panic attack, and now there's this beautiful man who just confessed to me that he likes me, and who I guess I like in return. Someone I can touch and who can hug me in return. I'm just so overwhelmed, it's like a good dream!"

Fidelia was so happy for her friend, her smile couldn't have been wider! She was so curious to know what Alex's thoughts were about her first kiss... that she couldn't help but ask, "So tell me how you felt, I want to know everything! It's your first time! I thought you wouldn't be able to have a relationship like that, I'm so happy for you!!!"

"I don't even know how to describe it! But it felt good, and I want to feel more! It's like I'm discovering something new, can you imagine the feelings I can finally feel... it's so magical for me!!!" Alex snuggled up to her friend smiling; she couldn't wipe the smile off her face.

"And do you feel that just because Ethan can touch you without making you feel sick or because it's Ethan? I mean because you feel something else for him?" Fidelia asked looking Alex in the eye, she hoped it was because she felt something for the man even if she was the one who had pushed her to try, she knew how much a relationship without love could hurt.

"Honestly, for both! I'm not sure how I feel about him, I don't know if it's love or just a little excited because he's the only one who can touch me. So, I want to discover more, I want to know more about these feelings to know if it's love or not!" She said with determination in her eyes. "What about you? Did you call him back?" Alex tried to draw attention to her friend, knowing that Fifi would want to talk more about her feelings if she hadn't another topic to talk about.

"Baby girl, I'm definitely not going to call him first, don't worry, he'll get back to me later tonight! Just you wait, I'm sure he'll call me back." She was so confident that Alex became a little envious of her. She wished she'd that much courage. But after a second, she thought that maybe she had that courage too, just that she didn't get involved with men to know about it.

"I see Miss Rodriguez is confident..."

Fidelia just blinked innocently at her friend. "Baby girl, if I put my Versace dress on the floor, this guy can't forget me. I mean, look at me!" They burst out laughing together after that arrogant statement.

After showering and dressing comfortably in her red silk pyjamas, Alex was ready to go to bed, but strangely, without thinking, she walked out onto her balcony, hoping to see her neighbour again. She couldn't help but think of his voice. For some reason, Ethan's voice today was quite similar to her mysterious neighbour, so she couldn't help but think of him.

That night, the balcony next door was pretty quiet. She tried to see if anyone was there, but everything was black, there was no light on, so she figured he wasn't there. She sighed and was about to return to her room when that raspy and suave voice called out to her:

"Are you looking for me?" asked Eliott, looking at her through the impenetrable glass.

"I see I've been exposed, I just wanted to know how the research was going?" Alex had a big smile on her face without even realising it. She was glad to hear his voice that night as well.

Eliott was fascinated by her beautiful smile, it was so communicative that he smiled too. "Oh really? Where did you get this curiosity?"

"Um, I just wanted to know, after all, I do help out a bit, right? I figured it wouldn't be a big deal for me to ask.

"Well, you're not wrong, you have every right to ask... Let's just say I'm on a very good track. How about you? Today you look pretty happy, a good day?"

"Yeah, pretty good actually, I'd a nice evening," Alex smile widened even more as she thought about her good time with Ethan.

"Looks like you had a date, right? So, were you sad about a guy last night?" asked Eliott a little sadly.

"No, of course not, it was over something much more personal." She gave a bitter smile. "Um, can I ask you something?"

"Yeah, why not, but I need to ask you a question too, alright?" Eliott was quite curious as to what she was going to ask him even thought he could much or less guess Alex's question. His new neighbour was really making him curious.

"Um, deal! My question is simple. Can I see your face?" asked Alex, she was too curious, the fact that his voice sounded almost exactly like Ethan's worried her a little. She was starting to think that maybe the actor was trying to play a prank on her or something like that.

"Well, you can if you tell me why you were sad last time?" Eliott smirked, somehow he had guessed she would ask that.
